Yeah, I'm trying to get them down.
I've been trying them for the last two days, with no luck at all. I've read an article on UG and watched a couple videos on YouTube that teach them. However, none of them helped at all. Anyone have any tips?
I don't know how, but yesterday when I was trying I got one.. Then without moving my fingers at all, I tried five more times and couldn't get them again.

It's all about how you position your thumb on the pick. I use really small jazz picks, and it's a little easier on those for me, but that's just me.

You're thumb shouldn't really be off the pick, but rather the knuckle on your thumb should be closer to the string. When you pick it should be more of an upward movement of your thumb than normal, that's what I do anyway.

I usually hold the pick about half a centimeter away from the edge of my thumb, and I pick right past my middle pick up.

You still have to find the "sweet spots" on the strings. It differs between your pickup configuration. In an HSH config, there's one right past the single (closer to the neck) that I like alot, and there's one almost exact opposite it on the other side.

A good string to practice on is the 3rd string. Somewhere between the 8th and 12th frets. You get a real good sqeal out of those smile

I hope that helped... xD
It's alot harder to explain over the internet... ;^^

1. Do what Zei said, but also try:

picking where your 24th fret is/would be. using a bit of flesh and the side of the pick, you might be able to nail the harmonic on the 24th fret give or take a bit.

If you're having trouble hitting the pinch harmonic, try moving your picking up the string and then back down. use the same motion, with a bit of flesh, but go from the bridge of your guitar to the point where your hands meet. don't move your left hand, but just keep working your right up and down the string.

Practice a little every day and you'll get it soon enough.

It is hard to explain with just words. For some reason, I was able to do them almost right away. Just make sure ur holding the pick right is all I can tell you to do that hasn't been said.

one way to figure it out is to pick the string in different ways till ya find it . I notice picking hard helps me . Cause am doin it at a weird way that allows me to hit and harmonic easier . Plus find the sweet spots too (the place where your pickin like the over the neck pickup or what not ) , dont forget that ^_^
