Wow. What a game. Probably the best and most historical football game that I've ever been to. And trust me, I've been to a lot of games. And this is the 7th consecutive Giants game that I've been to, when they lost. mad P: I guess I'm a bad luck charm, but then again, those games (over the past 2 years) included very good teams (Panthers, Colts, Saints, Bears, Packers, Cowboys, Patriots)

The atmosphere was great. There actually weren't as many Patriots fans as I thought, because of the news that a lot of Giants season ticket holders have sold their tickets. I would actually say that Giants fans outnumbered the Patriots fans.

I agreed with Coughlin to play his starters. They needed to play against the best team in the NFL, in order to ensure momentum and experience for the playoffs. And you know Belicheck; his starters would definitely play the entire game.

The game was pretty much down to the wire the whole 60 minutes. The Giants' offense exploited the whole Patriots defense, and the Patriots' offense exploited the Giants secondary. Burress, Jacobs, Eli, and Boss really roughed up the Patriots. Brady, Welker, Moss, and Faulk really killed the Giants. As for defense, the Giants' defensive line and linebackers played really well, but their secondary (pretty common) played pretty horrible. The Patriots' linebackers played pretty well, but their secondary was lost, and their defensive line didn't put up much pressure.

Kudos to the Patiots on records broken in that game. Perfect 16-0, best undefeated season run, yet tied with 3 other undefeated teams in NFL histroy. 589 points scored in a season, most in NFL history. 75 Touchdowns in a season, most in NFL history. Brady's 50 touchdown passes in a season, most in NFL history. Moss's 23 touchdown receptions in a season, most in NFL history.

...The Giants really should have won this game. They made some huge mistakes, such as drops and miss-coverages, but most of all very costly penalties. The Patriots had no mistakes (as usual), so only if the Giants fixed those penalties, then they would have won, and re-made history.

All in all, it was a great game to go to with the history, atmosphere, and gameplay. I'm lucky to be a part of history, and only hoped that the Giants (who were ahead and has momentum) could have closed the game. If their's one finger to point, it's probably on the Giant's safeties. Hopefully the Giants, after that performance, will go far in the Playoffs. But congratulations to the Patriots on going 16-0, and taking all these records, but you know it doesn't mean anything unless you win the Super Bowl. wink

GO GIANTS mrgreen cool

Yea, I was lucky. I only go to competitive or good games if I can.

Yea, the refs made some pretty bad calls and no-calls.

Like that call on Toomer that backed up their momentum (where the replay showed he wasn't even doing anything), the no-call on Wilfork's eye poking of Jacobs (should have been an ejection), a call against the Giants D on a 4th down stop where nothing was done, no-calls on a few late hits on Brady, and some other things.

...I'm kinda mad...the Giants should have won, but they just could not close. Also, if you're the Giants, your facing one of the best clutch athletes of all time in Tom Brady. He can close, and win, in any situation, which is what he did.

You've seen it, in like 5 games this season. The Patriots are vulnerable to lose. Yea, they're the favorite to go 19-0, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Patriots end up losing in the playoffs.

...And cockiness is only going to jynx you wink razz

What do you mean? The refs didn't even call a foul on that. That should've been an ejection...Anyways, how'd you like that?

heres what I think that interception did not help Eli Manning and the Giants(it was a good game though now its up to the playoff teams to beat the Pats)

Well, Yea, an interception never helps a QB or a team, but he is not to blame, throwing for 250 + yards, throwing 4 TD, running when he needed, moving well in and out of the pocket, and controlling the offense. This is the type of QB they need present in their next playoff game @ Tampa Bay.

But Eli's not the reason they lost. If you want to point fingers, it's probably at NYG's secondary.

This just in...

Wilfork is now being fined $15K for that action. It's his third fine of the season.

A ref is supposed to call a foul/penalty, because it is a foul/penalty. Not because it would have hurt the defense. confused
