It had been a while since he had actually gone out. But never quite alone anymore, seeing as how Mushu always accompanied him.

Sighing, he transfered his attention to his surroundings, gazing thoughtfully at the trees. The winter frost that had settled, seemed to be melting somewhat providing a soggy day. "Lovely." He thought outloud, walking forward with the utmost reluctance.

He pawed at the ground, almost absentmindedly unearthing nothing of interest. A boring day was not on his agenda, thus he had wandered out of his owner's home to find something to occupy him. "Hey Mushu. Are you going to laze away all day in there?"

"..What? Did you say something?" Mushu asked, slithering out of the pocket that remained on his saddle.

"..Nothing." Khan wandered over to a small flowing river, taking a deep sip of the ice cold liquid that remained. "I could always suggest this for a bath." He gave a cheeky smile to Mushu, receiving a "Hmph!" in return.

Bouncing around happily, Chitsa was happy to be out of the teepee. Life has been treating her well and she was enjoying her time with her mate and children. There was always that little thought in her mind that she might have more children but that was something she would have to discuss with Roka. Anyway, Chitsa was a little sad that it wasn't spring yet. Spring was when all of the butterflies and insects came about. They were so fascinating to watch and they definitely kept her occupied since her children were grown up and gone.

Tilting her head, the petite flutter noticed a dark stallion out of the corner of her eye. She also saw the red... thing that climbed out of the stallion's saddle. How curious. Maybe she wouldn't need the butterflies to keep her company today. Chitsa bounced over to Khan and gave him a huge smile. "Hello there!" Her exuberant voice could probably be heard from a distance away. "Who might you two be?" Sometimes her overly cheerful personality scared people away and she never quite understood why others didn't like talking to her.

Surprised by the abrupt voice that had broken the silence, he smiled easily at Chitsa. "Others refer to me as Khan, so I believe that is my name. May I ask of yours? ..and this here is my companion. You can refer to him as Mushu though."

The red ferret could be seen slinking back into the pocket with a yawn. "You'll have to forgive him. I'm afraid that he was up most of the night." .. well. That was a lie, but not a complete lie. The truth being that he had been the cause of Mushu's sleepiness. But no one had need to know, so he kept silent on the matter.

He was more than surprised at the other mare's arrival, he was amused. He hadnt met anyone so lively, so it was a new experience. Enjoyable of course.

But he hadnt failed to notice the wings that resembled a butterfly on her back. But he didnt question it because, well, this land was weird enough. He didnt question anything sat this point. However, it certainly didnt stop him from making a comment. "I believe that you are the most different that I've seen so far."

Watching him with careful eyes, Chitsa judged that he seemed to be safe and alright. You never knew nowadays with so many soquili running about. They could be the prettiest, brightest soquili but have the most evil heart. "It's quite a pleasure Khan. My name is Chitsa." She paused and gazed at the ferret, "And pleasure to meet you too Mushu." Giving a great big smile, Chitsa was enjoying herself because she hadn't met other soquili in awhile after she had her own foals.

"Oh it's alright. I know I would be like that if I was up most of the night." The flutter burst into a frenzy of giggles for really no apparent reason. But when he said that she was the most different he's seen, Chitsa had to pause and tilt her head curiously at the stallion. "Oh? What do you mean by that?" Her eyes went wide as if it was something she didn't quite understand.

"Its also a pleasure to meet." He gave a small bow, before flashing a smile and continuing "I, on the other hand are glad that you are not. Its so much more fun conversing with someone who'll reply rather than someone who falls dead asleep." He snorted, obviously indicating whom was the dead beat around here.

Chuckling at the expression Chitsa held, he clarified "Your the first that I've seen with wings that resemble a butterfly. I've seen those who are horned, those who have wings that resembles a bird, or even both. But I have yet to see your kind. I suppose you could say there's a first for everything?" His sentence trailed off with a questioning lilt.

"But I'm sorry for being vague earlier. I'm afraid that you could call it a habit?" Giving the other mare a chargrined look, he dropped his head down to graze.

After nipping at a few grassblades, he shifted to adjust the saddle gracing his back. "So, what brings you out to these parts?"

Chitsa giggled excitedly and nodded. "There's a soquili that inhabits the same teepee as myself. All he does is sleep, all day. I've hardly gotten to speak with him because he's always just laying underneath a tree outside, taking an 8 hour nap. He's very... strange." Shrugging slightly, Chitsa flashed a huge grin at him. "Oh well, right Khan? Sucks for him." But then what he said about not ever seeing another soquili with butterfly wings caught her attention.

"Really? I've met quite a few acquaintances and friends that also have similar wings as mine. I didn't think they were that uncommon. Maybe you should meet some of my friends and family then." Chitsa chuckled light-heartedly; it was so nice to be meeting new people and Khan seemed especially polite. She was liking him so far. "Oh, no need to apologize silly!"

Chitsa also stopped and took a mouthful of young grass and she pondered his question slightly, "Oh... I really don't know. Just getting away from everybody I live with is nice sometimes. My children are all grown up so I've found a lot of extra time that I really didn't have before..." She paused and her eyes seemed thoughtful while she was thinking about her kids. "But yea, I ramble. How about you? Why are you around here now?"

Laughing at the description of the other stallion, Khan grinned. "Depends on what you prefer. I have others at my teepee also but .." he paused wondering how to describe them. "Its a colorful family. Thats the best I can describe it." Unlike certain members of his family, this mare was nothing but enjoyable. "There is one in particular though, who doesn't take to me. What a shame." He shook his head in mock regret.

Distracted by Chitsa's words of others like her, he asked "Really? Well, its a first for me. I've met winged and horned, but never a butterfly. " He tilted his head pondering her family and friends. One butterfly was enough, he told himself with an amused look.

His eyes widened slightly as she told him she had kids. Hmm. He wouldnt have figured her for a mother, particularly because she didnt look much older than he was. But appearances were deceiving after all.

Finishing up the remains of his grass in a quick swallow, he shrugged. "Deduced odd though. One would say they had more free time before their children was born." He added with a chuckle. "But yes. I wander. Here and there, that sort of thing."

Nodding rapidly, Chitsa knew what he was talking about. There were a lot of soquili that just happened to wander by their teepee, whether they stayed for long or not. They generally were all interesting. "Aw, why wouldn't anybody want to talk to you? They're missing out on a lot." She smiled happily and she knew that even though she had only just met him, he seemed to be genuinely kind. She had a knack for being able to read others pretty accurately. "They'll turn around someday."

The petite mare continued to smile happily, "Of course. There's a first time for everything." When she was younger, Chitsa thought she would never have children either but she was actually an older mare. She had been living around here for quite a long time now and her personality definitely made her seem a lot longer. Chitsa observed his reaction to her comment about her family carefully but shrugged it off. Hopefully he wouldn't judge her or anything because she had her own family. "I guess. Before I had children... I wasted a lot of time that I wish I hadn't wasted. But it's no good to dwell on the past because then I might not be who I am today. That's interesting. Do you have any family?" The flutter tilted her head curiously, eyes wide with curiousity. She always seemed to have questions and never stopped to think if she was being nosy or not.

"I dont know.." He rep[lied with a lazy grin. "Something about me having no morals, a care-free attitude, no regard to the future, and a million of other things. Why, I cant imagine why they dislike me at all." He flashed a amused grin, laughing. "Of course, they are welcome to their own life. Its not like I forced my lifestyle onto them."

Listening to the mare with intent stare, he nodded his head sympathizing with her. "I would do them now, rather than dwell though. After all, if you cant do it the first time, there's a second time. I would cross the line after the 3rd time though.."

"Family..?" Fegning a mock gasp, "Family? Have I heard of that term before..? .. I'm afraid I dont have any that I know of. You? Kids aside, since I believe we've covered that field. " Chitsa asked many questions, but Khan didnt mind it. One could answer easily if they had nothing to hide.
