Is that it is actually the same as a town in Salisbury Plain in England (presumably named after the same thing I am: rain (in Latin-think back to the Roman invasion, and how bitter they must have been about our weather at the time)). Now that's probably nothing interesting on its own, but what is interesting is that this village isn't on any maps. Well, that's a lie, as it is on some, but there is only a name to it; no roads, no buildings. So, it would seem that it is a ghost town, and that is partially true.

It was deserted by its inhabitants in the middle of WWII, where it was requisitioned by the army to be a training centre in urban warfare for the good ol' americans stationed in England, and has remained so to this day, and is still in use (though not solely by Americans anymore, as they've been kind not to go shooting up our villages any more.

Also, the other interesting fact about my name is that it stands for "Integrated Marine Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research"

That is so cool! biggrin I wanna go there... but then I saw the guy, the one with the gun >.>;;

I love old abandoned places, for example, a couple of girls in the Lolita LJ community do photoshoots in an abandoned asylum in the forest...
I wish I could go there ^^

My old school has recently moved across town, leaving the building that I attended empty, it was built in the late 1800's and it just looks so decrepid and desolate now! Ghost towns and abandoned buildings facinate me, thats why I broke in!

I knew your name meant something! I just could never figure out what. Rain, Imber. It all makes sense now.

I took two years of Latin, enough to grasp the basics pretty much, and can feel it slipping away as we speak. If there is any language I want to go back and study, it would be Latin. My alternate name, Lutra, is also Latin. It means Otter.
