::Dream...Reality:::
It almost seems to be an endless abyss, stretching out to infinity to either side. The surrounding darkness swirls with an occasional whorl of color, dark purple or blue, or by chance a combination of both. The same color continuation appears should you look above, although the colors are more frequent, and could almost be said to resemble the patterns created when one is underwater looking at the surface above.
You find yourself standing on a surface that is remniscent of stained glass, although the picture itself is difficult to see because of the size of it and of your proximity. It appears to feature several scenes from Avryn, including the barracks, cliffs, and plains, along with a few of the major cities. Strangely enough, you can see the glass perfectly well despite your dark surroundings.
A childlike giggle echoes from behind you. A strange person hovers over the center of the stained glass platform smiling at you. They don't appear to be wearing any clothing, other than an odd offwhite sash that hovers around their body from their shoulders all the way down past their toes, almost touching the floor. Their entire body glows with a white light, including their shock of white hair, which falls down to their waist. Their eyes shimmer, changing colors from green to blue every few seconds, and sparkle with a mischievous light.
Even though they appear to be a child of about ten years old, there is something decidedly strange about this person...
"Welcome," they whisper, their voice taking on echoey tones.

Tae groaned as he sat up. Apparently he always woke up in dreams somehow on his back.. And this dream was stranger than most. His eyes widened as he looked around at the rainbow swirls.
"... Momma would LOVE this place..." he muttered before rubbing at his eyes with his fists. What was going on here? He turned his eyes left and right, then upward. There was someone else there?
Where was Xi Xi? He couldn't sense her or hear her, either! He whined slightly, in every dream she was normally right there with him, so this was fairly new and fairly disturbing to him. He rubbed at his arms before standing up and hearing the being speak.
"... Uhm.. Thank you...?" she was n-naked? He felt a flush errupt across his face and he turned his back to her so he didn't look at her straight in the face.
That's it. No more Love Hina anime before bedtime if he was going to imagine pretty naked people.

The child blinked in surprise. Now this was a new reaction.
"Are you alright?" they ask, concerned, examining the Zahdl.

Tae suddenly tensed, sitting up straight and his tail bristling out. He kept his head turned away, though the flush was still there. She was so close!
And she was so pretty! Is this what teenagers went through? Random dreams of almost naked people with long hair and pretty blue eyes and -- HOSHITTAEWHATSWRONGWITHYOU!?
He flushed darkly at his thoughts and shook his head, "... D-do I know you?" he fidgeted awkwardly, trying to figure out what was going on, "Or... Someone I'm going to meet?"
Maybe it was some kind of precognition type thing...?

The spirit smiled, realizing that Tae was blushing because he was embarassed. Oh dear!
They couldn't help but giggle.
"We've never met before, Tae," they said, smiling. "I'm communicating with you through your dreams. I hope you don't mind, I just wished to meet you."
The glided downward into a sitting position, until they were only a few inches above the ground.
"Are you enjoying the holidays so far?"

Tae heard her/it giggle at him and he felt the flush darken. He was acting like a little kid...
He turned his eyes toward them finally, flush dying down slowly, "Meet me...?"
He tilted his head slightly as he watched her, "Why would you want to meet me?"
He was curious now, and seeing the spirit sitting down, he felt he should, too, and he did. He fidgeted awkwardly, letting his hands rest on his knees and waiting for a response.
"Yes! Actually, I'm enjoying it a lot! Momma's getting a Wii so I get to fling my arms around and play video games without hurting anyone or myself!" he beamed suddenly, eyes falling closed as he rocked back a bit, holding onto his heels.

"I suppose you can call it a personal indulgence," they reply thoughtfully. "It becomes lonely sometimes, so it is nice to visit with others."
"Ah, that's correct!" the spirit says, clapping their hands together. "Your 'mother' is allowing you to travel between Avryn and one of the modern worlds, correct? I think it wonderful that you're having so many interesting experiences."
"So, what has been the most interesting place you've visited thus far?" they ask, more curious than anything else.

"Oh oh! My favorite place was Orem, Utah! The snow was past my knees! I actually sat down and Mommy couldn't find me at all!" Tae grinned devilishly, wiggling happily in his seat before rocking back, "There are so many places outside of Avryn... Her grandparents were really nice, too! She's got this really fat cat that's really fun to play with. She's like a rolly polly ball!"
He giggled a bit, but leaned forward, "An indulgence...?" he tilted his head to the side.
"So you visit everyone, then?"

"A cat, hmmm..." the spirit looks down thoughtfully for a moment, then smiles at him.
"There are many wonderful people in the different worlds that you can meet. I am glad you got the chance!"
"I do like to meet with everyone sooner or later," they nod as they reply. "Usually it is only possible during an individual's power fluctuations, due to my current state. But, that is unimportant."
They smile mischievously.
"I have heard that there is going to be a party at the barracks. I'm certain you'd rather be there than stuck in a dream with me, no?"

"She's missing a tooth in the front and her otherh angs out of her mouth like a saber tooth!" Tae snickered, "She's so silly. You could pick her up by her tail and she wouldn't even care."
He leaned in, shaking his head before turning to face her. He was a bit confused about what she meant 'when power flucuates'. His was? Well, he did catch the house on fire the other day. Luckily, it was only part of the Christmas tree, so the house itself was safe for now, "You mean when we can't control our powers?" he tilted his head to the side.
"Party? OH! Oh, the Bonfire... Not really... I don't know a lot of the other Zadhl, and the ones I did got so much bigger than me... I guess I just kinda feel left out.. I'm so small," he lowered his eyes, tail drooping down to the floor and swaying slightly.

"Oh, really?" The child grins, imagining such an animal. They wondered if they should not acquire some creature of their own for company in between Zahdl visits.
"No, it is more like power changing than going out of control. Actually the event I am speaking of does have to do with size too. I don't believe that you'll have to worry about that issue much longer," the child says, laughing softly. "But I'm sure you'll see what I mean when you awaken."
"And if it makes you feel any better, there a quite a few young Zahdl who have recently come into the world," they remark, thinking of the younglings that Shion was taking care of while trying to find them new guardians.
"Ah, I believe that you are waking up now," they say as the world begins to fade away.

"She's really sweat.. I think you would like her, uh... Uhm.." Tae pouted slightly in thought, "What's your name?"
He wouldn't receive an answer, however, as the world around him began to fade. He flailed his arms as he stood, though the world literally cracked below him, giving way under his weight,"Waking up? SO that's it? Will I ever see you again??" he he reached out toward the spirit, but it was too late, the being was almost completely invisable at this point, and he had fallen too far...
"What did she mean when I wake up? I don't understand!" and with that his eyes slid open and he stared at the ceiling...

"My name?" the child replies, smiling sadly. "At this point in time, I am not allowed to say."
"I promise that we shall meet again. My heart wishes it, and so it shall be."
"Good luck!"
And the world fades to...the real world.
