What do your parents think of Anime?
Do they even know what it is?
:] I just got my dad to watch the first two episodes of Death Note. He said he likes it.
My mom's watched Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away.
Also, while she was away at training she met a full grown anime dork.
He explained everything to her and offered to print out a list of conventions for me. <333 xd

My parents actually are very anti anime XDD They hated that I liked it all throughout high school. I gave up pleasing them with it and just liked it. I never got a chance to watch the TV though so it sucked trying to get into new series until I started downloading episodes and buying tons of manga.
When I got in college and joined the anime club, dad was all for it, mom still didn't like it.
Now they just say "Argh" because my little sister is into it too and there is no way around it's awesome razz
And not to mention I've made some great friends via anime.

My parents doesn't even know what anime is, my sister she does know what it is but hardly even watch it. Sometimes I have to explain everything to her about a show.

My Mother knows, and she supports it. Like helping my friends and I get together to watch anime and stuff.
My Dad probably doesn't really care.
My Sister seems to have a very select choice of what animes she likes and watches. I think she mostly likes American comics, but she's watched stuff like Cowboy BeBop (One of her favourites), and Outlaw Star. And she has the entire Death Note manga series (Except for the first three, which I bought).
And just because that was a short post I'll continue...
My cousins (mostly the boys) watched stuff like DBZ and Pok'emon when we were little. My twin cousin liked DBZ, along with myself (She liked younger Gohan, and I liked Future Trunks. xD; ). I think she watched Pok'emon a bit, too. And she was kinda obsessed with Kaiba in Yugioh (Although she told me she didn't really like the end of the series).
Anyway, after that she didn't really like anime much anymore. She told me alot of the stuff she saw was pretty much the same thing over and over again.
But one day, while the family was together at my grandmother's, I was watching Naruto, and I guess she kinda saw it, 'cause later she asks me what the name of the show was.
It was kinda funny, 'cause I didn't even think she was paying attention. She was like, restling with my sister at the time or something. xD;
Anyway, for a while she liked Gaara, but now I think she's leaning more towards Kakashi. xD;;
Aaand I bet no one's going to read that...

My mom doesn't really mind that I like anime, and she thinks its actually kind of cool that I lead my high school's anime club. She thinks that its okay because I like it. My dad sometimes watches anime, but its very rare. I remember watching Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon with him. xd
I have other cousins who are reallly into anime and they would have a gaia if their computer was fixed. Besides my cousins and my parents those are the only people who like anime.

XD My parent's and anime...
My dad doesn't support it and my mother is constantly trying to get me to draw still life or something realistic, because anime is 'Eww.'
Not only that, but whenever she sees a Japanese ornament or dish (She's in to dishes <__<) on eBay, she's all "Zara, come look at this."
"Why."
"Because it's Japanese!"
I swear she thinks I'm some sort of Japanophile <__<  s l e e p

Anyways. I'm not sure about my parent's opinion on anime. If it gets in the way of school the call it stupidness and make fun of it but other then that I don't think they mind.
Daddy watched Naruto a couple times. I think he's secretly in love with it.

Do they dislike anime? No. Do they dislike my obsession with it? Yes. xD
Though, as long as I mostly keep my obsessiveness to myself and don't rant to them about shows, they're perfectly fine.

Well. My brother hates any and every thing that is animation.. unless it's like, South Park. :/
My dad is okay with it, but he's not about to sit down with me and watch anything.
My mom? Hell. She likes Naruto, and just today I got her into Death Note. She loves it. xD

THAT is a cool mom, Kairi.
My parents know I'm into it, and they're just, "Okay, as long as it doesn't get in the way of your studies." But they have me to blame for getting everyone else in the house into anime. Our househelp, my sisters... heck, if our dogs could understand it I'd probably get them into it too.
I'm a bit of a Japanophile myself, actually, and my parents are all, "Oh, look at this Japanese style furniture! I'm sure you'd like it!" and "Ah, I'm going to Japan next year, but don't tell me to buy the whole country. *insert snortish laughter*"
