What are some games/series people give tons of praise and call "the greatest game/series ever" only to play it/buy it/check it out and end up not really liking it or any of them?

Metal Gear Solid.
It's not that I hated it, just couldn't get around to actually liking it much.
Crotch jokes were fun.
At least I hope they were crotch jokes.....

Legend of Zelda games come to mind, as do Final Fantasy titles and one of the more recent examples being Orange Box.

Halo, Wii Fit, and Mario Galaxy. I don't play any of them. In fact, I actually want Galaxy, I just want the swarms of fantards/Wii Fit junkies out of my Interwebs/stores.
Also, I want Mario Party 8, I'm just afraid that the series is becoming like all those football games that get a game every year. I swear, two years from now, they're poised to start including the year in their titles.

Final Fantasy X
Bioshock
I wouldn't say any of these are bad, either...just not my cup of tea. Bioshock in particular had a lot of great ideas and stuff, but I just wasn't interested.
