I want that december ice pet thing, I missed out on the first gen, and that is all I want! I want one of each first gen item, and that is the only one I don't have because I had nearly two weeks at the end of nov/start of dec without the internet. ToT I'm too poor gold-wise to purchase it.

I truly dislike this whole new buy things with actual monei. :/ I know Gaia needs rl money to hold all of us but... I don't know, this doesn't somehow feel right. They better take advantage of this and make A GODDAMN AWESOME MMO! >: O

On the other hand...like, how are they different from the MC system that's been here for years? (MC's just easier to type out for me.) It's an expansion of that, yes, but I don't think it's tactless for the most part. (The most part.)

Granted, I do think that a lot of things would be better off with lower prices (the moon was one prime example), but I also think that if Gaians as a whole don't like the price...they can vote with their wallets. The Gaian economy on BOTH fronts (virtual and real) is completely want-based; you're not going to die if you don't have your Grunny slippers online or off. People don't realize this, and petition...while they're using the items because they HAD to have it.

In short, if the first problem with Gaia is that they confuse opinion with fact, the second problem is that they confuse want with need.

I really enjoyed the Gaia Cash while it was still only for the Shops. What I mean about the Cash Shop is that it's messing a little too much with the economy. But then again, Gaia is Gaia and it can do what it wants with itself. We are just here to enjoy the ride. Again, looking forward to the fruits of it.

I wanted a WTF hat. I ended up buying like 12 boxes until I realized I was probably better off buying it off the Vend. I'm just waiting for them to go lower, now. XD;;;

Genea- Actually, I was hoping for that to happen, since I've noticed that after a jump like that they go right back down. And they did. I think they were back up to the 47Ks when I posted this and now they're 40K. Actually, someone gave it to me, but if I still wanted one, I'd wait a little more. They are not very liked in the Marketplace, it seems. XD;;

my last calculation on gaia's net profit is nearly $1 million a month on just the donation letters. the total cash shop output is harder to calculate because people dont keep buying the items after a certain timeperiod where as with the letters they have a predictable output. 2-3 items a letter and a daily average of 250k active accounts a day with nearly 22% of them unable to buy letters and 64% able to buy more then 2 letters my estimation comes to 200k letters before they are released. and an unstable # bought after release due to how good the graphics of the letters are and how many items there are and how many of them are needed to create a set. my estimation since october 2006 is that there have been 400k of each letter bought (i know the cash shop wasnt out that far back i just wanted to prove a point to someone else and did the figures.) as for the rest of the cash shop ,,, the hermes moon made ~$100,000 in its first 72 hours and ~$500,000 in the week following that. (thats ~$600,000 in 10 days people) the rest of the items i dont have figures for but with time i could do the numbers.
