It has been noticed that more and more people have started to argue and fight more and more within the charity thread. Though others find this an acceptable means to rid n00bs from coming back, this isn't how the Flowers of Japan are suppose to behave. We have even been having arguements among the Flowers themselves with abusive name calling.
This is to be a guideline of how the Flowers are suppose to act. This was how I was greeted a year ago when I first sought out my Inner Fire Kimono.
We Flowers are to be compassionate to those around us within the threads and guild. We have to have feelings for people because that is how others feel welcome.
We are also to be understanding. We have to know that people do make mistakes and can be easily fixed.
We are to be more forgiving than normal. People change over time and the past is to remain in the past. We aren't to be the ones who judge others.
We are to have more patience than others. Sometimes, people aren't as quick to learn and need a guiding hand in matters and the internet connections all differ between users.
This is just a small list that I have noticed is lacking in the last few months. Though our ultimate goal is to help Gaians get their Kimonos and Yukatas, our sub-goal is to make a smaller community that's family and friends oriented. Sadly, I haven't seen that happening as often. We are too comfortable with our close nit friends and forget to accept all of those around us.
Flowers, let's make this be our goal.

May I say something?
Remember that time, not too long ago, I got into a fight with someone and then everyone was against everyone? :/ And then we resolved it by saying sorry?
I'll post the link, to refresh your memory a little bit.
Click this Link if you want to know what happened.
I was serious then, and I'm being serious now.
If you're wondering why I haven't been stopping the fights? Let's put it this way, You want to fight, go ahead and do so. Although if you bring in any others that had nothing to do anything with, that's where the line is. To put it simply, it's actually one of two reasons. o_o 1) I like watching it and laughing at some of the stupid petty arguments you people get over... 2) Figured you people would be more civilized.
Guess I was wrong.
Oh. And Midnight_Eyes is my best friend who sent the screen capture to me the other day. >_<; So, don't... really worry about the whole politican lawyer thingeh.

I posted this because I have become very disappointed in the way FoJ has been behaving. This is the main reason why we have been losing more and more people from the thread and guild. Yes, fighting doesn't need to take place in the forum, but we are not showing the proper behavior when we address things. The stare emoticon is not the most friendly one to be using when trying to point out a mistake.
Yes, it does get annoying to repeatedly direct people, but that's where those four points come into play. I want to see FoJ back at being one of the best charities we've always been.

FoJ has been wonderful back when I first joined. It still is, but lately, yeah...people are getting too PC, highly opinionated, somewhat elitist, and overreact much; it scare others away and sometimes stop people from posting as themselves. Sure it can get rid of 'n00bs' but it's not a very open-minded approach...just let other people be themselves, let them have their own ideas about different topics.
Respect- understand that not everyone grew up the same way you did, or even see things the same way you do. We all have our differences, our weaknesses and strengths and it's always not a good idea to tear other people down for what you see isn't good enough in your eyes...remember too that this is the net...it's sometimes hard for other people to see whether or not you're being sarcastic if they can't literally see you smirk. So it's always best to be kind and courteous- especially with those you don't know too well yet to be sarcastic with.
...and discussions are well and good, but when you go overboard like you want to 'reform' the other person to make them see things 'your' way or have them act the way you want them too, then it starts getting bad...and somewhat 'cliquish' sweatdrop
I'm writing all this 'cause I felt like I got 'burned' that one night in FoJ 'cause I was too naive about this one topic..Naive 'cause I don't watch much television 'cause for me, it's depressing what they show now these days...Korean films and Stephen Chow movies are much more fun ^^. Anyway, that was the first time I ever felt really bad about being at FoJ 'cause most other times, I've always felt welcomed and accepted. I've been watching this sorta thing happen to other people too...mostly the newbies... and it's definitely not good ninja

Well, the main reason why I posted this was because it's easier to be calm and polite. It's in the TOS and rules and guidelines of Gaia that if someone asks you to remove yourself from a thread, that it should be obeyed. So if anyone from FoJ were to ask a n00b to remove himself from the thread and he/she continues on, then the person should be reported to a mod. 3nodding Then you don't get in trouble for you behavior and the other gets in trouble for not doing as asked. If all else fails, report the offender to a mod.

ninja people are fighting? Sounds like something I would typically see in the chatterbox...I agree on both sides of the issue.....While I think people should be respectful to eachother on the internet, I DO find it amusing when people try to anger eachother....I've been angered once since I've been on gaia...it only took me that one time to realize how ridiculous it was! xd Now when people try to antogonize me or irritate me, I just get amused blaugh And it's funny seeing other people get such hot heads over something they read in an anime orientated forum website (of course I like this site, or else I wouldn't be on here! So this isn't a statement to imply that a site such as gaia is stupid).....I think the best piece of advice to give people, is that half the time, the person that you are arguing or angry with, most likely hasn't even seen what you really look like, or know what kind of person you are (having based all that they know of you on a few posts... rofl )(run on sentence.....)Once you realize that, it really is quite amusing...

I have to admit that this was the best e-mail I've gotten in awhile from my AOL guild leader. Advocate Epiphany While I was sitting around the pub the other day it was suddenly brought to my attention that there was snow outside! When it had started snowing, I have no idea, but when I saw it falling outside the windows and people started tracking it indoors, I was thankful that I was wearing warm clothing. Some of the people I saw made me wonder. Please, don't put on a short skirt, or go walking around outside without a shirt on then complain about being cold. I'd be cold too if I walked around half dressed! Use some common sense, unless you have some type of magical resistance to the cold and won't end up suffering from hypothermia, then I suggest you wear something warm when going outdoors. If you don't have any warm clothing come see me and we will find you something to wear. Next - grow up. Come on people, you're not twelve years old. In fact, I'm willing to bet that all of you are older than me and yet a handful of you run around like chickens with your heads cut off crying because someone forgot to tell you 'hello'. You want someone to speak to you, to pay you some attention, why don't you go and talk to them? It's not going to cost you anything to take a few moments of your time and speak to that person. And if they don't answer you right away maybe there was a reason. Maybe they didn't see or hear you? It's nothing to get upset over.
