The air was cool and crisp, and if Zinnia was paying attention then she would have noticed that her breath was visible. The sun was high in the sky, indicating some time around noon, and upon the ground was a layer of snow that was leftover from a storm that hit a few days ago.
The heavily-patterned orange female was walking around, her silver eyes looking from sight to sight. She wasn't really looking for anything specific, but she was still looking. She didn't even know what it was she was looking for, to be honest. She really didn't dwell too much on such things. Instead she simply enjoyed being out for a walk and looking at the lovely scenery.

(Sorry, I almost couldn't find it eek ) Chaos ambled along, for once not really looking for the pond. There was one partial reason for that... And that was Pond.Pond followed after Chaos, stopping every once in a while to sniff at this bush or peek into that tree. It was in this manner that he spied Zinnia, squeaking and dashing over to her, trying to stop too late and bumping into her. He landed on the ground with a squeak and looked up at the bright orange Namir, "Hi!"Chaos looked back at the sound of Pond's squeak, peering into the bushes looking for him. "Oof!" she said, her fur catching in a particularly thorny bush, "Help!" Her tail swished back and forth as she tried to tug her fur out of the thorns.

(It is pretty hard to find, huh?)
Zinnia's attention was quickly averted from the surroundings when she was run into by a little Niva. She glanced down at him and asked with just the slightest hint of the attitude she's pocessed since kithood, "You should pay more attention to where you are going and learn when to stop."
Upon giving the Niva advice that she felt was good (but probably wouldn't help), she heard a cry for help from a familiar namir. She rushed over to the source of the sound and said, "Chaos? Are you alright?" She saw that Chaos was trapped in the thorn bushes and with a paw moved the bush's branches over some to make room for Chaos. The thorns dug painfully into her foreleg, but she ignored it until the trapped namir could get free.

Pond nodded with wide eyes, scurring backwards at the Namir's tone.
Chaos finally wiggled free and sat back on her tail, "Ow! Oh! Hey Zinnia!"
As soon as Chaos was free Pond dashed over to hide behind her, lowering his eyes to the ground to avoid Zinnia's gaze.

Zinnia removed her foreleg from the thorn bush, her wounded limb yelling at her. She silently said, "Oh, stop that. It's not that bad," before returning attention to Chaos. "Are you alright? Being caught in a thorn bush is no fun at all." She watched as the Niva scurried behind Chaos, and asked, "Who's your little friend?"

"No it isn't any fun at all, thanks for the help!" Chaos glanced down at Pond, "His name is Pond, but he doesn't seem to know where it is..."
Pond replied to the by now familiar question, "Where what is?"
Chaos sighed, "The pond."
Pond frowned, "Pond is here, not know where "The" is. Why you ask same questions?"
Chaos rolled her eyes, obviously having been through this routine before. "It's better to avoid the subject..." she glanced down at Zinnia's forepaw, "Oh! Your arm! We should get a bandage for that!" She scurried around in the undergrowth looking for something that might be of help, feeling guilty that her freind had gotten injured while trying to help her.

"No problem at all, anything for a friend." She looked back at her arm when Chaos began freaking out about it. Sure, it was bleeding some, but nothing that won't go away on its own. Still, she didn't like to worry Chaos so she said, "Maybe some leaves could be used as a bandage?"

"Okie!" Chaos tried to turn and dash towards the nearest bush, but wound up tripping over Pond and falling flat on her face, "Dagnabit!"
Pond squeaked when Chaos tripped over him and scurried under the closest cover he could find. He plucked a couple of big leaves and threw them out into the clearing.
Chaos blinked at the leaves that floated down onto her nose, "Thank you?" She gathered them up and hurried back over to Zinnia where she stared at the leaves in her paws, not sure how to put them on so that they would stay.

Zinnia looked over the leaves for a moment, deciding on what to do. She figured that wetting them a bit would help. She put a bit of snow on the leaf and pressed her paw on it. When the snow had melted completely, and the leaf was wet, she stuck it on her cut. It probably wouldn't last for a long time, but long enough to allow the blood to clot. "There. All better," she said with a smile.

Chaos sighed with releif and relaxed her fur, which had somehow puffed itself out to twice its usual size. "So what are you doing out here?" she asked, now that the panic was over and she could revert back to her normal hyper self.
Pond peered at them from the bush, reluctant to come out until he was sure they wouldn't trip over him again.

Zinnia replied, "I'm just out for a walk right now. Though for some reason I feel like I'm looking for something. It's wierd." She shrugged. "Anyways, what brings you to this part in the woods?

Chaos sighed and said, "I am looking for something, but I found more than I can handle..." She flicked her tail at Pond and smiled wryly.
Pond regained his confidence and sauntered out into the clearing, imitating Chaos's voice patterns with a set of squeaks.
Chaos shook her head, "He can talk, but he likes to do that around me for some reason..." She grinned a little, "You want to hear something really confusing?"

Zinnia nodded her head, wondering what the confusing bit of information could be. While wondering, she was being slightly annoyed by the squeaks, though it wasn't anything she couldn't ignore.

Chaos grinned misheivously and said, "Pond, pond, where is pond?"
Pond looked up at Chaos and replied, "Here."
"I don't see it, where is it?"
"Where's what?"
"The pond."
"'The' is somewhere else, but Pond is right here."
Chaos looked confused, "But I don't see it!"
"See what?"
"I just said! I don't see the pond!"
Pond was starting to get huffy, "Don't know where 'the' is, but Pond is right here!"
Chaos grinned again at Zinnia, "See?"

Zinnia laughed, "So his name is Pond? Yeah, I would guess that would get confusing." She thought of ways to resolve the situation, "Maybe we could ask where a small body of water is located?"
