Essence of Life

~Blue Blood
As you move the vial in your hands, a thick and stick liquid of a dark blue hue coats the sides. Upon looking harder, you realize you have seen this rare consistency of liquid before. It's blood. However, everyone knows that blood turns red when it hits oxygen. Why this blood has not, no one really knows. Was it from the blood of a being killed in the storm?
Actually exists XD Thank you Silver

~Dawns Dew ( if you can think of a better name please let me know ^^;;; )
As dawn creeps slowly over the land, moister forms from the air and makes tiny little dew drops on leaves, flowers, rocks, and just about anything else it can get onto. These tiny sparkling orbs are around long enough to catch the suns first joyous rays before they quickly evaporate one by one. However, one little dew drop doesn't want to seem to return to the air once the sun has come up. It still remains after all of it's companions have returned to the sky. Also, this little droplet never seems to lose it's shape. It rolls across leaves and flowers and stays in tact, not once losing even a bit of itself. Even as it crashes to the ground, it simply bounces a little and then lays still till something else pushes it along, much like a little water balloon. In addition, this little droplet is always glowing and shimmering, as if the first rays of the sun have been captured inside. Even at night it gives off a stubble glow and looking through it, daylight can be seen.

~Blind Seers Eye
Seers have renowned as some of the best fortune tellers in history. These unfortunate souls where often blind in one or both eyes and either loved or hated by society. It was said looking into the foggy damaged eye(s) of the Seerr could allow you to see your fate, be it ill or good. They where referred to as vessels of the gods, and known to be plagued by visions and nightmares of the worlds fate. Dr Kyou, while looking for essences, made recent discovery in a dead body buried in the lower chambers of a castle. Most of the body had rotted and turned to dust, but in the back of the skull laid an eye. The retina and iris where all a stark shade of icy pale blue, and the seems to glow with a creepy sliver light. Upon picking up the eye, Dr. Kyou was struck with images of his past. Quick flashes ranging from his childhood to his lab blowing up. He also saw the rebuilding of his lab, though even briefer length then the flashes of his past. Then suddenly they stopped as quickly as they had came, leaving the doctor slightly confused and holding the eye firmly in his hand. Believing it to possibly be a seers eye, he brought it back to the lab to run further tests.

~Everlasting Peach
At first glance, one would look at this piece of fruit and more then likely not think anything of it other then this particular peach looks in wonderful condition with no scuffs, soft spots, or bruising. A perfect peach. Upon biting into it however, the consumer feels better. Any ills they had seem to lessen, such as a flu lessening to simply a slight fever. This effect is temporary however, and fades within a day. Also, taking a bite from this peach fills the being up that consumed it. The amazing thing about this peach is once bitten, it beings to regrow where it was bitten, slowly but surely. It continues until it is once again whole. Same thing as for bruises on the fruit...they vanish within a day. Dr. Kyou discovered this peach while in China. He plucked it right from a tree in the wild, and took a bite. Quickly becoming full, he saved it for latter, only pulling it out to see it regrown. Puzzled and amused, he returned to the lab with his find.

The Lost Souls

~A Nelumbo bloom (More commonly known as the lotus)
The lotus and lotus flower is an ancient polyvalent symbol. The lotus flower is one of the Vajrayana Ashtamangala. It is representative of creation and cosmic renewal and shares in the chakra and mandala symbolism of the Dharmachakra. It also represents purity as its flowers grow on long stalks, which are rooted in the mud. It is also symbolic of detachment as drops of water easily slide off its petals. Also, the lotus in both Egypt and India symbolizes the union of the four elements; earth, air, fire, and water. The roots are in the earth, it grows in and by means of water, its leaves are nourished by air, and it blooms through the power of the sun's fire. The lotus is therefore the perfection of the fourfold order of the natural world. The growth of a new flower directly from the earth-bound original (infloresent proliferation) may be interpreted as a symbol of transcendence as found in Indian philosphophy: a spiritual emergence of a higher world directly from our physical manifestation. It may also be interpreted, as in Egypt, as the exaltation of the essence quality of the lotus.

~Apsarases
Apsarases are supernatural beings: they appear as young women of great beauty and elegance who are proficient in the art of dancing. They are the wives of the Gandharvas, court servants of Indra. They dance to the music made by their husbands, usually in the palaces of the gods, and entertain gods and fallen heroes. In their assignment as caretakers of fallen heroes, they may be compared to the valkyries of Norse mythology. Apsarases are said to be able to change their shapes at will, and specially rule over the fortunes of gaming and gambling.

Okay, here goes hon.

Your dew essence is very interesting. Think Sevvie needs watery Raevan companion, lol. Anyway, instead of making it change back and forth from a diamond to liquid, why not just leave it liquid? But like maybe something like a natural water balloon. If that makes sense. It'll never evaporate, but it's still water that's sort of trapped in a way. I think it'd be kinda cool. Liquid, but not, hehe.

Your Seers Eye is good too. An eye that never rotted away like it should have. Perhaps kept in perfect condition by the very powers that it contains. O.O Lol. But rather than have the eye be the thing that shows the future or fate or what have you, how about letting it bestow upon the person holding it that power? It seems it would work better this way as then Kyou or whomever discovered it would then have a clearer understanding of what it was and how it worked. At least, that's how I see it.

And let me just say I love your peach! A fruit that can never go bad nor ever be gone is something out of a fairy tale, but I like it. Makes it sound like your Raevan would have the ability to heal itself and whatnot. Very interesting. But the name...I don't think it quite fits. Something along the lines of Everlasting Peach might fit it better.

As for your souls, I rather like both, so I can't say much on them. Just keep in mind how they will work with which essence and which combos you'd like. Like are you looking for conflict or something more compatiable? Things like that.

Well, hope I helped somehow. Good luck!

hmmmm. All are very good points, and they make a lot of sense. I will defiantly be changing the name on the peach. I more or less used immortal peach due to the Chinese legend of the fruit being served to the gods every 3,000 years to have them retain their immortality. I like everlasting better though. XD

Thank you for offering critiques though ^_^ *hugs* I have some stuff to type up now.

First and foremost, I'd recommend running a spellcheck, since I saw a few mistakes here and there in your concepts. XD;

ANYWAY. The fel essence on here I like the most is your Dawn's Dew idea. The fact that morning dew fades away not too long after the sunrise is something that has a poetic value to it - the thought that good and beautiful things are temporary and fleeting (like the poem 'Nothing Gold can Stay', and there's also a folk song that can end with a line about how love fades like morning dew). Having a dewdrop that lasts forever-- well, you can put more value on it than that it's just a drop of water that's not evaporating! Combining that with either of the Hinduism-centric soul ideas you have so far... that Raevan would just be gorgeous. T3T

As for the Blind Seers Eye... well, body parts for some reason don't click well with me as fel essences, but that's from my personal preference and not from the rules of the shop. And people who can see the future aren't something that have been tainted by the storm from the backstory of this shop.

I don't have any feelings one way or the other about your Everlasting Peach, though it is an interesting idea considering several ancient theologies had their gods retain their immortality by eating a divine fruit of some kind (what about 'Divine Peach' for the name?). The thought that it might have somehow descended from the realm of the gods into the mortal world while still keeping its supernatural qualities is pretty interesting. XD

I really have no complaints about your soul ideas. Hinduism is awesome, and you have definitely done your research, so I can tell you'd be able to play out a Raevan like that pretty well. :'D Good luck with your quest!
