Qin hung his head low as he plodded along the forest path. It hadn't been a very good day, but he didn't want to think about it. Sighing, he nosed a leaf to see if any tasty berries had survived the winter under it. There was nothing.
Stomping his hoof in anger, he let out a few choice curses, he hated when he had a bad day. Thinking of how the rest of the day could turn out though, he pricked his ears and tried to be cheerful.

 Lovana trotted along, flicking her tail which was wet from trotting threw some water. It was a beautiful day just like her, that is was glory to be in the sun. A day where usually one where many would be out. But, there was a shortage of food after the winter and many were out in search of food. The grass was mostly dead, and the apples on the tree's were rotten. But, that was no reason to be down.
"'Cause you had a bad day, your taking one down, you sing a sad song just to turn it around!" Lovana, as the attention-whore she is began to sing as she picked her way threw the forrest untill a stomp echoed it's way to her and she turned in the way of the sound. Pricking up her ears she trotted towards the noise.

Trying to be cheerful wasn't going very well, it was much harder than being down in the dumps, or in this case the leaves. Qin folded his legs under himself and settled down on the thawing forest floor.
Qin's ears flicked back and forth, he thought he had heard something. It had been a sweet sound, like singing. Lifting his head up, he turned around, pricking his ears, searching for the sound.

At a fast pace dodging trees and approaching the sound of crunching leaves, Lovana almost collided with a stallion that was heading the same way. A bit dazed by the event Lovana tilted her head in question, a faint smirk playing on her lips.
She flicked her tail, watching and taking in the stallions apperance. Clothes? Rare that she meets someone with such, apperance. Allowing herself to stay quiet to draw in the stallions intrest.

Qin felt a thud as he fell to the ground. Quickly picking himself back up, he brushed himself off and settled his mane back into place. After making sure his apperance was suitable, he looked up at the other soquili.
She was a mare, and it seemed like a small smirk was settling on her mouth. Qin narrowed his eyes, but only a little bit. After standing in silence for a few seconds, he said, "My apologies, I did not mean to knock you down." He eyed the mare, waiting.

"Oh, no, no, no worries! It was my fault, I should have watched where I was going. Oh, dear me, I am terribly sorry" Stumbling over some words in speech the mare gathered herself and pushed the smirk from her lips to give a caring smile.
Even though kindness was little of what she had in mind.

Qin had been watching the mare closely as she gave her 'speech', and knew that she was faking it. It amused him to see her push away the smirk and replace it with a smile. He let a little smirk of his own settle on his face, and said,
"Well then, if you are unhurt, or not even unsettled, then there is no need for an apology, hm?" He flicked his ears back and forth, watching the mare to see what expression she would try to hide next.

Her mind wondered for a bit as she just gazed at the stallion. A flapping piece of paper on his head caught her attention.
"Well, I do think your right. But, apologies are always there, because I got in your way, of course. And whats that thing on your head used for?" The mare raised a brow in sudden intrest and slowly approached the stallion.

Qin let the smirk fall away from his face, the mare seemed genuinly interested. He cleared his throat, this was always a touchy subject, and said, "Its called a fu paper, it, it lets me stay in this world. You see," he paused and winced before continueing, "I uh, I'm actually, kinda, well not kinda because I am, well, dead." He took a deep breath before finishing,
"The fu paper allows me to stay here, and I'm still like every other soquili, I just have, well I guess you would call it, a second chance." He felt a little emberrased, but scared too. Usually explaining what the fu paper was scared soquili away, they didn't want to hang around with the local dead guy.

The mare looked at him for awhile. Letting he info sink in, she gave a shrug and a smile. "dead guy eh?" She tilted her head
"Second chance." The mare mummbled for a moment and then looked up.
"What are you doing being lazy and running into innocent mares?" Lovana grinned, jokingly of course.
"I guess they give better looking stallions a second chance...eh?" The mare winked and flicked her tail and began to walk off.
"Come on then! Lets start a journey of your...second life!"

For a moment, Qin thought the mare was joking, then it dawned on him that she wasn't scared of him, she knew who he really was, and didn't have a problem with it. He grinned widely and caught up with the mare.
Trotting next to her, he asked, "So, may I have the pleasure of knowing your name?" He grinned slyly. She was not the only one who could get away with a mocking question. He laughed, this was going to be fun.

The mare watched the stallion follow her and grinned. She tossed her head up, throwing her mane the the other side while walking next to him. So what if he was dead? Sure thats a bit, freaky.
"My name...hmmm. No" She grinned and shook her forlock away from her eyes before trotting a bit ahead of him.

Qin laughed, he was enjoying himself immensly. He quickened his pace and caught up with the mare. He said playfully, "Hello hmmmmmm, no. I'm hmmmmmmm yes." He smiled, it felt good to be laughing and smiling. Much better than grumping about.

It took the mare a minute to catch on to his joking. "Now I never said my name was Hmmm. You can call me pretty lady if you want too." She grinned
"Or you could just call me Lovana." She flicked her tail at him and smiled.
"And your name oh dead stallion?"

Qin mulled over the name in his mind, Lovana. It rolled off the tongue nicely, a very smooth and flowing name. He realized she had asked him his own name, so he said,
"I am Qin, and its very nice to finally know what your name is, Lovana." It was indeed a nice name. He liked saying it. It was all smooth and floaty, with a light pink color to it.
