Shay shivered in her oversized, though brightly coloured, jacket. She hated winter, hated, hated, hated it. If she had more control over her fire should would considered unleashing it and melting everything! She had her christmas shopping finished, the last bag with a book for Blood in it was in her hands as she decided to take a break before heading home.
The pheniox girl crossed the street and made her way toward the small local coffee shop, or in her case, hot chocolate.

Kemuri had been forcefully bound into a dark green fleece lined jacket over his attire, topped off with 'hobo gloves' which were like normal but purposely have the fingers open for convenience and a neatly knitted scarf. He had to get some gifts for Lily. Shehad no gifts under her mini hand-made tree (this is true ;-; ). He had gotten her the boxed set of .Hack// Legand of the Twilight bracelet (i want this ;0; ). He was going to buy it later as he had the whole day to do that. He wanted a coffee to kick start his morning first.
He walked down the street to get to his favourite coffee shop. It was small but their coffee was warm and delicious. Way better than Tim Hortons or Starbucks. In his opinion of course.

Shayna spotted Kemuri before he spotted her, she recognized his large wings from quite a distance. With a grin on her face she skipped towards him. When she got a bit closer she voiced a loud greeting, "Kemuri! Hello" She almost reached him when her feet found a patch of ice and slid out from underneath her. She arrived in a heap at his feet. "Oops"

"Hi shay~" he said as he turned to see his fiery friend calling to him. He could recognize her melodic voice anywhere. But misfortune brought upon her as she slipped. "Shay, are you okay? You gotta be careful in the winter." Kemuri said in a charming tone, trying to hold back from chuckling a little. "Here, come on up." He said as he offered a hand towards her to help her up from the cold floor.

Shayna took his hand, blushing almost as pink as her hair as she hauled herself up again. She brushed the snow off of her tights and shivered again. "I'll give you a hug as soon as you take me somewhere warm," she told him with a grin. She didn't really wait for his answer as she began to walk, very slowly and carefully.

Kemuri laughed softly to himself before walking up behind her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "Lets go to the coffee shop. They have great coffee" He said to her. he had the urge to have a warm coffee all morning! Plus the coffee shop was close and warm. He walked a little with Shay before he was in smell distance of the shop. Fresh coffee filled the crisp air.

Shay made a face. "i don't really like coffee, but I was just on my way to get hot chocolate." She grinned up at him, "though coffee does smell awfully good...isn't that always the way it is?" Her voice was wry as she reached out to open the door to the coffee shop.

"Yes, coffee is supposed to smell lovely to attract people to drink it." He spoke as he moved his hand in the blink of an eye to open the door for Shay. "After you my lady." he bowed and said in the most charming tone he could have made. He returned her grin with another grin.

Shayna giggled and nodded her head at him, "Thank you sir. You should have been a knight Kemuri" She entered the warmth of the coffee shop with some relief. "That's much better." The red head approached the counter, "What would you like? Aunt 'mane is buying"

Kemuri grinned at her words that touched his heart gently. He followed her into the warm store and then towards the counter. "No it's okay, Knight Kemuri cannot accept Aunt 'Mane's act of kindnesses." He always had the obscure order in the family and never had a solid order when he came. "Have you decided on what you want?" he said looking down from the menu. He had already decided what he wanted to try this time around.

Shayla curtsied, a move that would probably have looked better if her jacket hadn't covered the short skirt she was wearing. "You are far to kind sir knight," she kept up the game. "I would like.." she peered at the display, "Hot chocolate please!" She grinned up at him.

Kemuri smiled gently at the female before him. Her curtsy was darling and made him want to just hug her. But they were in public so he couldn't. It was against his morals. "I'll take a small coffee triple cream and triple sugar please." He took out a small change purse that held coins and a few bills. He started to count an exact amount for the cashier person. He counted enough change for his coffee as well as a small hot chocolate for Shay, even though she had declared that Aunt 'Mane was treating.

Shay batted lightly at him arm, "You don't have to pay for that." She shook her head at him in exasperation and giggled at the same time. She was growing rather fond of Kemuri and if he kept the sweet behaviour, she had a feeling it would develop into a full blown crush. She wasn't sure yet if that was agood thing or a bad thing.

Kemuri felt the soft batting of Shayna on his arm. "fine fine~" He thought he could trick her into letting him treat her if he quickly counted his change. He made it sound like he placed some coins back in but he quickly still kept the same amount in his hand. He placed the change in the hand of the cashier and winked with a 'don't tell her' look on his face.

Shay was easily distracted and missed Kemuri's sly wink as she looked around at everyone in the small shop. She reached into her pocket to get the money her aunt had given her, "That's right mister." She handed the money to the cashier. She blinked when he refused and she looked up at her companion, "You're impossible"
