And now from someone who's more than likely actually done the fight...
Have only people who have a lot of health go in. Hunters, warlocks, rogues, and warriors are ideal. Power word shield is awesome here. Remember to have healers DPS in phase one since you get your mana back anyways. If you are having issues with your players going splat on the enrage, you can kite it with a rogue using sprint during enrage. Remember to be outside of his hitbox when you are low on health and as soon as you get fixate, stand and take it, don't move as that may cause issues with people around you who do not want to get it, getting fixated for the next.
Shield wall can also be blown on enrages, as you shouldn't need it for any other portion of the fight.
As a DPS benchmark, you should only be taking two enrages maximum before killing him.
Good luck.

He fixates on the player standing closest to the center of his hitbox, so make sure you always have someone with full health there to take it.
We used a rogue with evasion when we got the enrages or a tank with shield wall, but having a rogue kite is a nice idea as well.

Having your tanks equipped with some gladiator gear is a good idea, the extra stam really helps.
(obviously not the warriors, but the rogues/hunters/paladins/shamans

Yeah, obviously you don't have them in full Glad gear, but one or two pieces can make a fair survivability difference without killing too much dps. /shrug just an idea if your tanks are dying too much.

Tier 6 items are loaded with stam anyway. I have as much health in my raiding gear as I do in full pvp gear. The health of our tanks would probably decrease in pvp gear.
in addition to PW:S, the new battlemaster trinkets are really gib. A lot of our raid pvps semi-hardcore, so a good chunk of us have/use them when acting as soaks. Do not underestimate the enrage. Use rogues with evasion or high health feral druids on it. I don't recommend trying to kite, positioning is a b***h and some random stupid 7k health mage always seems to get caught in fixate range on major moves.
hihihi dps. Even healers need to nuke hard on this phase. Mana is a nonissue, you'll get it all back when the ghosts die. I did not do this fight before the healing -> damage change, but I've been told it was far harder to make it through this phase before.

phase 1 we just have all casters go range dps while melle do the dmg taken adn the priests shield whoever gets hit by him also umm pallies go in and take it too biggrin
Well on enrage we have the rogues take it and hit evasion and also the warriors and roods take it biggrin
we usually ever go theu about 3-4 enrages before we nuke the retarted head down.
Phase 2 is when the real fun starts GL biggrin
