Welcome to the ShinKami Christmas Event!
Open To Everyone! Come Join The Party!

The secluded and sprawling green landscape of the ShinKami School of Saviors has been opened to the public for a very merry Christmas party, and you've been invited!

After arriving on the island through the Harbor and following the Christmas light and holly-decked walkway, you'll find yourself by the Chikami Mall, the hub of all the holiday cheer. Many people mill through and around the mall, indicating that the party is not just inside, but outside as well!

The mall itself is the grand stage for two of the main attractions; the Games booth and Plushie booth! The Games booth is easy enough to find, with dazzling lights and multiple games set up for your enjoyment. The children seem to flock here the most, their cries and jeers heard over the lilting festive music that plays throughout the mall. The Plushie stand is also easy to find, completely swarmed by every female of every shape, size and age; several Plushies are out on display, all adorable and squeezable in their own right, begging to be taken home...if you can brave the throngs of squealing women!

North of the hubub outside the loud and bright lights of the mall is a somewhat more secluded booth, one for taking Photos! Many giggling pairs can be seen near the booth, casting shy glances in hopes of taking a picture with their special person. A few lone individuals also make their way to the Photo booth, intent on taking home a keepsake from the party to remember for all time, or to give to others as a momento. This booth almost seems to be empty, but should you approach, you'll soon find the booth's tender.

To the far southeast and quite out-of-the-way placement, one would find the Ticket Exchange Booth. It isn't quite so busy - likely because people have a difficult time finding it - but that seems to suit the caretaker just fine. If you're adventurous to find the booth and brave enough to to make the exchange, you will be the happy owner of new currency of which to enjoy the festivities with.

The students may find a harder time finding the Credit Exchange, as it seems the bearer of this duty is constantly on the move! If you look hard enough, you might catch sight of the lovely and smiling vision in red with a sack over their shoulder...

With so much to do and so many prizes to be won, what are you waiting for?
Go enjoy yourself, and have yourself a very Merry Christmas!

To say RuiZhi was unaware of Christmas and the festivities it entailed would have been a grand understatement.

The Chinese boy was dressed in one of his more fitted formal robes, velvety crimson in color with black trim and gold accents, complete with a mandorin-style buttoned collar. He wore his standard black leggings and polished slippers as a comfort. His hair was braided as usual, but a sprig of holly and found itself weaved within his thick strands, his skullcap not unlike his robes. The boy was about as festive as his sister could manage, and now that he was being dragged into the midst of this 'celebration' by none other than his room mate, he felt somewhat self conscious.

RuiZhi, while uncertain and more than a little confused, had his hands folded deeply within the bell sleeves of his garment, grasping his wrists to keep from clinging to the wily blonde next to him. There was a distinct amount of trepidation, as though the boy was someone uninvited in this widely accepted holiday. There was also a good deal of curiosity and a desire to know what the grand displays were all about, and it was this latter bit of emotion that kept him moving.

"S-so, Scyeth," RuiZhi tried to be conversational, sounding a little more meek than he would have liked, "what...is all this for?"

Scyeth hadn't celebrated a single holiday (birthdays included!) until this very, very moment. To say his father was a bit of stickler when it came to spending time on his son would be a bit of an understatement.

The Australian had no idea how to dress, though he was fairly sure his skateboard wouldn't be an accepted part of his attire. Despite his still-wounded shoulder (alright, fine, it didn't hurt too badly anymore but being in a sling had some benefits only Scyeth really knew), he managed to dress himself in a navy long-sleeved shirt (it had bright orange script on the side) with a gray t-shirt pulled over. He was wearing his typical loose pants, all bright colors and held up by a black belt. He had his hat too, it was simply too cold to go without. He did try to get into the holiday spirit at least a little, tying some bells onto his hat.

Scyeth gave RuiZhi a look as he let his little roommate go, looking around the mall. "Why are you asking me?" he snorted. "You're the smart one." He gave the Chinese boy a wily grin, shaking his head. It was true. RuiZhi was substantially smarter and studied ten times harder than Scyeth even thought about studying. "Besides. I didn't celebrate holidays at home." He glanced around again, a wild grin wide on his lips. "But now I can't imagine why. It seems like a lot of fun!" He grabbed Zhi's arm and began dragging him in the first direction he could think. "C'mon!"

RuiZhi relaxed a little as Scyeth released him, blinking his wide eyes at the mall. He supposed as long as they kept away from the food courts, he might be able to get through the evening and quite possibly even enjoy himself. The youth pursed his lips and gave an indignant shake of his head at Scyeth's comment, retorting, "Holidays have nothing to do with being a doctor."

Sadly, the Chinese boy was also sheltered from the holidays, except for the New Year (and even that wasn't on the same date as the rest of the world). "Me either," he mumbled, quite possibly lost in the din of music and multiple conversations. "Fun?" he repeated, a little louder, glancing over to the taller boy. "How do you figu--h-hey!" Again, the boy found himself being unceremoniously lead about the mall by the blonde, barely managing to catch his step and make an effort at looking normal about it.

"Be careful, Scyeth!" RuiZhi chided the other, "You arm is still healing." He scrounged for the rest of his dignity to make his predicament seem as though it were mutual rather than him actually being at the mercy of the 'wounded' Australian.

Scyeth just snorted at RuiZhi's quip. Clearly, he had not learned his lesson when he was younger. Scyeth picked up on it immediately and nipped that problem in the butt. Smart kids were supposed to know everything. Really, being smart and studying all the time was just setting one's self up for failure. "Doesn't mean you shouldn't know," he replied, shaking his head.

It took the wild blond a couple of moments to realize he had no idea where he was going. He halted, though he still refused to release RuiZhi's hand from his grip. He wasn't going to lose his friend in this turmoil, thank you very much. Then he'd have to spend his time searching instead of having fun, and that was just be a waste of a party! "So," he chirpped, ignoring RuiZhi's gently chiding, "what do you want to do first?" By the looks of it, there was really quite a lot to do.

"What do you think those people are crowning around?" he asked, pointing to a flock of girls standing around a booth. Girls. Now Scyeth's interest was more than a little piqued. A flirt just couldn't help himself.

Lexi strolled the area of the mall, taking in the sights of the festivities. The whole place decked out for Christmas was a bit overwhelming, even more so since she didn't know anyone here.

She dressed in a red dress with long sleeves. It hung down to mid-thigh where the hem was lined with white fluff, much like the sleeve cuffs and collar of the dress. Her knee-high boots were made of a reddish brown leather.

Hugging her arms around her body, Lexi tried to decide what place to look at first. There seemed to be a large group of women crowding around one booth, but she wasn't sure she wanted to brave wading through the throng just to find out what was going on there. Perhaps a quieter place would be better to start at, she thought.

Even though he had gotten somewhat of a notice from Lorioth (a hint, rather, for the doctor was unable to spit out any details without making himself blush like a red delicious apple), More had not expected the event to be this big. In fact, it was so big, the young man found himself getting lost on the very route to the science building. He had not planned to join this party or whatever, but now that he was stuck, he couldn't help but to look around in wonder, mainly asking in his mind why the heck was there so many strangers.

Not a fan of the holiday himself, More was dressed in his usual attire, a bare white shirt that seemed to be too small and not winter-protective. Yet, it didn't matter much to him, although he was a little embarrassed about not being prepared with some sort of holiday decorations, since everyone else seemed to have them. The young man sighed and looked around, wondering if he could see someone he knew.

Lorioth’s footsteps were accompanied by a sweet chime of a golden bell that hung from the collar around his neck. Blushing profusely, he stumbled over many unfamiliar feet before finally fighting his way out from the crowd to a more secluded corner of the mall. The doctor normally didn’t dress up for Christmas, so it was preposterous now that he was being forced to wear a whole ensemble of chocolate brown, complete with the annoying sleigh bell, and a red headband from which protruded two distinct antlers. Well, at least he supposed he was grateful that he wasn’t being forced to wear a matching red nose and become Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Resigning himself to abandon his stealthy front (there was no point, as the bell gave away his location with every twitch), he walked openly to the place where he had set up his assigned booth—photos, incidentally. At least it only required a little push of the finger—not many words needed to be exchanged with his customers, and for that he was also thankful. Happy as he was that some of the islanders got to get a taste of the school, his home, he still was against pushing himself to meet anybody new. Well, all he had to do now was wait somewhere in the room and pray that no one found it.

He could live with just a camera for company—wait, where exactly was that camera? Lorioth nearly smacked himself in the forehead as he remembered that he had left it in the science lab, and the thought of being pushed through a crowd of sweaty strangers made his head spin. Still, the doctor would certainly be hearing something from the headmaster if he did not do his assigned tasks. With a sigh and a blush, the teacher made his way to the crowded mass, the bell singing every step of the way, and eyed it uncertainly, looking around for a savior.

The Chinese boy cast a quick glance towards Scyeth's indication, trying to remember what his sister had said. "That's where the Plushies are, run by Doctor Kenth's brother, Greg," he explained. He remembered the kind, red-headed man fondly, a brief smile touching his lips. RuiZhi hadn't seen the older brother of the Larine's since their first meeting... He'd have to see him again soon, especially since Alex demanded plushies of certain individuals.

To the first question, the youth looked around, feeling somewhat nervous. There were so many people! "D-do? I don't know, what do people do for this type of thing?" RuiZhi actually inched towards Scyeth a little, inadvertantly squeezing the boy's hand with anxiety. All the people, and on this day he knew nothing of, what were they all supposed to do? Did they do something together? A game? What was with all the green and red stuff? And the LIGHTS? Was all this necessary??

Of course, the whole shindig would have fallen apart without the grace of one man. The man in question was dressed in his regular but dapper attire of a charcol buisness suit, chestnut hair parted neatly, monocle in place over one of his dark blue eyes. The older man smiled to himself as he watched everyone mingle and play, enjoying the festivities and time of year.

Norman loved the holidays. He didn't necessarily celebrate them himself, but he encouraged everyone else to do so, as he knew the good times were far and few inbetween, a necessary reprieve from the vigors of training for war. When it all boiled down to it, all his students and teachers needed to remember what they were fighting for. It was important.

Adjusting the peppermint striped handkerchief in his pocket, he glanced around, somewhat surprised to see a lady standing on her own. Not that seeing a woman was surprising, but seeing one not attached to Shinkami's very own Greg Larine, was surprising. "Merry Christmas," he said kindly as he approached her from the side, smiling. "I hope you're enjoying yourself this delightful evening."

"....This can't be right. Great."

Micajah rubbed the back of his neck as he stared at his surroundings, his eyebrows slightly bent in irritation and his jaw a little slack. He'd been trying to get to the library today to spend the day in quiet seclusion amidst his dear friends, the books, but for some reason another he found himself in a place filled with people, bright colors, and holiday cheer.

The colors and cheer he knew all to well as the signs of a holiday known as 'Christmas', and for some reason earlier he'd felt compelled to try and dress for the season. That of course meant he'd actually brushed his hair back and added a clip to his bangs, which seemed to be growing longer quicker, and worn something other than his usual yellow attire.

With khaki slacks that fitted him neatly and made him look sharp, he'd decided to accent the piece with a red turtleneck that sported small snowflakes around the wrist cuffs and the neckline. The turtleneck was a gift from his nanny of years ago, and he only wore it on occasion, but it felt the right thing to wear out today...even if he'd only been trying to go and find some books.

".. ... ...Now what?"

He could stand where he was for a while and think, trying to see if he really did remember where he was going, and that option seemed to best suite him. So, in the middle of the walkway of where he was, Micajah stopped his steps and stood there with his gaze towards the sky.

Lexi nearly jumped when some actually spoke to her. She had been busy thinking of which booth to look at first and hadn't been paying attention to all the people around her. Turning around, she shrank back nervously, a bit intimidated by the man's appearance.

"M-Merry Christmas to you too," she said politely, stumbling as she tried to curtsy and failed to pull it off well. She nodded as she looked around. "The celebration looks very exciting." She glanced back at him with a small smile.

Interestingly enough one brave soul ventured a peek at the crowded booth. His name, Nash, and he loved to explore new things; though he could have done without the crowd of females. They squealed and screamed at every chance they got, some directly in his sensative ears.

Holding his hands against both ears he pushed through the crowd, a few times being pushed back, at some point he was knocked the ground where he was almost trampled until a hand reached out to lift him up. He never did find the owner of that hand but sent a silent thank you for his own sake.

No matter how hard he tried to get to the front he was always pushed back. Sighing Nash decided it was best he quit while ahead. Slipping out through the side he leaned forward on his knees bracing himself. It was like being in a sauna it had been so hot, but with the cool winter air brushing against his flushed cheeks he stood up right taking a deep breath. "Well that didn't go as planned." He huffed while kicking at a stray rock. He watched it skip off into the brush before stuffing his hand in his pockets and scuttling off to another random booth.

"Oh," said Scyeth, nodding knowledgeably, like maybe he actually knew what he was talking about. He hadn't even managed to really meet the infamous doctor yet. But this Greg fellow, he certainly seemed to be some sort of lady killer. Scyeth would have to meet him later, too. Men good with chicks should be friends, not enemies. It prevented black eyes and other discrepancies later.

Scyeth blinked and looked back down when he felt a squeeze on his on hand. He suppressed a smile and just shook his head. "Jeez, you really need to get out more often, dude." Seriously. If he was going to get so anxious over a little party in the mall...well, let's say Scyeth was pretty sure RuiZhi wouldn't have survived with the blond's little group of friends back at home. "Just relax, Muffin." He leaned over to ruffle the boy's hair with his arm in a sling, no easy task. It made much more of a mess, too. "This is supposed to fun, kay?"

Well, obviously no one was going to come to his aid—these things simply had to be done by himself. But maybe…there was a way to cut around the undignified mass of bodies and leave this intimidating place. Gingerly gritting his teeth, Lorioth sighed and set off at a random direction, an optimistic chiming edging him on every step of the way. It was not as easy as he though it would be. For one thing, it seemed utterly impossible to avoid every single person in the sprawling grounds of the mall, and as the doctor was not tall of stature, he often found his antlers brushing against the visitors, much to their annoyance. Blushing furiously, Lorioth somehow managed to half-heartedly elbow his way of the crowds, with the reassurance that they would probably never know who he was, only to collide unceremoniously with another person. Very much put out, his emerald eyes fell upon the solitary boy, who he seemed to have disrupted in his meticulous process of staring at the ceiling. How odd…

“I-I apologize for my clumsiness,” Lorioth addressed him, dipping his head in an apologetic manner, and nearly missing poking his eye out. His complexion colored into one of the deepest crimson as he hastily continued, “but if I may ask—are you a little…lost?”

It wasn’t like he was in much of a hurry to go anywhere fast after all that exertion that he had put in to fighting his way through the mass of people. He could afford a little bit of chatting—after all, the boy seemed less intimidating than most people. Perhaps this belief stemmed from the fact that Lorioth had caught him gazing at the ceiling in a slightly detached manner…
