Transformers 2 IS in production, with Michael Bay as Director and Steven Spielberg as executive producer (thank god, primus and chuck norris)
Shia LaBeuof, Megan Fox, and Peter Cullan, ARE going to be in, and for possible new Transformers, Bay has expressed intrest in "an Aircraft Carrier character" the Dinobots, Constructicons(minus Bonecrusher of course) and Soundwave. Ehren Kruger was hired to write the script along with returning Roberto Oric and Alex Kurtzman, however..... the script as of now is only half way done due to the 07 Writers Guild Of America Strike, but filming is expected to take place in June 08.

Which means sometime in '10 or '11..depending on how long it takes to CGI or whatever, those Transformers in.

Around 3 years though...seems so long, but I am sure (hoping) it will be worth the wait.

I heard that the release date is set for 09.
As stated before, the WGA's strike may have thrown a wrench in that though.

This new movie better focus more on the Transformers since this movie should be about them.

I can only hope that the writers (post-strike) will listen to the fans and viewers of the film to correct the major problems of the film. So far the utter lack of TFs, and the complete filth layered on the male and female lead (epically the latter).

Dinobots all the way. But you know I just realize how short sighted Michael Bay's thoughts are. If he had planned ahead he won't have screwed over Devastator and end up using Bonecrusher's name! That stupid fool.
He better not screw over the Dinobots's names or I would be so pissed.
