((OOC note: She's not joining the pride formally, therefore won't bear a cert beyond rogue. She's signed on as fighting for the Traditonalists, and there's little other way for her to do so than to be in as an unofficial slave))
Even the oasis had never felt so oppressively hot! The pale lioness, though used to the desert she'd been born in, had never been anywhere quite like the Motoujamii Desert. It was truly a land of death, she realised. Everywhere heat pressed upon her, absorbing into her pale white coat. How could he even stand this? She watched the orange lion, her lifeline for the moment. Behind them, their pawprints were blown away. Only a lion who had trekked the dunes would know what way was the exit.

Pausing at the top of a dune, the rogue-born royal looked around. He didn't see Ripuka... But he DID see a familiar spot of red. The massive form was unmistakeable as a Firekin, but was it the right one? He beconed Kimiko after him and went down the dune, approaching the other. "Bodaway, I presume?"

The aging male looked up, gold eyes flashing in the sun. A Pridelander and a Rogue... Ah, but the Pridelander was familiar. He set down the kill he'd made, turning and stepping forward. "Makaa'kali... So good to see you again... And in the desert, no less!" He knew the lion's name wasn't what he said. But for the safety of many, he refered to him as a fellow Firekin. He glanced at Kimiko, noticing the bedraggled look of the lioness. "And what have you brought into the desert? A token to the pride?"

The smaller male nodded. "Yes... She harmed somebody I care about, somebody I treat like a sister..." A glare was thrown at the lioness before his green gaze returned to Bodaway's golden eyes. "A daughter of Nyekundu, delivered to the fierce and great Firekin. Perhaps it can be seen as some form of peace offering from the Pridelands..." He didn't allow his gaze to soften, not in the least, at the thought of home. But was it home? He felt it was home, but more and more did the desert call to him. Either it was Ripuka... Or the allure the sand and dunes held.

Circling the female, Bodaway nodded. "Good form... Even for a rogue..." His ears flicked in his dark mane, own eyes narrowing. "Nyekundu...?" A growl rose in his throat. He'd heard of Nyekundu... Kiunguza had told him about the lion, and how he'd kept the princess as a slave. "I'll take this... Filth... Of your paws. She should make Kiunguza happy... Especially with who her father is." He finally stopped circling her, tail lashing. "We need a new nanny, anyway. The previous one... Ran off."

She watched the new lion warily, unsure of what to do. The way he looked at her... It worried her. She worried about what was going to happen to her. Who was Kiunguza, and how did this lion know who her father was? Why did they need a nanny, anyway...? She shivered despite the heat, watching the fiery-pelted lions chat. It was like her life was being decided for her.

Danzi nodded to Bodaway, turning and heading for where he'd last seen Ripuka. "Take her, then. Her father killed my blood uncle. I cannot forgive her for it, especially after attacking my adopted sister." Dark-ended tail curling, the lion turned and started walking. Even what felt like a few years later, he walked the dunes like a Firekin.

The aging hunter nodded, watching the fiery-pelted Pridelander go. Small though he was, and of lesser blood... He had the heart and spirit of a true Firekin. He turned suddenly to the lioness, eyes narrowed. "You. You will do as you are told, you will not back-talk, and you will only go where you are told to go. Is that clear?" When she nodded, he motioned with his head to the kill. "Bring that with you and follow me." Tail curling, the mighty lion turned and headed for home. "And KEEP UP." Yes, this would please Kiunguza WONDERFULLY...

She could see the fierce spirit in him, even when he acted kind towards the Pridelander. Picking up the kill and following, she couldn't help but feel like maybe... Just maybe... This was MEANT to happen. For the first time since Toshiro attacked her and shattered her spirit, she felt stronger. Striped tail curling, she did her best to keep pace. These would be trying times for her, serving as a slave. Oh how she imagined her father would writhe in his grave to know one of his daughters was a slave!

A pause, a glance... He watched the white lioness being led away. A niggling in his mind asked if he had done the right thing, but he quashed it with little thought. Of course he had! She'd attacked others, and she deserved nothing more than to be treated like this! He scowled before turning, launching forward to race across the sand. He had a lioness to visit!
