*Borrowed Description.. for now.*
Torment
After a bit of trial and error they arrive in what seems to be a large open canyon, just on the upper rim, looking out over a field of pillar-like rock formations with the sun setting far in the distance. Trees dotted the area and small critters could be heard in the area. There seemed to be nobody for miles and miles.

As the winds blew across the quiet dusty ground, the cracked earth shifted, smudging the freshly made footprints. Near the edge of the canyon sat Kalie, the voices of faces past filling her head. His warning to not lean so close, be careful you'll fall. Kalie please...

Closing her eyes she breathed deeply and watched the past reply itself in forgotten dances behind blind eyes.

Kalie's legs were hanging loosely over the side, absently kicking at drafts of air. Her posture generally skewed, as she was leaning back on her arms. She couldn't see precisely down if she were to open her eyes, but that had been on purpose. She had no desire to get a dizzy feeling in the pit of her stomach from looking straight down. Her view rose up from the bottom and collided with the sunset instead. The rocky peaks of formations that took years upon years to create creating an almost surreal feeling against the warm golds and reds of the setting sun.

((My image hates me x.x))

Instead of the impending cold that would soon ensure, a warmth filled the area near Kalie, Torment being the source, having just 'ported in from the house. It had been a day or so in the fields, but obviously not long here. He didn't say anything at first, mostly since she was on the edge, not exactly where he would prefered to find her, but he wasn't going to complain. Once noticed he'd move to sit next to her if she didn't get up.

After a while Kalie opened her eyes, noticing Torment with a start. The last memory she could remember sinking into the horizon with the setting sun. Craning her neck to look up, she waited for him to sit. "When did you get here?"

Tor shrugged as he moved to sit down, "Not long...haven't really paid too much attention, was mostly just watching you sit and watch the sunset." He glanced downward to the sloping edge of the walls that once again rose up into hoodoos further out. He moved a bit closer to Kalie to wrap an arm around her waist, "Such mixed memories of this place...they seem lifetimes ago, and more. So much since our last visit...and so much more between then and my last visit before that."

"My memory of this place isn't so bad." Kalie smiled, leaning into his arm. "It's still beautiful.." Her chin nuzzled up to Tor's shoulder. "Did everything work out for.. Cor-a" The name came gradually, and with an air of question in itself. Not sure if she remembered correctly or not.

Tor smiled and nodded slightly, "As for Cora and pops...well...its resolved. Where they go from here is a dilema only they can solve themselves." He smiled as he looked back down to her, "They'll be fine, I'm sure." He fell silent for a moment, as if awaiting a signal from the heavens, his eyes turning upwards as he spoke, "Yeah...not all bad. Though I suspect a beautiful sunset isn't why you're here."

While Tor was looking towards the heavens Kalie was looking in a less angelic direction, down. Torment had nailed it and she wasn't going to argue his assumption. "It- I didn't want to be in the house." She drew a breath the words failing her when she needed them most. She didn't want it to come out wrong.. but that was turning into a difficult feat. "It was cold." The last was said with detest, it was hard for her to admit something was cold and causing her pain at the same time.

Tor nodded in understanding, not saying anything at first, simply holding her close. He was watching the stars as they began to dot the sky, "I haven't been giving you the attention you deserve, and I'm sorry. It was hard to leave you and take Cora to pops... I should have at least left an image...I wasn't even thinking at the time."

Kalie sighed, shaking her head. "No, you were thinking. I didn't want an image. It's a copy, and nothing compared to the original." Wrapping her arms around his middle, Kalie hugged him lightly. Only enough for Tor to feel her own warmth. "You shouldn't apologize for something that isn't wrong either. The attention wasn't it. I just wish I understood better. Its difficult to watch you wake from a coma distraught as hell or even exhausted from god knows what, not knowing why or able to be there for you."

Tor shook his head as he looked away from the heavens, and away from her, "There aren't enough sorries on this earth to appologize for what I've done. I guess its fitting to return to this place to once more speak of ill things, and this time, it can't wait until the morn."

Kalie furrowed her brows, still not understanding. Why did he insist on apologizing? Her grip was actually beginning to tighten, part of her hoped Torment would give up if she hugged hard enough "stop."

His gaze was still off in the horizon, away from her, "I don't know if thats a good idea. If you want to understand my pain, I have to bare myself to you. Make amends for my sins. Fate punishes me, torments me even to this day. Different man, different love, different cause, but the blame remains the same. I'll stop apologizing, but I can't keep it from you...I've seen the pain of lies in the lives of my father and Cora. I don't want to lie by keeping it from you any longer."

"I do want you to tell me, just don't apologize unless it's needed. I love you Torment and always will regardless of what you've done." Pulling away she ran a finger down his jaw trying to draw his eyes to her. "At least look at me."
