It's that time of year again... and with this time of year comes all sorts of new must see movies in the movie theaters!
So now I'm wondering... what are you guys planning to see?
I'm definitely planning on seeing Enchanted and Sweeney Todd (I'm a little scared of this one though... Johnny Depp... singing?)
I'm also debating on whether I should see Golden Compass or not, though I think that depends on whether or not I like the book which I've yet to read.

I agree about The Golden Compass, I've never actually read the book though lots of people think it's amazing. It irks me that they've called it The Golden Compass as opposed to Northern Lights, and that puts me off, because it's as though they're trying to make it sound more action-y, kind of like when they changed the first Harry Potter from "philosopher's stone" to "sorcerer's stone" in some places.
I don't think I'll see Enchanted; it doesn't seem like my sort of thing. I'd contemplate seeing Sweeney Todd, though I doubt I'd have anyone to see it with. Plus I hate the hairdresser's enough as it is. xp As far as I know, there's very little on in cinema's at the moment that I really want to see. sweatdrop

I am planning on seeing The Golden Compass. I read the book and loved it. Hopefully Hollywood doesn't completely destroy it.
Sweeny Todd looks interesting. I am only planning on seeing it because Alan Rickman is it.
I would like to see Hitman. I don't know it that counts as a holiday movie being as it came out a week ago? I would still like to see it. I loved the game, but it's another movie that Hollywood could destroy. So I am still deciding if I should spend my money on it.

Never played the game, though I think I've heard relatively good reviews on that movie from some gamers.
I pretty much think any movie that comes out in November and December qualifies as a holiday season movie. After all, if the November movies are popular they gonna stay in theaters all throughout the holidays, no? xp

I understand they are doing a prequel, but the actor just looks so young. Maybe it's just me, but the older, more mature looking agent as seen in the games looks so much more refined. Not that that's going to greatly impact the story, but it's like how The Young Indiana Jones Adventures just wasn't as good, because everyone liked and was used to the aged, rugged look of Harrison Ford.

A prequel you say? I have not heard of this. Interesting. I quite agree about the older, more refined comment.

Enchanted: Nah. Not into the fairy-tale romance thing, and from what I've read of the plot, I'd probably end up rolling my eyes through half of it and gagging through the other half.
Sweeny Todd: I saw the preview for this when I went to see Beowulf (which was not any good, believe me. Once you read the Epic, Hollywood just can't keep up.) and it scared me half to death. I think I was dazed for a good thirty seconds after that preview.
Golden Compass: Dunno. I read the books, didn't like them much...Can't imagine what Hollywood might do. Possibility. Depends...
I don't know of any others coming out.

I am very excited about seeing Sweeney Todd. Enchanted seems like it will be fun. I mean Disney making fun of itself? THAT is awesome. Golden Compass, yes, because everybody in my Lit class were talking about and got me interested.

I think I'm going to go see Mr. Magorian's Emporium and Todd Sweeney. Both look like good movies.

I've got a friend who I sneek into the movies every month (her family's super-religious and won't let her go...so we skip one of our weekly math tutoring and go see something), and this month we just can't seem to agree...(her, me)
I Am Legend?
No...Golden Compass?
Nah, they probably just screwed it up.
Okay then...what about Enchanted?
NO CHANCE IN HELL.
Fine...what's left?
Todd Sweeney?
Maybe...you know what that's rated? You don't turn 17 for another four months.
I haven't got a clue...when's National Treasure come out?
Not till the end of the month.
F#@*
So...yeah, still gotta look up what Todd Sweeney's rated (I'll probably see it anyway, I'm already 17, but it doesn't hurt to check...)

Enchanted looks cute. I would like to see it.
The Chipmunks annoying me (it's the way they talk) so I doubt I will see that movie.
