Hey guys, what do you think of making a little contest around here?
I'm not really sure what to do, but what kind of contest would u like?
And a reward of some kind, how about a collectible if you win?
I don't know if it's lame or not, so gimme ideas!

Here are some contest ideas:
Art contest
Avatar contest
Holiday themed contest (it is the month of December)
Raffle
A referral contest- To have people convince others to join the guild
Those are just a few of my suggestions. I could explain them some more if you want.

I wouldn't mind an avatar contest.
Maybe have people use TekTek to create a character from a video game (since this is a gamers guild, after all). Have them include a reference picture and maybe a small description of that character.
There could even be categories, like "most original," or "best male character" and "best female character." Those prizes could be smaller, but at least more than one person could win (even if the prize is just bragging rights and a small graphic to put in their signature/profile). Of course, there could be a "best overall" category, and the big prize would go there.
There are also other types of avatar contests that could be done, too. Like Angel said, something holiday themed or whatever.

And for the avatar one I liked the from vg characters, that would be nice

What about a video game collaboration contest.
Like combine two different games into one game.
Put in a good storyline that has importance to both games, and some awesome gameplay that can't be done by the games seperately

I like the video game avatar idea, but only if we use Tektek (not everyone's rich enough to make an awesome avatar in-game).

I don't want to dwell into that
