You're playing as team rocket trainees.
Start when you're character arrives at the academy.
If you've ever seen the team rocket episode of Poke'mon, then you'll already know what they do there, but basically they pick teams, and exercise, go on practice missions, that sort of stuff.

*walks into Academy* Can't wait to get to the training grounds. Hope I got someone tough to fight me. I could use the training. *Walks off onto the field and waits for challenger*

"I'm guessing we go train. I haven't seen anyone around to help us out."A silvernette decided to speak up. " Vaporeon's getting ancy, she doesn't like just sitting around." She looked at the people in the room with her, not recognizing any of their faces. When no one talked back, she looked at her pokemon, vaporeon. " When I was recruited, I thought they wanted to train me, not drive me crazy with boredom." The vaporeon seemed to agree.
She left, heading for the training grounds. Seeing someone, her spirits lifted. "Hi, um... you're here to train right?"

The training grounds were huge, with 2 different fields for battling.
Amy was so amazed she couldn't even speak. She started over towards the instructor. He was busy reading a book at the moment.
"Um...I-"
"Second stage podium one." he replied without even looking at her.
"Th-thanks..." she replied wearily.
In the middle of the field there was a huge rocket symbol, and the judge was waiting for the contestants.
Amy stepped up to the podium. This was it. The big test for all the galactic grunts.
"If I win this... Maybe I'll be able to go on a mission!" She thought. This idea had her shaking with excitement.
Getting promoted was what every rocket grunt hoped for!
Amy's opponent hadn't arrived yet, so she decided to choose her pokemon.
"I should probably send out Dustox..." She muttered to herself.
The small crowd of grunts waiting for their turns looked very bored.
"My opponent better hurry!" She thought.

Being ignored, The silvernette rolled her eyes. "Brat." She muttered under her breath. She searched for anyone that looked helpful. People seemed to be swarming around faster now. "There must be a battle starting." She went in the same direction they were going in. " Someone can help me out there. And who knows? A battle may be entertaining." She scurried along with the crowd trying to keep up. When she reached the battle field, she was shocked at the size and gaped, freezing up.
Not a good idea. She was bumped into, and knocked over. " Hey, you're a grunt right?"
She answered " Yeah, I am. You have something for me to do?"
He grinned, mischivous glint in his eye. " Sure do kid. Your gonna have your first battle." He chuckled, pointing in the direction of the path to the side of the battle field not taken by anyone.
Ayame was nervous, but entralled. "Maybe this place isn't too bad afterall." She found herself at the empty side of the arena. 'Now Aquarious, we show our true colors' She ordered her pokemon, Aquarious, a level 39 vaporeon to stand beside her.

Just then, a young girl stepped up to the other podium, and ssent out her vaporeon.
"Oh no! My Dustox is weak against water...unless..." she thought.
"Okay, Go Glameow!" She yelled trying to sound confident, but she was shaking all over.
The Glameow was shocked, but finally realized what was going on, and prepared itself for battle.
Glameow was only a level 29, but it would have to do.
Amy glanced over at the small audience of grunts. Some where whispering and pointing at her.
Being a rookie always made her feel weak.
"That's it! I'm gonna win this time, she said a bit too loud. Sond grunts in the audience where laughing. Amy just stuck her tongue out at them..
Finally the Judge sighed and said: "Ready your pokemon, get set, Begin!"

"Alright Aquarious! Let's start out strong! Arurora Beam!" The silvernette commanded her pokemon.
The vaporeon gathered energy and shot a shimmering beam of ice at it's opponent.

Glameow half dodged, half didn't, and ended up being blown backwards.
"Don't give up! Use Shadow claw!" Amy yelled trying to get the Glameow's confidence back.
Glameow's paw started glowing white, and then purple. Her claws then started extending. She raced forward, and threw herself at the Vaporeon, paw outstretched, and ready to hit.

Though Aquarious was strong, the vaporeon wasn't very fast. Not being able to compete with the glameow's speed, it ended up being hit with the attack.
"Don't give up now! Keep going!" The silvernette ordered her vaporeon to remain standing. Shaking itself off after the blow to it's head, Aquarious focused in on its opponent. "Water gun!" After recieving it's orders the vaporeon shot a torrent of water at glameow.

Glameow's Shadow Claw hadn't worn off yet.
"Glameow! Hit it away with your claws!" Yelled Amy. It was risky, but it might work.
And it did...Sort of. She hit it back at the Vaporeon, but it kept coming.
Glameow was knocpked backward. The only thing that the shadow claw had done was hit some water back at the Vaporeon!

Amy had to do something!
"Glameow! Use faint attack!"
Just then the Glameow seemed to fade away, and dissapear.
A few moments later, she yelled: "Shadow claw!"
The Glameow reappeared behind the Vaporeon in the air, ready to strike!

Aquarious was confused. The vaporeon didn't see the shadow claw coming from behind it.
"Behind you!" she warned her vaporeon. The vaporeon spun around, but was still hit. Though it wasn't as critical as it would have been if it hit straight into it's back, it still took some damage.
'This isn't good, Aquarious is taking alot of hits... I hate using this move.' She looked at vaporeon once again shaking off and focusing in on glameow. 'I don't have a choice.' The silvernette yelled her next order. "Alright Aquarious... you know what to do."
The vaporeon's eyes watered up, looking pathetic. The crowd laughed. Aquarious was crying!
