((I'm just gonna make this an ORP in case anyone else feels like dropping by.))

The club the group had recently decided to dub 'Majik' was now in it's 'trial run' phases. Turns out between Ashley, Solo and Eliot the band had enough connections to get things done at the right price and fast.

Sunny, of course, had no noteworthy connections whatsoever.

Because Harper would simply not HAVE the grand pre-beta-test-semi-opening commence without his presence, the adults improvised, inviting only a dozen or so of their friends, mostly people who had helped build the place, and Harper and some of his friends from the patch. They'd become quite the social busy bodies, really, knowing or at least hearing second hand of most anyone, so getting the 'word' out was fairly easy stuff. With the exception of a gray haired older sister who will not be mentioned and a black haired teen boy groveling her in the corner, Harper was the only child there for the moment.

He'd designed the playlist blaring out through the sound systems. The song playing for the moment made him want to dance, but there was nobody to dance with. Adults would only go on and on about how 'cute' he was if he danced with one of Eliot's friends and his mother was busy. He watched the entrance pathetically, to cut it short, swaying from foot to food to the beat.

If there was a party or a club Rye was bound to find it. One would think, having adopted a child, she'd mellow out a bit, or at least get a babysitter like a responsible adult. But "responsible" had never been in her vocabulary and when she had picked up rumors of a new club, well, she had been drawn to it like a moth to a flame dragging her poor little butterfly, Sophia, with her.

Rye glided through the door, an expert at moving in heels, tight skirts, and revealing tops it seemed. Her charge, however, was not having as much luck. She dragged her feet after her mother, mainly because she was afraid of tripping over her hair or misstepping in her shoes. She looked around tentatively at all the people and found herself bumping into her mother's leg by accident.

"Now, Sophie dear, Mommy's going to go get a drink," Rye smiled, bending down and giving the little girl a kiss on the forhead before sliding off to find something to satisfy her thirst, her wavy locks bouncing slightly as she moved.

Sophia stood where she was, her hands held together before her in overly long sleaves. All these adults around...it was a bit scary.

After hearing word of it from her 'resources', a.k.a. Matthias, Anastasia had decided to check out a new club..... "Majik", was it? She couldn't remember what he'd told her.....heck, she'd barely remembered where he said it was. By shear luck, she'd found herself in the right place. Today, whe wore her favorite black t-shirt with the tribal heart printed on the front and her usual black jeans. Her little mint-scented cabbage was sitting in a green frontal baby carrier, hanging infront of her. As usual, her mass of curly hair remained untamed....typical.

The "teen" walked in, smiling at the music. *I like this place already....* she thought, looking around. She saw a little white-haired girl standing in the room, looking rather scared. She smiled, waving a little, before continueing to look around. "Nice place, huh Veg?" she murmered, talking to her cabbage.

Irelia could hear the beat of the bass moving under her hoofs and she swayed to the beat as Asher tried to explain that they were invited. The guy at the front, who told Irelia that he was a bouncer, not just a guy.

Asher finally found his name on the list, but listed under "Fruity white-haired-guy,"

Scowling, Asher dragged Irelia inside. Asher thought the kid had made the list, but he wouldn't put it past the adults involved with Harper not to make fun of him as well.

In a bad mood, Asher dropped Irelia's hand, and sat at the bar, ordering a scotch on the rocks. It was going to be a long night.

Irelia was very happy to be invited to such a "high class" thing as a club opening. She knew she was too young to be allowed in for any other reason until she was older so she had taken great care in choosing her clothing.

Dressed in a short brown skirt, a gold and brown metallic corset and black lace everywhere, Irelia pulled off looking older than she usually did. Though she was still short, so she pretty much only looked like a little tramp.

Asher wasn't especially happy with her look but she had whined so much that he threw up his hands in despair. Besides she was a kid, and Asher was there, and there wasn't anyone who could take advantage of her.

Spotting Harper, she grinned. Instead of her usual rush, Irelia sauntered over to where Harper was standing.

Harper spotted Sophie first, even as some of his 'groupies' or possible soon-to-be groupies hobbled in. Better than nothing, besides, her hair colour was simply gorgeous.

He'd sprinted over, waving at Rye and unceremoniously moving to scoop Sophie up. "Hey there!" He chirped happily, grinning at her. "Care to dance?"

Then he noticed Irelia, and for once, didn't openly cringe. Though he might have just a little inwardly. "Hey Irelia, you showed up huh? Hey, your dad didnt read the.. .. nevermind." He faked a cough.

He gave the cabbage that had just rolled in a look and blinked. "Guess I really did invite everyone. Welcome to the club lady, coolest kids around and we don't even need to be watered regularly." He said, giving a salute to the halfling 'teen.'

Meanwhile, spotting Asher sitting off and a person Ashley'd never bothered to notice or learn a thing about before, the woman walked over to him. In a good mood it would seem (she usually at least appeared to be in a good mood when her career or image was involved), she tapped the man on his back and placed a fingerless black leather gloved hand on her hip. For all the 'trampness' Irelia was worth, she didn't yet have all Ashley had to work with, and if he thought his daughter was bad, the woman standing behind in little more than a black bra top and see through outer 'sweater', top of the thigh short mini skirt and knee high heels would be worse. "Hey there sexy."

Spotting Ashley's display, Eliot nudged Soloman (who was looking relatively normal for once, as he'd had his mohawk buzzed down to merely two inches and was wearing silver instead of some pastel abomination) and pointed her out.

They burst in to unmanly giggles at the same time.

That's when Rye crossed by, and presuming far too much he was still the all forgiven rockstar he used to be, Eliot moved to grab her arm, "Heeeey!"

Tas, meanwhile, who had gotten absolutely nowhere with Noire (and now had a paineded groin but was trying his hardest to act like 'it didn't hurt') walked over toward the kids for a good laugh. The little white haired boy was annoying, he thought, thinking to himself he was NEVER like that and would NEVER spend time with a kid like that EVER.

Sophie squeaked in surprise as she was snatched by some strange kid. Her lavender eyes were wide for a moment and then they fell to a dull, confused look. She hesitated and then mumbled, "Not 'posed to talk to strangers." The tv said that, when she watched those very "child appropriate" shows. What did that mean for dancing though? "Not...dance with strangers...?" she suggested, as if he could clear it up for her since, he was older after all. Older people knew all the rules.

Rye stopped as she felt fingers around her arm. She turned only her head and tilted her shoulders slightly, looking back at Eliot with a smile, "Well, couldn't even let a lady get a drink first?" Her tone was light, obviously not that of a woman who was offended or at all unamused by being pulled aside.

"Glad to be here." Stasia said, grinning and giving the totally-wicked-awsome-looking kid a salute in return. "And that's pretty easy to see..." She readjusted the cabbage, then looked over at the other child that had walked in. She couldn't help but frown a little; why would a little girl come dressed like that? When she was a child, back in her day...

The girl chuckled. She shouldn't think like that....it made her sound old. She looked over at the adults in the room, merely taking notice of them. She thought about dancing, but stopped herself. She was NOT going to make a fool of herself infront of new people. She was a singer, definately not a dancer. She tucked her hair behind one of her pointed ears, heading towards the bar. Hopefully, they served juice or something, since she appeared to be underage. Besides, sitting down would give her a chance to water "Veg", as she dubbed the leafy vegetable she was carrying around.

She blinked as she heard a squeak, looking over her shoulder. She smiled, giggling at the little girl's reaction. "What a little sweetheart...." she murmered to herself before continueing onward, taking a seat at the bar. She pulled a squirt bottle out from the side of the carrier, spraying her cabbage with the usual minty-scented water. After all, it wouldn't be fair if she got herself a drink without giving him/her/it one, would it?

After ordering a glass of orange juice, she smiled, sitting there and enjoying her drink. "Mmm.....Vitamin C...." she said softly to the thin air around her. She then looked at the cabbage. "When you get a bit older, you'll love the stuff, too, I'm sure." she said softly to it, ruffling its leaves.

Harper shrugged, "Uh, well, I guess I am sorta a stranger but... well, you're a cabbage kid, right? So we are practically family! See? I am too! Besides, your momma's right over there." He gave the child a nod and turned, only sparing the halfling another look. "Ya sure like talking to it, don't you?" He shook his head and took the baby in to the dance area.

The hip-hopish rap song still playing offered an easy, mellow dance. Bopping around with the little girl, this was about as peaceful and serene Harper'd ever appear to be to anyone, ever. He was doing his best to try to make the baby laugh at the same time, making faces, bouncing her around.

Eliot grinned widely. "Sure thing." He said, letting her arm go, instead offering her his to 'escourt' her over to the bar. Solo shook his head, "Always forgettin about me like that, I hear my heart breakin."

"Who are you here with?" Eliot asked, looking over his shoulder. "You aint one of the moms are you?" He frowned. It'd only FIGURE if she was.

So, Soloman decided to go stalk the short 'young' girl that had come in, deciding to play faux-narc. "Hey! Who let you in, now?!" The extraordinarily tall man barked at Stasia, though the grin that cracked over his face a moment later betrayed that he was joking. "Hows it goin? Hey, you uhm, how old are you?" He asked, finding after all that, he was rather curious. And he wasn't the type to beat around the bush in the first place.

Asher smiled vaguely at the blatant come-on, and waved her over, as if all women approached him like Ashley did.

Asher recognized her, vaguely, from an oft-chance encounter at the grocery store, usually when Asher was slumming around with a hat on. Asher knew he was relatively good looking, but knew that most people we drawn to his silky hair, which was naturally white, and not faded with age.

"Good evening, madam. I am Asher," Asher tilted his head down, bowing with his eyes, "and I am pleased to make your acquaintance. I would like some company, if you desire to chat, but if your desires run more to a carnal nature, you best be off then."

Asher dropped his effected english, and drank the rest of his scotch.

"I don't swing that way."

Irelia sat on the fence that surrounded the dance floor, and watched Harper dance with the new baby. Irelia wasn't jealous, she was a baby, but she was content to watch them. Smiling to herself, Irelia stretched, and jumped off her seat. She was restless, and wanted to dance.

Stasia looked back at Harper, grinning and nodding. "Yep!" she responded cheerfully before returning her attention to the leafy ball that sat in the baby carrier. Indeed, she really liked talking to her cabbage...she didn't have to worry about it talking back or anything of the sort. It just sat there and listened politely, never interrupting her, never correcting her, never insulting....

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a rather loud bark in her direction. She blinked and looked up, wondering what that kind of tone was for. "I let me in...." she said softly, a hint of defensiveness in her voice. She almost sighed in relief when he grinned, which broke the tension she had started to feel. "It's going alright; yourself?" she answered, returning his grin with one of her own. The smile widened as she chuckled once. "Well, lets just say I'm a bit older than I look....and anyways, it's rather impolite to ask a person how old they are." she added, avoiding a direct answer. She giggled once; a bit older? That was a bit of a white lie, but....

Stasia shrugged the thought off. "My name's Anastasia, though most people call me Stasia. And we call the cabbage here Veg, since he-she-its a vegetable at the moment." she said politely, smiling as she introduced herself to Mr-Obscenely-Tall-Dude, as she had silently dubbed him. "May I ask who you are?"

Long before Asher told her of his 'orientation' Ashley had quite intelligently deduced the 'white haired cute guy' wasn't the owner of a large production company looking for new musicians. She looked over and caught Eliot pass her a grin that sent an irritated crick down her spine, reminding her to get revenge later, before looking back to Asher with a very deep, unamused glare. "Ah ha." She said blankly, sitting down, crossing her legs. "How unfortunate... for you. Of course you wouldn't be the first man to say something to that affect to me, only to change his 'mind' later." She smirked, and shook her head, "Why are you here, then? This definitely isn't a gay bar, and I don't know you, so one of the little children belongs to you...?" She asked, scanning over the club.

Tas, meanwhile, haden't given up again. The pain subsided, his ego replenished (much like a troll regenerates his health within moments and can only be killed by fire and/or acid, other suchs resemblances could be made...) he had quite literally pulled Noire on to the dance floor.

She'd had enough. Conjuring up a black ball of dimensional displacement which spelled d.o.o.m. for such contacts, throwing it at the same oh so sensitive portion of the male teen's body, and then stomping off, Tas gulped in a deep and very confused breath, crouched down, and tried to regain his manhood. It just so happened the display was right next to the dancing goat girl, and when finally he looked up, he faked the worst fake smile he'd ever faked at her and held up his hand, "Ack, I, ah-HEM, water, please-"

"sorry, no go. All you womenfolk scare me witless," Asher said, ordering another drink, "Mine's the trampy sheep over there, dancing. She wouldn't leave the house until she was adequately dressed, or undressed. Though she has nothing on your party wear, of which i am thankful."

"yours is either the cabbage or one of the white haired children."

Asher gestured with his scotch glass, not losing a drop. Asher loved scotch and couldn't bear to see even a drop go to waste.

Irelia hadn't noticed the teen beside her and blushed wildly when she felt his eyes on her. Though she usually would tell anyone else to get it themselves, she thought the boy was in genuine pain, having missed Noire's antics.

Irelia went to the bar, and fetched some water, and handed it to the boy.

"So... who the hell are you?"

Irelia was trying to learn to cuss, but the only word she could get out without it sounding forced was hell, which is not a bad word in itself but not as colourful as some of the others.

Family? Were they really? That would be ok then but...she stumbled along with Harper, trying to keep up with him as he dragged her around he dance floor. It was harder then it looked. The little girl often felt her foot go town and immediately her hair was tugged, since she had stepped on one of the long pigtails. And Harper's faces...well, they were confusing her more then anything else. Had he actually stopped those she might have got distracted by the twirling and the music but...his faces were so weird. And rather then laughing at them she made a confused face, perhaps thinking he was sick or there was something wrong with him entirely, "Um..."

Rye took Eliot's arm smoothly, not even passing a glance at the children. She was having fun, she just assumed they were too. "That seems a strange question to ask when you're looking for company, does it usually work?" she asked, amused, not even answering the question at all.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 30, 2007 2:50 pm

Harper frowned at the little girl when no smile came. She briefly reminded him of Antony for some reason beyond his ability to register. "Ya'don't smile much, do you, dudette?" He asked, kneeling down to get on eye level. "So whats up? Still think I'm a stranger?"

"Ain't tryin to make anything work yet, I wanna know what mess you're in is all." Eliot snorted, looking over his shoulder at Harper. "Cause it's definitely a big one if one of those cabbage kids belongs to you."

Ashley snorted, "I do hope you don't honestly believe I care whether or not you are scared. This is my bar, my club, and I'll go or stay where I like. You've had quite enough if you think you can tell me when to go." She shook her head and gave Irelia a glance, "Isn't quite proper for a girl her age, is it? Or can you not tell when a girl is dressing inappropriately?" She gave him an accusing glance, as though she were one to talk, only to look back to Irelia again. "Hm. Actually, I have seen her around before."

By the time Irelia'd come back Tas was standing up straight again, but he took the water with a gracious smile and a 'cheers' gesture before downing it. His eyebrows rose at the 'hell' coming from the child, though he hardly seemed offended. "Tas. Good enough for you, little miss? Who are you, now?"

Soloman shook his head at her, "It ain't impolite, yaknow, it's just askin for a bit of honesty. Ain't like you can hide it for serious, and if you're tryin to hide you're age it just makes you look older.. or younger. C'mon, now, tell me!" He begged in a playful way, then glanced at the cabbage and grinned. "I know how that is, my little baby was a cabbage just yesterday it feels like! He liked to play videogames in the cabbage. Ya'ever expose your cabbage here to proper video entertainment and music? Cruel if you dont!" He instructed with an authoritative nod, but very 'this is important' glance.

Stasia just chuckled, shaking her head. "Fine. I'll tell you how old I am if you tell me how old you are and your name." she said, sounding rather amused for some reason. She looked down at her cabbage momentarily, then back up at Soloman. "Of course I do. The little tyke is right next to me when I'm playing our PS2 and when I watch movies. And the little veggie has been exposed to music, since we constantly have it playing over at my house." she said, grinning. "So, which kiddo is yours?" she asked, looking over at all the little rugrats out on the dancefloor. *So cute....* she couldn't help but thing, her smile growing a bit.
