I was wondering if anyone knows of any good Bento box recipes, I have looekd everywhere but found squat >.< My reason is I am doing this for my friend, she adores them so much, her birthday is coming up and I want to be prepared. If you have any recipes please post them!

Well, a bento box is generally just a sack lunch, only, Japanese style. They usually will include a meat dish, vegetables, rice, and maybe a little something else. It depends on what kind of bento you want to make. I've seen bentos made into dessert style. They had pineapple, cherries, marshmallows, candy hearts, and some kind of a custard. I'd suggest just googling the word "bento" and looking at what kind of pictures pop up. Just come up with an idea of how many side dishes you can fit in the bento. Find out what kind of food your friend really likes, then, just put it all together in a cute little fashion inside the bento box. Hope her birthday is a happy one!

I know that it is like a boxed lunch, only Japanese. The food varies by what's available, try some sushi or california rolls with a couple other things.
