That is so weird, and kind of funny, because my sun sign is the aquarius and I'm born under the year of the tiger.

What I don't get is how there seem to be so many differences between the western and Chinese zodiac descriptions. Some quotes from the wikipedia entries:
Pig (so Scorpio):
"It is important to remember that these people are not vengeful creatures."
-I would have said that if any sign is vengeful, it would be Scorpio (no offence, Scorpios)
"The Pig type is usually an honest, straightforward and patient person."
-Not saying they aren't honest or patient, but I wouldn't have described Scorpios as typically straightforward - they're extremely complex.
Rat (so Sagittarius):
"Rat people are endowed with great leadership skills and are perhaps the most organized and systematic of the twelve signs."
-organised and systematic?
"rats are highly ambitious and strong-willed people who are keen and unapologetic promoters of their own agendas, which often include money and power."
-This sounds more Capricorn than Sagittarian. In fact, a lot of the descriptions sounds more earth than fire. Tiger also sounds more fire than air.
And so on. There are similarities, but I still find it confusing and strange. If it were just the years, then fair enough, because it would be functioning on a different time scale. But the fact that this is also a month by month system means that, if there's truth in both forms of astrology, the descriptions should be more closely matched.
Thoughts, anyone?

I think your over analyzing it. Also...I have no idea, I got this off a website.
Though, dragons are arian and snakes are very taurian. Leos are alot like Monkeys and do admit I'm a bit dog like...as far as loyalty at least.
