Ok this is a thread I thougth could be of some use, I know we all get frustrated from time to time. Be it becuase of the mentality fo some posters, or some ocurence in Video games. I know that because we strive to adhere tot he guidlines we can not voice such things in the VgD
So that is why this thread is here..... feel free to post yrou rants and raves... as well as to voice your opinions on how others are feeling
All I ask is that we try to remain civil to eachother..... you know becuase of that whole no fightign with other paladins rule.... this si so we can vent to sympathetic ears
so please, make use of the thread, let loose the dogs of war as ti were.... and vent the furstration I know we all build up from time to time

Speakign of rants we can likley all relate too
I am gettign so frustrated with the numerous Console Wars repeats or Console Wars Related threads..... especially the next gen ones.
I mean come on, all the info is in technical specs at this point and the Revolution has not even had official specs released. Yet every day we see peopel rantign about which is better without any kind of logical reason. And more oft than not they even ignore the known specs of the systems they don't like. I mean if you are goign to make a statement the least you can do is make sure you are actually informed ont he topic.... it takes all of 10 minutes to go to CNet or Gamespot and look up the technical specs for the PS3 and 360.... now granted some of those specs are obviously rather technical and not everyone understands them..... but even basic math can clarify some of the points.
This si not rocket science, 256+256=512=512...... 24>11..... 2>1..... you can analyze some of the tech specs with basic math... you don't even need to understand what a Disk format or a Teraflop is to do that.... or how System memory is allocated
But the worst part about it all.... they are not just ignorign facts they don't like.... when you try to explain things to them they call you a liar or say that you do not know what you are talking about
and even worse... heaven forbid yuo try and tell them the mods said that all comparisons belogn in the sticky.... beucase then they go balistic talking about how the sticky does not mention handhelds or next gen consoles.... completley ignoring the part about mods saying it belongs there
basically it is the ingorance and stubborn pride of some fans that in my opinion causes so many of these pointless repeats as well as the ensuign arguments.... all because they want to be right.

Resident Isaka I hate when people yell at me when they are wrong! scream Agreed... and this brings me to rant part 2 What is the deal with peopel who obviously know that they are posting in a repeat thread... yet have the audacity to attack and insult the people tryign to clarify the reason it is a repeat.... ro politley tryign to inform the poster there is a sticky. I mean come on... there is absoloutley no need at all for people to start hurlign insults just becuase someone poolitley informed them that they made an error in postign the thread.... that is nothign short of arrogance and stubborn pride I mean the mods onbviously made these rules for a reason... and what si the point of violating the ToS by flaming someone when they are honestly trying to help keep the forum clean

Resident Isaka I just recieve a hate pm with the title "you b*****d" Arteta you got my console war into a fat a** non topic war, you are an idiot See it is people like that that cause even people like us to need to rant he is the one who made a repeat of the Console Wars sticky.... he even calls it a console war..... yet he wants to blame you becuase a mod movied it..... the mods move 6-12 of those threads every day and him saying you are an idiot... talk about the pot callign the kettle black.... he is the one who lacked any kidn of logical reasoning for his claims.... let alone proper gramer in his posts.... yet he wants to call other people idiots becuase they follow the rules

What's the deal with people complaining when we refer them to the Halo 2 sticky when they post a topic on Halo in general ?

Eternal Knightmare What's the deal with people complaining when we refer them to the Halo 2 sticky when they post a topic on Halo in general ? that one is a real grey area.... and honestly that shade of grey irritates the holy hell out of me the Mods say the sticky is for Halo 2..... but becuase fo that we see numerous Halo topics every day I think we should PM them with a list of Halo topics and dates/times there were posted.... that way we can show how often these threads pop up so we can ask if they can just make it a Halo Series Sticky instead of a HAlo 2 sticky

you know some people are jsut irritating.... I am not goign to name any names by my rant will make ti clear to Veras and Knightmare whom I am talking about
Have you ever run into soem ranadom forum poster, who simply thinks he is better than aeveryone else.... and even when he faisl to understand points hase the sheer nerve and audacity to call people who disagree with him his "Intellectual Inferiors"
I mean come on, how is it fair for a poster to literally ingore logical points with factual evidence...... just to rant liek a fanboy.... and then call other people "inferior" when he fails to understand or even adress the points they make.
But as if such arrogant slander was not enough..... then has the urge to attack peoples typos and start calling anyone who disagrees with him a fanboy and accuses them of having no actual facts.... then goes even further by insultign them simply becuase they are not gullable enough to beleive everything someone posts and actually do the intelligent thing by asking for some kind of source or evidence.
I mean come on, asking for a source or evidence so you can see somethign for yourself is the intelligent thing to do.... you don't insult somoene just becuase they are not so gullable as to beleive everything they read.
I guess what I am saying is that I get irritated when I see these fanboys who think they know more than eveyrone else...... then literally ignore facts and proof that does not coincide with their statements.... and even go so far as to insult people who disagree with them.
Anyone else have an opinion on this?

I know who you're talking about. I had a fight once and he called me not a real fan of Nintendo because I have a PS2. I'm a fan but there's some games on the PS2 I wanted to have so I bought it. And I'm not a mindless fangirl, I can say each consoles are good and that all we say for or against them is only opinions
