 The mother to be, was needless to say, nervous. Her mother had tried comforting her, and it helped somewhat, but Sadie was still...on edge.
She was now curled up by the pond. She was confused, she was scared and she felt really really alone. Which was sortof like a cruel irony given how large her family was. Why couldnt things be simpler? It seemed like just yesterday she was playing Eru, chasing butterflies or something like that....

 Pika slowly made his way towards the pond, a look of nervousness clearly on his Kitsu face. He had told his family what was going on, and while they were happy for the new additions coming to the two families, they were disappointed in him at not being at Sadie's side and scolded him for it.
His large ears were drooped down, his head hanging a little and his tails dragging behind him limply. It wasn't that he didn't want these eggs with her, it was just he didn't know what to do now. Would she hate him? Would she take their children and make sure he never saw them again? He wished he could talk to somone about it, he was so confused. He rustled the bushes around the pond and stepped on through the foliage.

Sadie heard the bushes rustling, but she just lied her head sideways on her paw, glancing towards them with her bright green eyes. She saw Pika emerge, and a surge of mixed feelings swept over her. Should she run from the man who did this and then just, disappeared. Should she attack him, take her frustrations out on him. Does he deserve these blessings growing within her. She sighed, feeling too defeated to do any of the thoughts that swarmed her mind.
She watched him, her own ears drooped down. Sadie wished her mother were here, or great grandpa Sev, he was a strong man, and would know what to do. But Sadie. Sadie just watched him, wondering what, he would do. Would he approach, or run like before?

Pika didn't notice Sadie at first, too preoccupied with his thoughts and he went straight to the water and flopped down, staring down at his reflection. But when he caught the scent of another, his ears perked up and he opened up his eyes, turning his head a bit to see who it could be, finding the scent familiar, yet still stranger to him. His head popped up with a start at seeing it was Sadie, and he became happy, nervous, confused, and terrified all at once.
Before, he would have gotten up and ran off, but he knew better, especially if his family found out, then he would never hear the end of it. Sighing a bit, he slowly got up and approached her, his head down low as he checked her over to make sure she was ok. Finally he sat close to her, but not too close where she wouldn't be uncomfortable, "I.....I guess we need to talk..." he said softly.

Sadie watched Pika, watched him notice her, watched the emotions filter over his features. She pushed herself to a sitting position, when he took a spot beside her. She smiled softly, and nodded "Yeah....i guess we should" she sighed, feeling tired, but not. It was a strange sensation.
Padding over to Pika, she sat beside him, and leaned her head on his shoulder. She didnt even think about if it made him uncomfortable, or mis-lead him. It was a simple thing that drove her actions, more of her body moving on its own. "What are we going to Pika?" she asked in a soft voice, unlike her normal perky, loud hyper self.

Pika blushed lightly when he felt her head on his shoulder, but he pushed it down and gently nuzzled the top of her head, "Well....I don't feel or even think what happened is a bad thing, but it did and I don't want to change it. I mean...what would make you happy Sadie?" he asked softly, his three tails flicking about.

Sadie sighed softly. What did she want? "Well, i know i dont regret this. Even though it was kindof a surprise" she said with a soft smile. "And, i think this is a good thing...Dont you?" she asked, tilting her head up a bit to meet his eyes, but never leaving his shoulder. She needed contact right now, to remind her she wasnt alone in this.

Pika looked down at her and nodded his head, a reassuring smile on his face, "Of course it's a good thing! I guess...we can find a way to work it out....between us....if you think that will be good..." he said. He did, desperately, want to be part of their kit's lives and he would be willing to try to make a relationship work with them both, new and sudden as it may seem.

Sadie nodded softly, her mind reeling with the possibilities and scenarios that could happen. "I think....i mean...we should get to know each other right?" She'd love to make it work with Pika, but she couldnt help but wonder if it might be just because of the coming eggs. Could it work? What if they were too different.
"i just...want it to be for the right reasons...." she whispered softly

Pika looked a bit nervous, but it was normal to feel that way, right? He knew that female Kitsu's could either have their eggs very quickly or they could carry them for a very long time. "Y-yea...it will be for the right reasons!" he said.

Sadie smiled softly, and nodded her head. "I just...hope it works out you know?" she fidgeted with one of her tails "What if we're going to try and make this work, for the wrong reasons?" that scared her the most. "What if we're not compatable"

Sadie nodded lightly, and shifted her weight. She wasnt used to being big. "i'm just....i'm scared" she said in a soft voice, barely audible. She wasnt like her mom, she didnt have an indomitable spirit and possitive out look. Yes she had her mothers unrelenting supply of energy, and she was usually happy, but right now...right now she was confused.

Pika kept quiet for a moment, a confused and scared look in his eyes, "....so am I..." he said softly, his ears drooping. He never felt this way before, usually he was happy-go lucky, hanging out with his best buddies, but now...now things were different.

Sadie sighed. She felt horrible. Well...more then normal. She felt like she'd ruined his life. Her ears drooped as well, and flopped down, lightly, on her side, and covered her head with her paws. She grumbled and groaned.
