Yeah, about as interesting as all the other meaningless virtual garbage we're hoarding in our accounts.
Come on, how many decades will it take for anything they're giving away to become as valuable as the first year rare items? There are a couple dozen '03 items that will fetch millions of Gaia gold. Do you think anything offered today will be scarce enough or desirable enough to merit that price?
Let's see what they come up with. I guess that just giving the stuff away is easier on their servers and bandwidth than hosting yet another big event.

Jesus Christ Superstar, there's no pleasing some people.
They're giving away free items for your virtual paper doll and you're complaining that they won't have any fake gold resale value. I'm SO glad that I left Gaia forever years ago.

Who needs random crap for christmas when we get Peppy doing a totally unannounced visit! It is like Santa came over with a truck full of magical dust!
And whores.
EDIT - Also Grace! This is like a reunion. Of joy!

I don't really care if the items are ever worth anything. Hopefully they'll look good on my avatar, though. I like dressing up my virtual paper doll.

Peppy the Pirate (I'M NOT REALLY HERE. IGNORE ME.) Hi David, I promise I'll ignore your absence as much as you ignore updating Webcomics Are Awesome! Really. There is no satisfying everyone.

Wow, I can't even miss Webcomics are Awesome because someone branded it as adult content on the firewall software used at the coffee shop I'm sitting in writing this note. Naughty naughty David. That must be one hot potato of a comic you're producing.

Hey everybody, you can call me David instead of Dave! cool Uh, I guess you got me? I didn't honestly think anyone actually read that comic. Max Hass Wow, I can't even miss Webcomics are Awesome because someone branded it as adult content on the firewall software used at the coffee shop I'm sitting in writing this note. It's just dirty words! Maybe they have all of Comic Genesis blocked?

Hey, Peppy!
If you hate Gaia so much, why are you still here?
Also, I love your webcomic.

So, opinions on the 'adopt a gaian orphan' event?
I'm neutral on the situation, having fun pretending to care for the castaways.
Spoiler: The final item is the worthwhile one. And it doesn't take forever and a day to gather up the required effort.

The event was a bit glitchy earlier today, but it's fine now. The orphans are kinda cute in the absurd things they say. I also like that I can carol at the shops and help my orphan when necessary at the same time.
