High-functioning Werewolf

I've had this idea bouncing around in my head for a really long time now and I'm just starting to finally write it down. Picture if you will....
Alice is not exactly 7 and one half years old. She's more about 13. She lives in present day America, fully unaware of Wonderland, though she dreams of a place like it. Alice finds herself at the end of her rope during a late night argument with her family. She runs up to her room and begins an emergency councelling session with the beat up stuffed rabbit she's had since a baby. Just as she begins to open up, an obviously rushed rabbit man strides across what she is not sure is her wildly overactive imagination or actually her room.
As she investigates, she finds herself in the world of Wonderland, as depicted in a way no one has seen it before.
And that's my synopsis so far. My character profiles are rough and fairly one-dimensional, save for Alice who is chiefly one of my many alter egos.
Alice- A teenage girl who refuses to grow up. She wears childish clothes and insists on clinging to her favorite childhood toy, "White Bunny".
White Rabbit- Think "Niles" from Fraisier, only as a bunny man.
Mad Hatter- Gothic rock star. Lover of March Hare.
March Hare- Trampy gay character. Lover of Mad Hatter.
That's all I have so far. But I would love to hear honest, blunt feedback so I can make this the best script it can be. Even if that happens to be in the Circular File. *winces*

my friends and i are writing a play (but could be a musical) called "Dancing With God" it's really funny, but a tad hard to explain now ^^

Kitsune Ookami my friends and i are writing a play (but could be a musical) called "Dancing With God" it's really funny, but a tad hard to explain now ^^ Both ideas sound really cool...hey, Kitsune...I have an idea...you should make the teacher the "voice of reason"...hahaha...sorry...just trying to get into the script...hahahah...the modern day Alice in Wonderland thing should be interesting...I don't know if there are any rights on it or not though...even without the script there could still be some copyright problems...you might wanna check it out first...

I think the Alice in Wonderland-script sounds great. Just gotta keep it that way. I'm out of practice, so my ideas turn into s**t.

Haven't really been working on scripts.
However, I'm trying to become a songwriter. I've written about 5-6 songs, but only a couple of them are really good.

I'm writing a script as well, but it's not very good....I only have a couple scenes so far. I haven't thought it out very much.
I read an interview someone did with Christopher Paolini (the kid who wrote Eragon) and he said that clear writing can only come after clear thinking, and that fuzzy writing will come from fuzzy thinking. So I guess I just have to think it through a bit more.

I'll have to keep that in mind, Madsie. That's some good advice.
Holy crap it's hard to write music. Though I always found it easier to write the poetry first then put music to it. But damn I can't write, oh, 8 measures of melody and accompaniment to save my Music Theory grade. You, Ramases, are impressive.
I'm pretty sure I'm infringing on several copyright laws, so yeah, I'd have to get permission. The process takes about 2 years. At least that's how long it took me to get a rejection from Tim Burton to create a stage adaption of the Nightmare Before Christmas. I don't blame him. It's his baby and I don't think a ballet-dancing humbug of a female Zero really rubbed him the right way.
This however, is nearly completely warped away from the original Alice in Wonderland. And I'm debating on wether or not to add music. And if so, what kind- rockish, full orchestral, complete synth, several experimentational styles?

Kind of like Alice in Wonderland's plot meets a gothic fairy tale's image meets Rent's musical style... sounds good.

I like the idea, but if you want a little more flexibility in corny plot development, create a little more friction between Mad Hatter and March Hare. Perhaps a break up, a fight, or maybe start them off with no confirmed relationship at all. smile

It's sounding good.
My friends and I started writing a Broadway play a year ago.
It's called 'The Gang's All Here"
But..We didn't get very far.
We just established our characters and threw aruond a few vague ideas for songs. >-<
