So, I have been trying for some time to get my pinch harmonics down but can't seem to do it, if someone would be willing to help me by posting some tips that'd be awesome.

look up "joe satriani" on google videos if you're lucky you will find a video about "how to play satch boogie" and at a certain part of the video he goes in strict detail on how to perfom monster pinch harmonics. im not even going to try to explain how over gaia, take way to long and you wont understand it completely. lol

That's partially because whenever he uses pinch harmonics on the D or G strings, he uses his wah.

If you want the best, watch Randy Rhoads' hand motion when he plays. the way he "flicks" his hand automatically creates a pinch harmonic

i know he's a good musician, i just know that he used to play what i like, im not into the new stuff he does, plus i think he over uses pinch harmonics. that's all.

Kinda a angus young type thing . it's not TOO difficult, all he's doing is bending the note with a pinch, and ya that guy is all about covering his playing with wah. Lemme find a quote from Zakk on that subject... In a fan-mail section in an issue of Guitar World, a reader asked, "Do you have your wah pedal on all the time and set to a certain depth to get your perfect pinch-harmonic sound?" Zakk responded: "No, I'll use it for the pinch harmonics for the D and G strings, but other than that I'll never have it on. I'll just use it for the solos 'cause it pops and gives it more high end. I'll never use it, like, "wah-wah-wah-wah." A lot of guys who use it like that are just covering up for their shitty playing. For me, the wah is just a reflection of tone."
