I hate to bring the Couch down, but several of you already know by now, and I consider you all family--my younger brother passed away this morning, he would have been 26 on Christmas Eve.
Needless to say the family is distraught and I don't know how much I am going to have to do to keep things going back at home. I'm going to try to be here and on the other Couches as much as possible, but with my family taking up so much of my time, and my friends forcing me to not be "alone" (how one can be alone with Couchers is beyond me, but they just don't understand), I'll probably be around just as much as I have been of late.
I do want to say right here and now thank you all in advance for all the condolences and well-wishes I know will be in all your hearts, from me and my family. Like I said, I consider you guys just as much family as many of my real life friends, and I knew that I have just as good a support system here as anywhere.

Thanks, many many thanks to all of you.
I'm finally back at my apartment; we waked and buried Billy Monday and Tuesday. As hard as it was, I had a ton of friends there, and all of his friends turned out in droves--it was wonderful seeing them all and reminiscing.
Last night I went to a Holiday Party with some friends and got pleasantly drunk, to the point where I needed to be helped up the stairs to my apartment--it was just what I needed. I slept most of today, but may need one more day off, I'll have to see how I feel in the morning.

Thanks again to all of you for your warm wishes and love.
I got this on Saturday. It's my brother's name, Billy, in Tengwar--the elvish language J.R.R. Tolkein created for Lord of the Rings. Bill was a big fan of those movies, so I felt it was appropriate. I got it done on my back, right between my shoulder blades, below my shirt collar.
