I thought I would give you guys an update.
So here goes. Gaia has still done nothing.
No email confirming my initial report, no contact with me whatsoever.
It's been 2 months.
Oh! I did get an email about the valentines event though... stressed
I have had offers from people who actualy don't have gaia accounts who have offered to hack my stuff back. I have said no on all offers (I know a lot of computer geeks) Because I thought Gaia would handle it.
But Gaia is making me wonder if there will be anyone working on this. Anyone returning my stuff, or even remotely interested in returning my stuff. Or making the person who did this leave Gaia.
If there is no punishment for hacking, they are saying it's OK to hack. Is that the only way I will get my stuff back?
Because Gaia ain't doin a damned thing!_________________________Original post__________________________ I gave my old R/P account to my 9 year old son and gave him a bunch of stuff that i have collected over the years & bought him some stuff from the cash store. Then someone hacked his account and has stolen almost all his stuff. Someone gifted themself as well, with his fausto's bottle and piggy plush... over 50 items stolen. They even took all his cash. Not only am i upset cause someone just stold from my little kid but Also upset because Gaia has this "we are not responsible" policy, and yet Lanzer is thinking of taking peoples stuff from banned accounts and selling it. Thats mine, and my kids stuff! so if that account gets banned because of hacking, which it should, and any account attached to them, then we should be able to get his stuff back!

Today (Dec 15) I got a pm from "Pokemon Kasumi" she was ripped off by the same guy. Seems this a*****e is targeting little kids in the pokemon threads. What a loser.

Anjeni Today (Dec 15) I got a pm from "Pokemon Kasumi" she was ripped off by the same guy. Seems this a*****e is targeting little kids in the pokemon threads. What a loser. Thats so messed up. They are pixels!! Why take some fake, computer items from little kids? People are so horible! It's probley some older loser with no life so he hacks little kids to make himself feel better because by stealing from 9 year olds he gets all these cool items for his avitar so other Gaians will think he is better than them for having expensive stuff... rolleyes ... people like that need to get a life... but karma will take care of him or her, mabey someone will break into thier house and steal real stuff.

Ugh! I know what those people are. They're called vultures in the forums. They listen in to threads where younger kids would go and watch for ones with expensive looking avy's. Then they swoop in and strip em. Sometimes they even join guilds where little kids would be as well! It's basically because they have huge egos that need to be constantly stroked with expensive items..the best way to escape them is to be cheap. Which isn't very nice.. if you believe in charma, then be assured it'll come back at them. If they're wiccan, then be assured it'll hit em three times as hard! If they're Christian they'll go to hell for hurting little kids at least.. (Christianity isn't really big on quick-coming just desserts)

I beleave in Karma too.
Unfortunatly this has made me totally lose my taste for Gaia.
I will be quitting as soon as i figure out if Gaia itself is actually going to do anything about this.
I will give my Avi and those of my younger son's to my 19 year old, who still connects here with his friends.
Before i do that though, i will tell you guys and disband the guild.
It's very disappointing to me that I haven't even gotten a reply from my inital report. I found much more had been stolen than i first thought. so i have to make that list longer.
If they keep waiting all his stuff will have been sold in the marketplace.
Lady Who Knew - i had no idea about Vultures, so I'll let Pokemon Kisume know about that.

Thank you guys for being supportive anyway.
There are those in the "Help" thread who would rather blame the victim.
You guys are making me feel better.
I think I'm more upset about this than i want to be, but i just can't help it.
It feels shitty to be robbed, it feels worse not to be able to protect my son from being robbed.

It's sad really. I totally supported Gaia. Ive been a member since March 2004.
I have donated regularly, because of all the server crashes and whatnot, i thought they could use the support.
I bought the OMG and Orly hats for my son's to wear to school.
Got the phone wallpaper of my Avi for my cell.
I was really into it. Now i want nothing to do with any of it.
It's like - I loved Gaia, but It doesn't love me back.
The Dev's and Mod's don't care.
Well I guess I'll find out if they do.
There inaction isn't impressing me though so far.

I don't think I'll be banned. I didn't use profanity, or threats.

I'm sorry some jerk made you want to leave Gaia crying And I hope you don't get banned for sending the little p***k a PM, some of the idiots Gaia allows into mod positions think they are God and will ban anyone without looking into the truth. The way they run this site is really disapointing... computers can do amazing things so I doubt it would be that hard to track the items from your son's account to the hackers account and any mules he might have sent the items to. But they have better things to do like ban people for no reason.
I hope they accually do something about it but from what I've heard it's unlikely. Have you tried to PM any of the mods or admins? Mabey one of them will accually have a heart and try to do something about.
Do you live anywhere near a city that holds anime conventions? I know here in California San Jose holds a convention every year and the creators of Gaia are normally there at the Gaia booth... if you can ever make it to one of those you could tell the creators what you think of the site and how they are handling it.
And another thing, why are people in the Help thread blaming your son? Like he asked to get hacked...what jerks, people don't care, they just want something to b***h about... rolleyes

Hey Anjeni, I just found out something you might be interested to hear about.
This website, http://www.chaosprogramming.com/, is selling fake Gaia log on screens to hackers for $10! It seems no one is safe on Gaia anymore. I just sent in a complaint about it and asked them what they are doing to stop this hacking stuff and if they are doing anything that might make me feel safer about being a Gaian member, hopefully I'll get a response and someone will explain to me what they plan to do about it and all the other problems with hackers on the site. I'm pretty peeved after finding out about that site... mad

Not some little bastage theif.
