In a fighting game if you hit someone and end up stoping their combo, it's a combo breaker. Some games have speical moves that are made to break combos. In Naruto 3 for the Gamecube, every character has a combo break move that can be executed by pressing back + B. The move cancles out a certain number of moves, then is followed by an attack. I don't have a video of an example though, sorry. whee
