Tobi was walking down the street in Durem, hands shoved deep into his baggy jeans pocket. His mum was rushing around doing some late christmas shopping... The joy's... "What do you think of this?" Kat enquiered pausing at a stall and holding up a dark blue sweater with little wolf-cubs paterned on it. "MUM!" Tobi blushed and tried to get away from the crazy person who he now wished he didn't know. "Ok ok. Shesh. I was only tryin- Ohh would you look at that!" She rushed off to another stall. This one full of ornaments an things that jingled and sparkled.
Tobi hung his head in embarasment. He -never- wanted to go shopping with her again! In his pocket his hand clutched at the piece of paper he'd writen his little list on, he pulled it out and read it. There was basically nothing on it but what his mum wanted for christmas, and something for his pets.
Saddly Tobi sighed and glared at his mum. They'd been so busy with everything that he'd never gotten out of the house to make friends... That and home schooling- Which he gladly added- was coming to an end as Uncle Almi got him into school. "Away from your mothers clutches" he repeated aloud to himself.
He tore his eyes from his paper and looked around... Pet store around here somewhere.. He needed a play toy for Star the dragonfly.. Something for his two dragons.. And -what- do you get a demonic Wolf?! He shook his head and ramed his hand back into his pocket, kicking absently at a rock.

Ah, the joys of Christmas Shopping. The crowds, the rush, the lack of anything in stock that you really needed...
Luna sighed as she peered at her list again, attempting to stay put while the crowds tried to trample her. At least it wasn't so bad out here in the open - she'd heard from her older sister that going to the malls during this time of the year was akin to suicide. Now, next on the list was... ah hah! Her head snapped up as she started to move purposely towards one of the stores.
Of course, she was so focused in her goal, she wasn't exactly looking where she was going... until a rock hit her in the leg. She stopped abruptly, scanning the crowds to see who had kicked that painful object.

Tobi heard the rock go "Thud" into someone. He looked up, just infront of him was a.. Girl? She was all grey and she looked kinda cool, compared to his waxy coloured skin and pale blue hair.. And she atleast dressed normal. He glanced down at his one brown one black shoe- The only ones he could find in his bomb tip of a room- His baggy blue jeans, and red and green checkered shirt. He hurried up to her with a grimce, "I'm sorry! I-didn-tmean-to-hit-you-with-the-rock." He said fast in an way of apology. He peered closely at her face, she was rather pretty, "It didn't hurt you did it?" He said biting his lip. He hadn't ment for the rock to hit anyone... But I guess you learn from your mistakes.. Right?

Luna had the hurt leg curled up against her so she could rub at the sore spot. She made a rueful look as a rather mismatched boy hurried up to her to apologize. "It's a bit sore, but I suppose I'll manage." She inwardly sighed as he mentioned learning from your mistakes and took a moment to rub her leg some more before answering "Yeah, I guess you do learn from you mistakes... it's just better if you learn some things from someone else's mistakes, no?" She managed a small, rather timid-looking grin as she gently and cautiously placed her foot back down on the ground and slowly placed her full weight on it. At least it didn't hurt as much now. She settled into a more normal stance before she eyed him better. Why did he feel so... familiar? It was a nagging sensation she couldn't shake, yet so far in the background it was hard to pinpoint. Her older sister had said something once about being able to tell if someone near you was also a scroll child...
Wait. A scroll child? Like her?
"Say," she started abruptly, "You wouldn't happened to have been unsealed from a scroll recently, would you?"

Tobi relaxed a little, "Thats good. I was really worried for a second then.." He laughed, "Yeah, but unfortuantly I wouldn't have learned..." He looked down at her leg. "I'd have a big indent if that had hit me a a weird tingly feeling." He shrugged.
"Scroll?" He eyed her. She 'felt' almost like he knew here... Or.. Something.. Like he'd always known her... Odd... "Yeah I did.. I was a wax scroll. Were you?" He enquierd head slightly tilted.
Then he realised, "Oh sorry I forgot something." He held out his hand, 'I'm Tobi."

Ahhh... She was right! He did come from a scroll!
She reached her hand out to shake his as she answered, "My scroll is Moon. Name's Luna." She released his hand as she took a quick look around before turning again to blink at Tobi. Wasn't he a tad bit young to be going around on his own without his guardian around? Her next question was hesitant. "Where's your... parents?" She thought that saying guardian sounded callous, and she wasn't sure if he had two parents or just one, or even what gender his guardian (or guardians) were.
Well, she could just stick with him until he was with his guardian again. Hopefully she'd do for a stand-in for awhile. After all, she had overheard something about one of the other scroll kids suffering from the lack of a guardian but she hadn't heard whether that was from a temporary lack or permanent. Not knowing worried her - what if she was kept away from her mother for any certain length of time? Would something like that happen to her? She absently nibbled on a thumbnail as she became lost in thought, a remnant of her toddler days.

Tobi grined. "Thats a nice name.. Does it stand for moon? I remember something about that from home schooling." He laughed. "Mum's good at it.. Well. I think?.. Do you go to school?"
He laughed at her question, and thrust his hand over his shoulder to the sparkly shop, just as Kat picked up a shinnie and said 'Ohhh'. "Thats her. The crazy looking one thats atrackted to anything shinie. It's ok. She say's I'll be fine because if I get trampled I'll just 'pop' back into my natural form." He giggled. "I gotta buy her a present but I don't know what to get her..." His voice trailed of in thought. "Hey your a girl, right? Can you help me find something?" He pulled out his crumpled scrap of paper that read By mum presient. By wolvf, 2 driagoons and and other randum aminals toys.
He grinned at her. "She's to busy trying to buy me some scary chritmas jumpers and things." He shuddered and hopped she'd understand his delema. "You with your mum?" He asked, not used to having 'two' parents. He'd never had a 'father' in his life unless you counted his uncles...

"I would assume it does, although my mom hasn't told me so far." She then blinked at the next thing. "Um, school? What's that? I stay at home most of the day." Actually, normally the only time she could go out was with her sister. It seemed something had happened before she was unsealed that scared her mom badly. Badly enough that she no longer let her older sister or her go out on their own. Of course, the only reason she was on her own now was...
Anyways, what had he been saying? She shifted her head to see where Tobi was pointing. "Ahhh..." Good to know she was near. Hold up; 'pop'? Her gaze went straight back to Tobi in surprise. The rock would have left a big indent, and he could 'pop' back into his natural form... "You can shapeshift? That's your ability?" Now there was a nifty ability. Much better than glowing.
She kinda missed what he said next but took the piece of paper from him and puzzled over it, even turning it upside down for a bit to try and read it better. "Trying to buy you christmas jumpers?" Her eyebrows rose. Wasn't she unsealed with a jumper? Why would those be scary? "Erm, actually I managed to get away from the house for awhile to goes christmas shopping on my own. Less chance of family knowing what you're getting them."
She finally turned her attention back to the paper. "'By mum' pres... presi... pres-ie-nt... present?" She held the paper closer to her face. "That's not how it's spelled... Oh! Buy mum - mom - present." She slowly worked it over. He wanted to buy his mom a present or two, maybe a wolf, two dragons, and other random animal toys? Well, best check than assume. She did lower her voice to make sure only Tobi could hear. "What's this mean by "wolf" and "2 dragons"? Are you getting stuffed animals in those forms, or do you actually have a wolf and/or two dragons living where you are, and want to get them presents?" Hopefully she had managed to get the wording right - it could be his spelling was so off he had meant something else entirely.

Laughing Tobi said, "Yeah, school's this place where you go to learn." He preaned, "It's kinda like going out for the day, but ending up in a BIG place full of kids, your age, younger and older. And I've been told that some of them are nasty. They bully you and things." He shruged. "Better then staying at home."
"Nah, I just... mold to fit into objects, or when things hit me I mold to fit the object... It's kinda annoying, really because when people hug me to hard it's... Well... Just imagin my mum, She's crazy right. She gives you really big strong hugs and in my case leaves arm prints, and I get like a thin part where she was squeezing me, and all of the bits she squeezed goes else where." He shuddered at the thought and grinned at her.
Tobi grimced. "Yeah, I'm no good at spelling. I guess that's why mums so glad to ship me off to school." He laughed at the memories of her getting frustrated and having to walk way. "But I needa find something for mum, and I got at home a wolf two dragons and a bunch of other pets." He made a face, "Mum keeps extending the house 'coz we keep running outa room.. Then again she doesn't stop buying pets." He sighed

((;>> Now when did Luna say out loud that she could glow? *ponders* Unless it's dark enough for him to see her glow...))
"OOOOoooooooohhh... That's what school is!" She pondered for a moment. "I think I'd rather stay at home for a while longer..." Bullies sounded nasty and she wanted to wait until she could deal with them before going.
Her eyes lit up when he said he could mold to fit any object. Hmmm... "If you wanted to, could you hold a mold?" Sounded like a neat way to get out of trouble - just look like something else and they couldn't find you! Although, come to think of it, it wasn't likely he could change colors to match... Hmmm...
Whoa. He did have two dragons and a wolf at home! Plus others too... She tried to imagine living with that many and could only get a hazy image in return. Erm, what did you get dragons? "You could try doggie squeak toys for the wolf I suppose... You can get those at any pet store." She didn't sound very certain about her idea, but it was worth a try. "Erm, do you know what to get a plant? My sister's a scroll child who had a plant on her scroll, so..."

Tobi nodded, "Yeah, School does sound scary. But I think it will be fun." He looked arquardly over his shoulder at his mum, and grimsed.
"I... I dunno.. I have tried..." Tobi thought in silence. Maybe that could be an experiment? he looked Luna over, and smiled, "That probably would be fun to try out one day.. Well.. Maybe I can learn to be 'solid' to. Because I miss hugs."
Tobi flinched at the thought of getting a squeek toy for Achthonian, "Uhh.. If I got her something like that.. She'd probably eat me. Soo.. Probably I'd get her.. Something eat-able?" He paused, "Plant? Some flowers? Something like that? If it was me I'd buy flowers. And its a girl. Mum likes flowers. So yeah?" He smiled hopefully. He really -did- want to be seen as useful.

Luna pondered the thought of getting flowers for her big sister. She originally thought about getting her older sister some of that stuff that was suppose to help plants grow, but she wasn't sure if any of that stuff would work on her plant-like sister. But flowers... They'd have to be potted flowers for sure - her sister would likely freak if they were the cut ones that had no roots... "I'm not sure what kind of flowers she'd like though... And I don't think they sell baby poison ivy plants either..."
Flinches were a bad sign. "Ok. So no squeak toys." Either a cranky wolf or one with more brains then the average wolf. "You could try something like a stuffed teddy bear, except for dogs-er, wolves." She didn't really know much about wolves, other than they seemed like dogs, just more wild and independent, so she was going off what one would get for a dog.

Tobi grinned, "Mum likes roses.. They are big and come in all kinds of colours with sharp pricks on them. They hurt." He sujested. "Mum has a cactus to... Poison Ivy? Whats that?" He cocked his head to the side. "I saw a Flower shop back down the street. They had potted plants and all sorts.. And some of the cut stem ones if you think she'd like them?" He tried to be polite.
"Uhhh, no. Ach wouldn't agree..." He disided to skip that part, "What about dragons? Mum said dragons like gold and shiney things like that?" He threw a curious gaze at Kat whom now had moved onto another 'shinies' store. Maybe she was a dragon? Tobi quickly looked back at Luna.

Luna winced at the suggestion of stem-cutted roses for her sister. "She'd likely cut me if I brought her cut anything plant-wise. She does have daggers of her own now, so she can do so." His mother had a cactus and he was wax? Oh, that had to be fun. What was poison ivy? Um... "Poison Ivy is... a kind of vine. It puts out oils that gives most people rashes to help protect it from being damaged or even eaten."
Ach? She assumed that was wolf's name. She allowed Tobi to skip that part so they could move on to dragons. "I dunno... Gold stuff is kinda expensive..." Shinies, however... "If by 'shinies' you mean something that sparkles, you could get some rocks or crystals..." Crystals... Hadn't she heard of a scroll kid who could mess with crystals? Now what was his name... Oh! "For crystals, come to think of it, you may try asking one of the other scroll kids about that. I hear he can mess with crystals and had a crystal on his scroll. Just be a tad careful - I think his guardian is a... a..." What was the word? "Drow? I think that's the word. A dark-skinned elf anyways from the sound of it... I think my sister has a crush on him..." The last part was more to herself than Tobi, but come to think of it... Her sister also mumbled something about them all being invited to go visit. Maybe she could bring Tobi with her?

((hehehe, sounds like fun xD))
Tobi shuddered, "That doesn't sound nice... I think I'll have to try look up on my plant stuffs, huh?"
"Yeah, gold expencive. But I dont think Mum's ever bought 'gold' for them.. She rather likes silver." He giggled at the thought of a purple Dragon with gold about it. Kaz would probably freak at the stuff. "There's a scroll kid that can make crystals?" Tobi's jaw dropped and had be been slightly shorter probably would have hit the floor. "And I know what a Drow is, they make dark magic and there skin can basically -never- touch sun light because they're not used to it. That and Elves dont like Drows that much.. Mum's a Elve... Or was.. I dunno about that, apparently they threw her out.." He shrugs and returns back to the thought of Drows, "I've never met one but I heard some of them are nasty and cruel. But mum says that some of them can be nice. I had to learn Elven history with mum." He shuddered at the memory.
