The female closed her eyes for a moment, the baskets were taking up her time. She couldn't imagine when the little rebels came out of their baskets. She loved them to death, but she needed a day off and Blais was happy to take them. Though she didn't know if she was going to give him a choice. The female was quite tired, she hadn't gotten a lot of sleep the last few nights. She had already caught up, she was just going past fuel so losing a couple hours wouldn't bug her...she hoped.
Her tail flickered as she let the winter breeze cool her off from a brief run that made her catch a sweat. She was trying to lose the baby fat. It was going to take more than one run...

Not far from the female stood yet another mother, and her pink body was extremely noticeable compared to the gray surroundings. The perky mare was having similar thoughts as Cynara, and decided to take a relaxing walk while Hesperos stayed with the children. The days had been long and tedious, and basket watching was more exhausting then Ghost had thought! She was both excited and nervous for what would happen when they actually came out!
With a light sigh, her ears flicked as she thought she heard another around her, and it was a few seconds later when she noticed a black mare in the distance. Ghost smiled at the new sight in front of her, and decided to walk over in a friendly manner. "Hello there!" she then called out, while trudging on the dusty ground. It was nice to see something moving, since her children hadn't come out yet!

Her ears flickered she heard her before she scented her...how odd. She let herself yawn before opening her eyes to see whom she was getting greeted by. She smiled softly to the other mare before getting to her hooves. The mare was quite pretty, an assortment of colors with dark black flutter wings yet she also identified as a unicorn. Interesting mix, she would say.
"Hi," she called out to her. She was also happy to see a new face. She would never intentionally turn down a conversation. Plus the mare looked as if she had a lot to say, and if she were interested Cynara probably had a lot to say as well.

Ghost continued to smile as she approached the mare, and she lowered her ears in embarrassment once she was close enough to speak. "I hope I wasn't interrupting your rest? You can stay comfortably on the ground if you'd like." With lowered eyes, she curled her tail around her leg before pondering the female's expression. It didn't SEEM as though she had intruded or bothered her, but she just wanted to make sure. Being polite was important to her, afterall!
With a breath of air, Ghost then compelled herself to continue speaking, even though she was sort of embarrassed. "How are you this fine day?" The flutter was busy watching the other mare's beautiful eyes, since they were a pretty shade of green. It made it easy for her to look her straight on. Green was a color that Ghost just loved, and she was envious in a sense.

"No not at all," she smiled generously. "Glad for a bit of company actually." her ears flickered to the mare, "I was just doing a bit of catch up, not really quite used to the whole mothering thing and staying up all night comferting sneazing and snoring baskets." she laughed softly.
"I'm good, it's refreshing." the mare's emerald orbs blinked, she liked to keep eye contact but she felt as if the mare were contemplating them. She didn't mind. Cynara was of the earthen colors and this other female clearly wasn't. She was fascinated by unearthen colors though her mate wasn't she didn't mind him. She didn't have to be fascinated if she loved him. The thought made her laugh inside. "I'm Cynara." she replied introducing herself.

Ghost was extremely thankful for the mare's generosity, and she crept closer while grinning excitedly. This mare was also a mother? How fun was that! "I so understand that, Cynara. I am also a mother, who has been sitting and watching baskets all day, everyday." With a laugh, she was giggly at how true the statement was. "And I'm Ghost by the way, it is nice to meet you." She lowered her head for a moment, and bowed in a kindly manner. There was so much they could connect on, and Ghost was excited to ask Cynara more.
"I am also thankful for some chatting time, since having children is so tedious.. how many children do you have in baskets?" Ghost had heard that there were all sorts of number combinations, and she was compelled to find out more. "Are you excited for your children to come out? I know I am! I wait around everyday, hoping that I can see their smiling faces." Would it be boys? Girls? Or both? Ghost just couldn't stand waiting!

Cynara laughed, "I know!" she gave a rather exasperated look, "It's like sometimes they know when your watching and it's like they intentionally move as if they're going to come out and then your just bummed out for awhile." she smiled. "Pleasure to meet you too."
She started thinking of her little darlings, "I have three." She giggled again, "I think tedious is an understatement." she teased slightly. "How rare was it to find another mother, well new mother. Perhaps the conversation would go along more smoothly now. "I have my mate, Blais watching them now. It's mommy's day off. After I've had them for so many months." she winked. "How many do you have?" she asked curiously.

"I wonder if it is a game to them, where they are not coming out on purpose." She then said, with a slight giggle. "I don't really remember if I was like that, but it seems like something I would do." It was nostalgic when she thought about it, since her family was so important to her. She just wanted to continue the same dream that her parents had.
"Ah, three baskets? Same for me! You and I are going to be very busy soon." She then gleed, while thinking about her own stallion who was probably bored without her there. "It is also my day off, though Hesperos has been very kind and usually sits with me. Knowing him though.. he is probably watching them like a hawk." Hesperos was predictable like that, since he was such a worrywart. "Are you hoping for daughters, sons, or both? It really is exciting when you try and muster it all together."

"It really doesn't matter to me," she smiled gratefully. Her eyes widened. "We should set up a play date sometime when they do decide to come out." she thought the idea was cute and good for the foals to meet a new friend. Being social was rather important, she thought. No one likes a humbug.

"That is good to hear." Ghost then said, while nodding her head. "And I think a play date would be great, I want my children to meets lots of other children and make friends! My parents did the same for me, and I always thanked them for it." Since it opened up Ghost's worldly views and such. "It won't be as hard to watch the children then, since we will have more eyes then just our own!" And THAT would definitely be helpful!
