Hey, guys! biggrin
Well, as I slipped farther and farther into the deepest depths of my Queen obsession, and as I read the awesome RP that Memai and Popo-Licious have written, it occurred to me that it would be really cool if I could get my hands on some Queen fanfiction,
So, I've searched the internet far and wide, but I've only come across a grand total of three Queen stories. One of them is one of those "random" stories that are about a paragraph long and full of all sorts of nasty things, one of them I found to be mediocre, considering it revolved around a thirteen-year-old Roger Taylor's rather cliche romance with an American teenager, and one of them is this crazy-a** slash story that some people like writing for some strange unknown reason.
Then it occurred to me that there are a lot of people here who know way more about Queen than I do, so I was wondering: could somebody here at the Break Free Guild direct me to some good, non-slash Queen fiction?
Or, is anybody here in the process of writing one? If so, I'd be curious to see it.
Also, what do you think of fan-fiction in general?

i dont think im really that into fan-fiction. it seems kinda weird to me. but other like it and im not nocking it or anything.

Hmm... Non-slashy is pretty hard to come by, if not non-existent in this fandom. If you hop over to Queen_Slash on LiveJournal, you can find some well-written fics with a platonic bent, but your best bets are either writing something of your own, poking around the Q/ archives, conforming to the will of slash, or giving up. xd Straight fics are about as common as snow in Floridia, sadly.
Out of curiousity, what was the "crazy-a**" fic about, exactly? wink Maybe I've happened upon it at some point! ((Maybe I wrote it!)) xd

Probably not "crazy-a**" by the standards of a seasoned Queen fan such as yourself, but I wasn't really used to encountering that sort of thing, especially about Queen, so it freaked me out. Oh, yeah--I also found one in which Brian and Freddie are married, and apparently they have a daughter. I haven't the faintest clue how THAT would come about, but there it is. Have you ever wondered what Freddie, Roger, Brian, or John would do if he could have foreseen the insanity that would later come from the minds of his band's maniacal fan-base?

That series is written by a very talented author who goes by laliquey. whee It's not half bad, truth be told! But, back to the matter at hand... Queen fiction is pretty hard to come by. XD

On a different note...well, this is just my opinion, really, but I think a little less detail on the sex scene would be an improvement. Like, maybe if you described it to the point where her bra fell off, and then left the rest to the imagination. But then again, I am a bit of a goody-two-shoes when it comes to that sort of thing... xd
