Some time ago there was adoctor, who's name escapes me now, he had a bunch of terminally sick patients. Meaning they would never get better, theey would be in pain for the rest of their lives. These patients would often ask the doctor "Please kill me, end my pain" The doctor would see how sick these people were and would "Help" them die. Not long later he was convicted for murder and sentenced to either death or life in prison I forgot which one it was.
We spend hundreds upon thousands each year to buy the fluid used to put dogs, cats, horses, and oter animals to sleep. They claim it to be peaceful "Humane" way toend their pain. I understand when dogs are so sick with like cancer or some other horrible disease, but no they euthanize them in the shelter when the run out of room. If the shelter cannot afford to euthanize them , they are put into gas chambers where they die a slow painful death. This is also true with puppy mills.

The video above made me cry,it takes alot to get me to cry over a video.
The video below also made me cry

Now you tell me how murdering a dog is humane. Are animals any less important than our lives?

Dr. Kevorkian was his name.

Shelters are overrun with animals due to people buying puppies from breeders and from people refusing to spay/neuter animals.

Gas chambers aren't the norm. Injections, assuming they are done correctly, are painless. Shelters can't afford or take in animals because they simply don't have the room; while it's extremely sad, it's unrealistic because there aren't any options.

I don't believe non-human animals' lives are worth any less than ours.
That's why I don't eat meat, other animal products, or use any animal products.
It's pretty hypocritical though to value the life of a dog, but not the life of a cow, pig, chicken, or fish.

I believe it is humane with terminally ill animals to euthanize them.

In the case of the wonderful dog I owned, he had a cancerous tumor spreading in his lungs. He got to the point where he couldn't even climb up the five stairs to sleep on the bed with me. He would pace and drag his feet around at the bottom of the steps wailing and crying, and I swear to you it is the most dreadful sound in the world cry

I used to be against euthanizing pets, but I have to say I'm not now. Pets are different. You can tell a person that they are dying, but how can you look into your beloved animal's eyes and tell them why they are suffering? Maxy was laying in my dad's arms when we gave him the shot. He was asleep. No dog or any animal deserves to suffer on a deathbed just so we can enjoy them for a few more days.

If a shelter doesn't have room, it doesn't have room. Something has to be done. They hardly ever use gas chambers any more, as well- they use injections, which are painless. If you want to stop shelter animals from dying, then you need to go out and advocate spaying and neutering, or perhaps start a low-cost s/n clinic in your area. Posting videos online doesn't do much.

I do have to say...

Your vegan diet still hurts animals. Croplands force animals out of their homes, and harvesting machines kill hundreds if not thousands of mice, rats, moles, rabbits, and other small animals. There's no way you could eat anything at all and not harm animals.

Please don't try to make her feel bad about caring about a dog but not a cow, when you care about a cow but not a mouse.

If people gas or shoot a dog or something, I think its terrible. crying however, when people give injections they are painless and is probably one of the best ways to die. (like dying whilst ur asleep) So when people give dogs injections, I think it's medicine, but shooting or gassing i think is murder. That's why i didn't vote.
