Haruko was curled up in a clearing of the forest, surrounded only by the long grass and cool, fall wind that kept blowing by. She shivered and tried to curl up even tighter. A small whimper escaped her. Fall was always such a bitter season. Spring was her favorite holiday. "I miss the flowers..." she whined and closed her eyes tightly. "And my friend..." Things were too quiet for her liking and Haruko hated being lonely and there had only been one person she could think of who ever had stuck by her stide, besides a certain fatherly figure of an elder. "Naboo...."

Nabooro passed by through the woods. He didn't want to leave Haruko alone for too long so he scurried through between the trees quickly picking up fruit. He sniffed the air and picked up her scent. He followed her trail and at the end ended up right in front of her dropping the fruit from his mouth. He looked down on her and smiled, "Guess what I brought you?"

Haruko perked up as soon as she heard Nabooro's voice. "Naboo!" She cried happily and stood up. She playfully tackled the other to the ground, acting as if she hadn't seen him in ages. "That's so sweet. Thank you." She said and nuzzled the other, trying to get a bit warm. "It's so cold tonight..."

Nabooro giggled and nibbled her ears lightly. It was as though she hadn't seen him in years, well how could he blame her, he yearned to see her just as much. Cuddling with her he started ripping the ripe fruit apart. "Yumm, you know these purple fruits are my favorite. When I was younger and wouldn't come out of my hole these fruit would just fall in and woop, I ate dozens every day"

Haruko watched him rip the fruit apart with a happy smile on her face. She cuddled close to him, as if she feared he would disappear if she let go. "Really? That must of been nice. I had this big elder who helped get me food for a while. He was never really my father, but.... he was the closest thing I ever had to a parent after I lost my real ones." She looked down at the fruit thoughtfully. "Naboo... why didn't you come out of your whole?" She asked, curiously, wondering if he had a story behind it.

He smiled at her with fruit in his teeth. "There was no reason, actually I was just a child that didn't know what he wanted. I have vague memories of my parents arguing if I had a depression or a mental illness" He giggled. "I'd reaaly like to meet this elder of yours." He nuzzled her.

"Your parents were weird. You seem prefectly fine to me." Haruko giggled and took a bite of the sweet fruit. Her tail wagged happily behind her as she discovered what a nice taste it had. If she was an actualy pup she would of been yipping happily. "I would like you to meet him too, but I lost track of him. He might have his very own family and everything now. He always did seem like the type that would want to settle down and have a couple of pups." She took another bite of the fruit, trying to imagine the bunny elder's pups. His kids would look adorable for sure...

Giggles some more and grins at Haruko who's muzzle was full of juice. "I almost found my mother once, they thought they'd leave me in the den. I can't blame them, and I don't..." Then he got up abruptly, "How about we go find this elder, at least some day, I know it would mean much to you!" Nabooro stood proudly very near to his girlfriend.

"I see. Well at least your parents didn't mean to leave you.." She forced the smile to remain on her face. It still hurt to know her parents had left her on purpose. She had denied it for so long, but eventually came to deal with the cold facts. She looked up at Naboo and blushed. "Ah, Naboo, that would be wonderful, but it's impossible. It's been so long and the forest is so big. He could be anywhere now. He might of left the forest too..." Her voice turned to a whisper. "I've heard of elders doing that.... some never come back."

Naboo felt Haruko's voice becoming more tense, "Hey don't worry," he leaned into her for a snuggle, "And it's nonsense, no one leaves the forest... what for?" He walked around picking up another fruit, "If ever I see him though, any day, I'll come and get you..." He grinned, "if you're not with me already" He stuck his tongue out teasing her.

Haruko giggled again and nuzzled the other gently. "There's a 99% chance of me being around. Were barely ever apart." She snuggled into the male, feeling comfortable. "I don't know. I just heard that some elders did that. I've heard many rumors about elders. There so different and mysterious. I never realized it when I was a pup and I had been around one for a long while back then." A gently sigh escaped her. "I guess I was just too caught up in my stories..."

He had his eyes laid on her gently, "Which stories are you talking about? When I was a pup I kept telling myself stories." He brushed against her and jumped in front of her excitedly, "And one time I saw a grasshopper, jumping, jumping, all alone, not knowing where he was going. I practically followed him all day and I told myself it was probably the a living key to a treasure, a hidden treasure, and by the time I wen to catch it, it fell in a stream and a small fish ate it, one leg at a time-" Naboo grimaced and giggled anticipating to see Haru's reaction.

Haruko blinked and let out a soft giggle, though she felt bad for the poor bug. "Poor, little, thing... " She wagged her tail behind her and looked up at Nabooro since she was laying down on the ground. "When I was a pup I liked to make up stories about my parents. Mostly so it didn't seem like they left me behind. I had a hard time getting over them...." She looked away for a moment and her ears folded down. "For a while I was really lonely..."

Nabooro knew his childhood was pretty lonely, he had sensed Haruko's had been aswell, plus she let him know subtly at times but he never knew that his presence in her life was revolutionary. "Oh Haruko..." He lay beside her almost overlapping onto her just to be closer. "You shouldn't have needed to invent stories about your parents... Why did you try to hide it? I made up stories for the fun of it, you would have found yourself so much more in that" He nuzzled her.

Haruko sighed and tried to nuzzle even more into Nabooro. Tears seemed to prickle at her eyes. "I was just a pup when these three other pups would come and make fun of me about not having parents. I wanted them to stop so bad that I started to make up stories about them. I made them seem like heroes. They stopped and always came to me to hear more, but... after I grew up more they soon left me too." She closed her eyes, trying to keep the tears away. "I was alone till I met you..."
