To put this bluntly: I suck at PvP. With ANY class. I beat a gnome rogue as a human Paly at lower levels, but thats thanks to Perception. Mid to high-level PvP is murder for me. I can't even beat other players who're a few levels below me.
So here's my request: Please teach me how to kick a**! I play a BE Mage (in my sig) and a NE Rogue (level 63, 100% subt spec) as my two mains. Please give me any tips or advice you can so I can stand a better chance in BGs and Gurubashi! (i also want to join an arena team eventually)
Help me (re)spec, point me toward good gear, or give me fighting tips! anything that would help, please!

As a Mage, Any spec is technically good for PvP. How you apply it is a different story. And in terms of PvP, which one are you heading for? World PvP, Battle Ground PvP, or Arena PvP? As a rogue, 100% sub spec? Ew. Get out of that ASAP. Sub spec is pretty good, but not good enough to put all your talent points in. Tell me what you want to do (Stun, Combat damage, Instant damage, etc) and we'll direct you in the proper direction.

In BG's, a mage goes for more spell damage = best. That's simple enough. But in Arena, you focus more on survivablity than anything else. So when you reach 70, start saving up stuff that adds resilence and a buttload of stamina to keep your a** alive. instant damage, when I refer to a rogue is really old-fashion. (I doubt most people remember it.) But you go majority sub/assasination. That's when you rely on stealthing behind a foe and unleash critical ambush for massive damage and the like)

This is what I believe a fairly decent representation of a Premed/Cold Blood build. No.]http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fheco0xoZZE0ccGMR0xsxNo. Cold Blood/Prep tends to work better than Meditation because of two things: Improved Gouge Improved Slice and Dice Dagger rogues really need all the stun time they can get, especially to bandage against hard fights and to run away from the evil warriors from hell. Slice and Dice is required to put up big numbers. Premed is decent, but doesn't work as well with a Cold Blood build, especially for PvP. Vigor/Prep is good, as well. Master Of Deception is good, but I really like Camouflage, so that can be a hard choice. Also, no Lethality means you've just gimped your damage output by a lot. Dagger rogues rely a lot on getting big backstab/ambush crits (that's one reason why you get cold blood lololololol), so not taking a +damage talent is This would be better: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fhesox0sVZGcZAMxcM0RVigor/Prep is my preferred, but the new buff to the Dirty Deeds talent makes it harder to take... gonk
