The black castle stood tall in it's place as the center and heart of the village of Erasade. People walked by cheerfully, going about their lives as usual. But this was just a farce so that the guards wouldn't suspect how unhappy they were with their lives. The king had not shown his face for years... it had been so long none of them remembered what he looked like. Things had been going downhill for such a long time, and it was the King's duty to care for his people. But their king...

†☽ † ქԷ ßΣճქՊՖ †☽† From the shadows of an alleyway, Isaac watched the vendors and citizens pass by. A young girl who had been playing out in the street bumped into a group of rough-looking thugs. She apologized quickly but the three began kicking her, snatching at her hair, and spiting on her poor little body. A woman, presumably her mother, ran out and covered the young girl's body with her own, taking the beating instead. People, though obviously bothered by this barbaric display, went about their business as usual. Isaac, clutching his sword in it's sheath, continued to watch quietly. Though it was disturbing, he had no intention of getting in the way at the moment. He did not want to become 'The Hero of The People'. He wanted to infiltrate the castle, and stop the king... There was rumor that their depraved ruler had a plot to summon the Prince of Darkness. Isaac turned his head to look up at the Castle which sat in the center of the village. It stood tall and menacingly, it's cold and evil aura making Isaac flinch. He scoffed and waited for nightfall, settling back into his place, resuming his depraved viewing of the beating.

Endy also watched the beating. She wasn't affected by it. She snorted and turned away. "It would do you good to help people every so often Endy." Her bat said floating beside her.

†☽ † ქԷ ßΣճქՊՖ †☽† Isaac turned suddenly to see a woman, dressed in white cords standing at the end of the alleyway. There was no lack of skin... plenty of her soft, white flesh was viewable. Her hair was a light frosty blue color, reminding him of the arctic winds. His eyes darted to her neck, but he imagined her blood might taste like ice... "You there..." She hissed, pointing at him. He narrowed his eyes at her. It was a demon... Most people didn't like demons in this town, especially since no one knew how the king had come into contact with hellfire... "What do you want?" He said in a monotone voice. She took a step closer to him. "Stay away from the castle. I have seen your future, and the future of this kingdom." She had appeared hostile at first, but only because of her chilly appearance. Isaac felt that she was not an enemy. "Future?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow. She nodded, silver earrings catching glimmers of light as she moved her elegant form. "What you do not know, Sir Isaac Von Kidner, is that the future is something no one wants to meet with..." "Really?" Isaac replied. He showed little interest in her words, but the fact that she knew his full name bothered him a bit. "There is but one truth... And that truth will be the deciding factor in this battle between good and evil." "A battle between good and evil? That's ridiculous. I refuse to do anything of the sort." Isaac snapped. He became a little more passionate with his words. She smiled at him, mysteriously. "Everything... is a battle. And it is always, fundamentally, good versus evil. There is no denying that single truth." She held out her hand and a golden ball of light formed. Isaac could hear faint voices radiating from it, and glimpses of figures he was unfamiliar with flashed inside it. "...What?" He began, taking a step closer to the woman and the odd orb she supported. "The fate of this world will be decided... There is a darkness surrounding the castle. And it grows stronger every day. There is one who is a hero, a Pillar of Light, who is the only person able to save this kingdom and it's king. There is one who is a Shadow of Destruction, capable of stopping the hero and helping the darkness grow... And there is one who is a traitor, a deceiver, who will change their sides, for good or for evil, at one time or another. These three... determine the fate of the kingdom. But just because one is endowed with the powers of darkness does not mean they have to follow that path. Just because one is given the power to stop the evil, does not mean they are obligated to use it for good... In the end... I fear this kingdom will crumble... But I will tell you this truth; in the end, one of you will die." Isaac stared, dumbfounded, into the woman's eyes. Was she a...? "You speak of 'one of you'. What do you mean by that? Are there others planning on entering the castle?" "There are others, like you, who will do something with their lives. They will break away from habit, and make change occur." Isaac shook his head, still trying to understand. The light in the woman's hand suddenly pulsed, and it shot out in rays towards the sky, and traveled in an arch, seeking out the others who were to 'bring change'. A ray entered Isaac's chest, making him flinch. It did not hurt, but it startled him. "What just happened?" He demanded. The ball of light was gone now... but the woman still remained. "Those who will bring about change... have been touched by the light of the creators. It does not hurt, and may not always be seen while entering the bodies... but it does nothing, other than mark that person's soul." "What have I been marked as?" He questioned. "This is not the deciding factor of Pillars, Shadows, or Traitors... This light is merely a guide and a marking to the gods. Out of the people it touches, three will be chosen as the 'Destined Ones'. In other words... The hero, traitor, and dark one has not been chosen yet."

"Why?" She asked looking at Aiden. "They don't ever help me." "I wonder why...?" The bat asked. Endy sighed heavily and slumped back against the wall. "Aiden...? Did you happen to see a bright flash of light?" She asked. "I don't think so... remember...I'm a bat. I don't have wonderful vision."

†☽ † ქԷ ßΣճქՊՖ †☽† The city drew itself into night, and Isaac set forth from the alleyway he had inhabited during the daylight hours. It wasn't that he was weak against the sun, but more that he just didn't like it. It depressed him. Though Isaac was born a vampire, so it really shouldn't have made him as melancholy as it did, for there were no 'old memories of human life under the sun' which he had to revisit. Passing through the streets in the starlight, Isaac's eyes focused ahead of themselves. Now Isaac was not 'The Dark Avenger' or anything of the sort, but it had displeased him today to see three men beating up on such a young girl, and furthermore the fact that no one helped her or her mother made him grow even more upset. As he rounded the corner he found himself in another alleyway. A woman's shrieks could be heard from within. Isaac approached the scene and was not in the least bit surprised to see the thugs from earlier that day, attempting to rape a young woman. Things like that were common these days, but Isaac... Had lost his human mother to a group of bandits who had robbed, raped, and then killed her. They had attempted to kill Isaac, but his father, who was a rather powerful vampire, had rescued him at the last second. Isaac had only been seven years of age back then... Where his father was now, Isaac had no idea. He did not hate his father, but he had no wish to see him again either. In nature, the parents take care of their young just until they are old enough to head out on their own, and then they abandon them. Isaac's life had been like that. His father had taught him what he needed to know, given him a head start on life with some weapons, a bit of knowledge in the magical arts, and a sack of precious gold, and then he left. Isaac kicked one of the men who had been pinning the woman down. He flew forward and his face stuck in the mud and other grim that littered the streets. The other two men stood up straight, ready to attack. Isaac could already tell that his weapons would not be needed. "What the hell do 'ya want, buddy!?" One rather comely youth growled. His face was plastered with freckles and sundots. Perhaps he was a farmer? Whatever he was, Isaac kicked out at him as well, but the little fellow surprisingly dodged it and rammed himself into Isaac's body. He received a surprised of his own, however, when his body came into contact with Isaac's. It was like hitting a brick wall. "Yer.... Yer not human!!!" The other guy said. The thug in the mud rose from his humiliating pose and flicked out a dagger, pressing it against the young woman's throat. Tears pooled in the corners of her eyes and she whimpered slightly. Isaac caught her eyes for a moment... Those large blue eyes filled with fear, sadness... and something else he couldn't identify. He couldn't just let this girl die. It would bother him for the rest of his immortal life... But he couldn't just back off either. The woman was going to get hurt either way. Isaac took a step forward, trying to prevent the man from harming the girl, but without a seconds haste, the thug slit the poor girl's throat, blood spraying forth from the wound. She writhed for a few moments, gurgling. Isaac slipped out his dagger from the loop on his belt and took care of the thugs quickly. If the wounds he had inflicted upon them didn't kill them, the poison from the dagger would. Isaac slid the dagger back into it's sheath and knelt down beside the mortally wounded woman. She had only seconds to live... Isaac would lie low for a while, until his power returned to him. Since he wasn't currently being hunted, he could afford to use his magic... He bit his finger, causing his own blood to pour out, and drew an upside down cross on the woman's forehead. He muttered something in a foreign tongue, then bent over and kissed the mark. Within seconds the wound closed up around the woman's neck, and the blood around her and on her clothes evaporated. She gasped and placed her hands on her throat, confused as to how she was suddenly unharmed. Isaac licked the blood off his finger and watched as it closed up. He had used up more than half of his energy to heal her wound, and now he had to retreat to the Inn for a while. He stood up, offering his hand to the woman, and then offered her his cloak. She blushed when she realized her dress was torn and her topside was visible. Grateful for Isaac's cloak, she covered herself up. "Thank you... sir." She managed, smiling. Her large blue eyes were stilled filled with sadness, but there was joy in them now. And still... something he could not identify... "Why don't you run? Aren't you afraid of me?" He questioned. She shook her head. "No, of course not. You spared my life... you saved me and used precious magic on me. I could not fear nor hate you sir... um..." "Isaac." He replied, a faint smile crossing his face.

Endy closed her eyes slightly annoyed. "You need to get some glasses." She mumbled to him, suddenly a shadow appeared in front of her, she looked up to see a man in his 30's, probably a drunk one. She wasted no time and whipped out a dagger, she kicked the man in the chest with her foot knocking him into a wall. She then threw the dagger at him from across the street and hit him just below the heart. "I wouldn't try that with me." She growled glaring at the man, she then turned and began walking the other way. Normally she would have killed someone who tried anything like that...but today just wasn't one of those days.

†☽ † ქԷ ßΣճქՊՖ †☽† Isaac wondered about the streets in the darkness. Having replenished his energy with the young woman's blood, he was now restless. He sighed wondering how he was going to be able to make a difference. He was going to get into the castle eventually, but he needed more power... He stopped walking as he saw a strange looking woman walking about with a ... bat? He wondered what she was doing out here. It was nearly dawn and most people were asleep or just waking up by now. "Hey, you." He called quietly. He had no idea if she had heard him or not. He didn't want to wake the villagers... So he wasn't going to shout any louder.

Green eyes fluttered lazily, small body lost amongst the darkness of the forest. There she sat, slumped up against a tree among the outskirts of the town. The lights were dimmer there, the darkness hiding her without much effort. The girl wasn’t wanted, but she preferred sleeping in dangerous forests; people didn’t notice; people didn’t comment. Smooth black hair shadowed her pale face, long bangs covering her left eye almost completely. Mouth stretching wide, Allusian reached her slim arms into the air, tensing her legs. It was cold; and all she was wearing was a simple skirt with big boots. Questioning her sanity for about a half a second, Allusian jumped up into the air and pulled her mini cape close to her. With her low income, it was about all she could afford. Nonetheless, it was alright. Rather than becoming famous for her work, Allusian was completely satisfied with just barely making it out alive.
She scratched her head, turning it right and left; watching for movement from the paved road not far ahead. It was nighttime; the city streets were not as busy, which was always easier. Just recently, Allusian had received a job proposal; one she had to admit wasn’t as bad as her previous one’s. The man had no family; no one that would miss him. Death was still a harsh punishment, but his crime had been just as bad. Ignoring her thoughts with a brush of her hair, Allusian discreetly stepped out into the dim streetlights. Covering her head with the hood of her mantle, she scratched her chin, eyes darting about, looking for the bar.
It was strange. The crumbling buildings looked eerily familiar; it held a rather…story book feeling; it was indescribable. People of all sorts were here; yet just as usual, Allusian found herself the shortest of them all. A small number of children watched her hunched figure from the front doors of shops, eyes glued to her small frame. Their thoughts were unanimous, Allusian didn’t even have to guess. Her clothing was strange; it was an extremely cold night, her eyes seemed to glow under the streetlights, and the girl looked about the age of ten years old. Shrugging off stupid ideas, Allusian smiled randomly at a passerby, who shot her a strange look.
Now, where was that bar?

(( It's not bad... don't worry. XD Your posts are fine. )) †☽ † ქԷ ßΣճქՊՖ †☽† Isaac paused seeing the young girl wearing the strange garb. She seemed to be searching for something. Where on Earth was this young woman from? She appeared no older than her mid teens, possibly late teens, and had strange colored eyes that seemed to glimmer in the darkness of the village streets. She gave off a vibe that suggested she enjoyed keeping mostly to herself. He had never before encountered someone with such peculiar properties. Curiosity getting the best of him, Isaac decided to trail her throughout the streets until he was satisfied.

Completely oblivious to the man behind her, Allusian continued to search here and there, stumbling upon abandoned homes, buildings. More than once she had been approached, but as if she gave off some strange aura, they all backed away cautiously. Raising her eyebrows repeatedly when viewing the huge castle, she couldn’t get it out of her head; how big, and how much the large building stood out. It was ugly, and it didn’t fit into the scenery. In disapproval, Allusian stopped suddenly, and placed her hands on hips.
Murmuring quietly to herself, she whispered, “That thing is hideous. The architecture is so unoriginal, and dark and depressing.”
Groaning angrily, Allusian took off once again, this time having better luck than before; she had, in fact, stopped just in front of the place. With happiness in her surprise, she took a turn to the right, and stepped gleefully into the morbid bar of mercenaries. Welcomed by looks of, ‘what the hell?’, Allusian smiled back, and walked up to the bartender, requesting the man’s picture.
“Yup! This is him…he’s in this town? Mmmm…okay.”

†☽ † ქԷ ßΣճქՊՖ †☽† Isaac chuckled quietly as she put her hands on her hips and declared that the castle was tacky. He was far enough behind her that she wouldn't be able to hear him... hopefully. He followed her to the bar where she began asking questions as if she were searching for someone. It dawned on him that she might be a bounty hunter, but at her age? He dismissed the thought quickly, settling on the idea that she was only a young girl searching for a lost relative. But in the back of his mind, something nagged at him. He seemed to want to think she was more innocent than she really was.

Looking at the picture over and over, memorizing the facial details; his style of clothing- Everything became embedded in her mind. She sighed sadly at the thoughts of how to kill him. This was not, and had never been, a job she had wanted. However for some ridiculous reason, Allusian couldn’t stop.
”Ya gonna be okay, girlie?” The bartender asked, eyebrow raised with curiosity.. Allusian smiled sadly back, and the man shrugged. Turning around, she leaned against the top of the counter, eyes watching the room without much amusement. These were all gruff men; old, big, dirty, scarred with menacing battles. Here and there were some women, but they were all tall and beautiful. As to how they fought their battles, Allusian didn’t care to know. Of course their height, however, didn’t bother them. Oh no. Of cooourse it didn’t. Passing a heavy sigh, Allusian turned back around and faced the man.
“I’ll have it done in a day or so – how much?” The man snickered at her question, almost laughed.
”Couple hundred. I’ve got to admit; I kinda like you. Come back alive!” Practically glaring at the man, Allusian pouted as she stepped out the door – accidentally bumping into another man; this time with spellbindingly dark eyes.
“Oh! Whoops, sorry about that.” Tipping her head in apology, she smiled at him as she walked past. Now looking at the town in a whole different view, Allusian traveled throughout the village, not once pulling out the picture for reference. Everything was either black, or white. Buildings, children, the sky, the pavement, water, greenery, food; everything was black, with only men in black. This hunt would be easier that her last, but still challenging. In truth, the picture had said that the man was bald, with beginning sprouts of a beard; A wig or a knife could easily hide those. But his facial features would be irreplaceable. A weighted chin; the man was older that most. Wrinkles of laughter on cheeks, many ridges on his forehead. Probably in his late fifties. From his clothing, he appeared to be a merchant, but from her last tip in the pervious town, he was most definitely a merchant. Multiple times, people had stolen his rich, fine, silks, which lead to each and every one of their deaths. By now, the man must have been filthy rich with all of their money collected. His merciless ways of killing were sickening; not much guilt would remain. Thoughts suddenly coming to an abrupt halt, a person in her view returned to color. A weak smile twinged at her lips as Allusian approached the man.
“Hello! What fine silks you have here sir…”
