Today Bly was glad to be away from home. His father would not stop being silly. He kept calling him "Bly Bly" and it had been getting on Bly's nerves. Sighing, the little colt hopped over a fallen tree. He laughed. It was fun. He hopped over it more until he lost his breath. He finally sat down like a dog to rest himself. He didn't know it but his parents always used to sit like this. Maybe it was a good thing he didn't know. He looked around, now wanting something else to do. But what?

Winter had arrived! Alona gave a small cheerful smile as her soft brown eyes watched the sky drift by. It had been a while since she had even a chance to go out into the woods by herself, let alone without her family tagging along. It was a little quiet not hearing Moki's deep voice batter against Tsela light pitch about who should play and who should be quiet. She still loved them either way, but even she needed a break from it once in a while!
She gave a soft knicker as she shook her head. The dark black curls fluttered a little before framing her face. It was really quiet....

Having nothing to do, Bly still sat. And sat some more. He looked at the clouds boredly trying to make them into funny shapes. He too thought it was far to quiet. He began singing Mary Had a Little Lamb. It was his favorite song and he sang it when he was alone. Since he was completely alone now, he sang it as loudly as he could, laughing in between a few lines of the song. When he was done singing it, he had to sing it again. It was stuck in his head now.

Alona's ears perked as she heard a voice. Someone was singing... it wasn't the world's greatest singing either, in which it sort of reminded her of Moki when he tried to sing when he was little. She gave a small chuckle, even though it wasn't the greatest he was so cute when he tried to sing louder than his sisters!
Alona moved to get closer to the voice to see who was singing, and to her surprise it was a foal singing. He was sitting on the ground in a funny way... and he seemed to be enjoying himself.
Alona wondered if she should say something, or just leave him be. But she didn't see anyone else close by, and her mother instincts knew better than to leave him alone in the woods. Giving a small nicker she didn't want to distrub the foal, or even worse frighten him...

"Who's fleece was white as sn--..." he stopped singing and looked around. He had heard someone. He looked everywhere but where Alona was, of course. He whinnied, trying to find where the heck the other was. He stood up and looked under himself. The least likely place where someone could be, but to him it seemed like a good hiding place. "Where are you?" he said and spun around in circles looking for someone else. Maybe he was hearing things. But that was not a thought that crossed his mind.

Alona gave a small shake of her head before taking a few more steps into the clearing where the small foal was. She didn't mean to hide from, or at least she didn't think she was hiding. But then again sometimes others had a hard time seeing her in the woods. She never thought about the fact that the color of her coat was like wood and her hair dark black hair blended in as well, well there really wasn't anything that stood out from the woods that wouldn't let her blend in!
"I'm right here!" she replied with a small smile on her face.

Bly turned around and looked at the mare. He was a bit embarrassed because he had been singing so loudly, but at least it wasn't pa coming to take him home. "Oh...Hi." he said. She looked nice. So he wasn't afraid of her. Bly judged others by their looks often. It made it easier for him...Most of the time. "Where'd you come from?" he asked curiously.

Alona gave a smile as she stepped a little closer. Her soft brown eyes looked for any other figure, so he was alone? Did he wander away? She kep the smile on her face to him, not to worry him...
"Hello... I came from over there by the woods, well more of from where my family is staying" she replied, she was a little unsure exactly what he meant of where...

"Oh. I'm Bly." he stated and nodded without really paying attention to what she had said. He smiled back at her. "What's your name?" he asked. He watched a squirrel dig in the snow at the base of a tree. "Shh." he said and snuck toward it. Of course as soon as he was within a few feet of it the thing scurried up the tree. He shrugged and walked back to the mare. "What were we talking about?" he asked, staring around with a silly facial expression.

Before Alona could even respond what her name was he had rushed after a squirrel. She gave a small chuckle to herself, the boy's attention reminded her of her own grandson who always seemed to be running around. She watched as the squirrel took off from him and him returning to her...
"Well I was going to say my name is Alona" she smiled "but you seemed a little busy... are you here alone?"

"Oh. Sorry. Hi Alona," he said said. "My name's Bly," he stated forgetting that he'd already told her that. "I'm alone...for now. Pa will probably find me soon. He likes to pop up here and there." He looked around knowing that Copper was probably near. He didn't want to go home though. He looked back at Alona and smirked.

"Well then hello Bly," Alona replied with a soft smile on her face.
"Your father is around, who is he?" Maybe it was someone she knew... and if not then it maybe it was someone new! She loved meeting other soquilis.
Alona's soft brown eyes watched as the boy let a smirk spread across his face, he seemed to be one up to no good! Alona gave a small chuckle, it was just like Kanti shen she had plans to do something, and usually it was never anything good.

"Oh you'll probably find out for yourself."
Bly nodded his head and looked around himself. Pa liked playing hide and seek, so he was probably trying to blend in with the trees. And of course something caught Bly's eye. "Oh come on, pa. I see you." Bly yawned. When his father did not come he trotted over to the edge of the clearing and looked around. A bird flew from the bushes. "Oh. Nevermind. Wasn't him." he shrugged.

Alona rose a brow as she watched the foal.
"So he isn't too far away then..." she replied her voice soft, as long as he didn't think she was going to harm his child then things would be fine. Wouldn't they?
She watched as something caught his eye and he ran towards it, he was bold! If he didn't watch out one of these days something that he ran towards wouldn't be something that he would want to meet... and it would be horrible fate for the small one.
"You should be careful at times.... things may not always appear as you would like them to Bly..."

"Huh? Wha--Oh yeah, sure sure." he said not really knowing what she had said at all. He was now day dreaming. He was thinking of being completely free and not having his father peek in on him now and then. His eyes had a glazed look to them and his mouth opened awkwardly. Then he snapped out of it and looked at Alona. "So...You have any kids?" he asked curiously and smiled at her.
