Who: Edward & Alphonse Elric, Dji What: O_o we'll find out won't we? Where: Outside, then to Dji's tower/shop When: Late November. Starting Midday. Why: [see what *winks*] The warmth and green of summer had long since shifted into the golds and reds and oranges of autumn. The air was chill, cold even, but snow had yet to fall. Alphose Elric reveled in the sensations, all of them. Able to finally feel again, out of that suit of armor. Having a body again. Really able to enjoy them -not searching for his brother for they were together.
He laughed, throwing himself back into a crunchy pile of leaves. It was so different, not traveling searching for the philosopher's stone. Though he still wanted to -for Edward- and he kept his ear quietly listening for any word of one. But this world was different from their own. He had learned that with the odd 'family' that had taken him in when he first arrived -as if his own ears and tail were not enough proof of that. Funny how that was. It felt new and yet almost like he had always had them at the same time.
And Ed was a dog. Al giggled and tossed a handful of golden leaves at his older brother. It was fun being able to play & goof around like this. Sometimes he missed Winry playing with them, as they all had as children. Still it had been something of a dream -a happiness montage- since finding Edward here in this world. Casual traveling with no destination in mind, card games, training, and of course alchemy. Even if just flower circle laid on a tree somewhere in memory of their mother.
He still missed her. Always would. But... well they had more than learned their lesson, hadn't they?
Then it came again, almost like a palpable thing. This thought, this feeling that they should visit the tower. His laughter faded, brown gold eyes looking thoughtful as he leaned back in the leaves and looked around. They were near the tower again. Very close. Perhaps that had something to do with this tugging feeling? Alphonse had not brought it up again since that first day he found his brother though the thought had flickered like a caged bird from time to time. "I have this feeling, brother." He started, his voice thoughtful. "I have this feeling we should go to the tower. To see the lady there."
His head turned so his eyes could meet the more golden gaze of his older brother with an almost eerie earnest intensity. This time... he would find out why he felt compelled to go there... to meet her. It was an uneasy curiosity, to say the least, but one he would rather face than let linger unsolved. Besides... it felt right somehow.

Another figure stood nearby, the elder brother of the one who played in the leaves. His hands stuffed in his pockets as he seemed to be staring off at nothing. Letting the cold breeze blow his blonde hair and coattails. However, his silent reverie seemed to be quiet abruptly interruped as a clod of leaves was thrown at him, his arm coming up just in time to block the leaves from hitting his face, "HEY!" He turned with a smirk to look at his brother and roll his eyes at the playful antics. Still, the tail that he had acquired seemed to wag lightly. Edward seemed to notice this and abruptly made it stop. It was somewhat.. humiliating.. being part dog like this.
Stooping down, Ed gathered up his own ball of leaves and hurled it right back at Alphonse. Yeah... take that! A cheeky grin on his face as he awaited the reaction. However, Al's words caused the grin to fade a bit and even draw a small frown before arms were crossed over his chest. "Why should we?" he asked, glancing up at the tower. "I don't have any 'feeling'." He didn't see the need to visit any stinking tower and some lady that they didn't know. It was just Alphonse's curiousity he mentally reasoned... surely he was just imagining this 'feeling'. Besides, why go barging in on someone's house or whatever it was? Didn't make any sense to him.
It was the rebellious and stubborn part of Edward that resisted going to the tower for no real apparent reason.

Sloth yawned sleepily as she picked up her soft fat adorable Yeti plushie again and reluctantly moved out into the woods near the tower. A pity she had to be on patrol for now. Still, Envy had taken quite a long time in his work while Dji was ill, acting the part of the healer he was and as such she was the last voice not working her a** off or hibernating.
Brushing her hair out of her eyes, the cross-dressing, shortest and youngest evil voice pushed her soft fluffy furry coat out of her way so she wouldn't trip on it as she went on the third of her rounds for the day.
Hullo, what's that? A glint of almost-metallic-gold in the distance?
Huh. Visitors.

He sputtered as the leaves Ed threw caught him mostly in the face and Al had to swing his arms around to brush them away. "Hey!" The younger brother was laughing again. For the moment. Then he grew silent and thoughtful as he faced his brother's stubbornness & sighed. l didn't want to have to fight Ed on this. Ed didn't have a feeling on this? Well... maybe that wasn't surprising. "Why shouldn't we?" He retorted, serious & playfully mocking all at once. Then he stuck out his tongue, waggling it with a crinkle of his nose. Silly, how it felt good to be able to do that. Then he was serious again. Standing up and brushing the leaves from his clothes and hair. O_o They were really stuck to his hair. Smiling sheepishly Al undid his ponytail and shook out his hair to get the leaves out, tying his hair back again as he started walking towards the tower. It was a 'shop' of sorts too, right? Hadn't Bellamue or Relm said something of the sort when he was there? So it wasn't like imposing on someone's home. Not like they had not stayed at peoples homes ever before. Besides... he wasn't looking for a place to stay. Just... well okay. His brother was right. Al was curious. "You don't have to if you don't want to. I'm going. You can wait here for me if you want."
Alphonse flashed his brother a smile and took off at a casual and easy gait towards the tower, white gloved hands slipping into his pockets. His tabby tail was lifted high with feline determination -he had made up his mind and was not going to be swayed. Knowing his brother though... Ed wasn't likely to let him go off alone.
At least Al hoped not. He didn't really want to go alone. Though he would. So it wasn't a bluff... not really.
The younger Elric did not see the short female with gold hair fading to vermilion who was circling the tower. His attention was on the fortification itself, and whether Ed was coming or not.

Edward laughed at the face his brother made and his waggling tongue, "And you always say I'm immature!" Ha! He had to pause and pick a few leaves that managed to get caught on his hair and sleeve as well, but he had managed to repel the majority of them when Alphonse had thrown that wad of leaves at him.
Golden eyes blinked again, "Why shouldn't we?" He snorted, for Edward thought it should be the other way around like he'd just said. But it seemed that Al's curiousity was getting the better of him. For his brother announced that he was going there, and then started heading in that direction. "Hey now... wait a minute..." He just stood there and watched Alphonse walk away for a few moments before cupping his hands around his mouth and shouting, "Curiousity killed the cat you know!"
... Well that wasn't going to do any good. Edward grumbled and soon took off after his younger sibling. As was predicted, he wasn't about to let Al wander off by himself, nor was he going to let himself get left behind either! Dammit.

Sloth headed straight for that glint of gold, moving closer, stealthily from tree to tree as she snuck up on the one glint that separated into two.... and quickly took shape through the screen of leaves into the forms of two boys, dressed similarly. Twins, she would have guessed, except one was clearly taller than the other. ...Not by much though. Keh. May as well announce herself. Pulling out an apple from the voluminous sleeves of her coat, the tossed it into the pile of leaves a short distance away from the running pair. Before moving into their field of view. "Yo." she said mildly, her voice light yet unfeminine. "Who you?" Sloth knew she could very well and most easily pass for a pretty boy, with her triangular face, her wide blue eyes and the slim figure. She walked like a boy and as much as possible, she talked like one too. She rather liked it and reinforced it as much as she could with her choice in loose clothing and childlike bounce in her step. Meh, might as well see how these newbies treat strangers, eh? she thought to herself with a smile.

Curiosity killed the cat, huh? Yeah... that was making Alphonse grin slightly to himself as he made his way to the tower. After all... he was a cat now, wasn't he? A tabby ear flicked to hear his brother. Inside his grin broadened hearing the tell-tale sound of his brother's step on the leaves behind him.
He made a sound of surprise, and paused hearing something he wasn't expecting crunch though a pile of leaves nearby. Al took a step back as the person with red-gold hair seemed to just appear before them, in what looked to be... a robe and slippers? Brown-gold eyes crinkled in confusion. What was this boy -he had no reason of yet to suspect she was a girl- doing outside in robe & slippers in the daylight? "eh... ah..."
oh yeah.. question. Al's confused expression faltered into something more automatic and polite. Call it his 'greeting habit' of sorts. He touched his hands lightly together and made a very small bend of his waist. "oh. sorry. We're the Elric brothers. I'm Alphonse, and this is my big brother, Edward."
The young alchemist flashed a nervous smile. Would Ed throw a temper because he had told their names to a stranger? He hadn't wanted to leave it to Ed though, having walked away Al wasn't 100% sure what kind of mood that put his brother in.

When Alphonse stopped, it took a few moments to catch up. Although he'd been a little further behind, he did see the appearance of some person they didn't know and was equally confused by his/her sudden appearance. He came up in time to hear his brother introducing them, and stopped at Al's side to blink at the stranger.
Since he had already been introduced, he decided to ask the pointed question, "Who are you?" He looked this person from head to toe, also thinking their attire to be rather... odd.

Elric brothers, huh? A flicker of TRULY EVIL amusement flickered in Sloth's mind as she remembered that... file she'd snagged from Dji earlier. Apparently they were alchemists searching for some stone. Pft. The interesting thing was that they had run-ins with some creatures bearing sin names.
Heh. May as well see how these fellas reacted. Might be fun.

Sloth? muh? Wha? Wait... Sloth?!? Okay... some things were more blurry in his memory of their travels than others. But Sloth... that was... their own failed attempt to bring Mom back...
His eyes went wide then crinkled in a wince, though Al didn't quite whimper. "Sloth?" Alphonse squeaked, chastising himself for the childish way he sounded even as he didn't really care. He didn't want to deal with homonculi! Not ever again! This guy didn't look like Sloth... but homonculus could shift their form. Alphonse took a defensive step back, mind whirling to think of what he could transmute to use to fight. Oh but he didn't want to fight! Not only that... but he had never faced a homonculus alive before. He just got his body back! He didn't want to risk losing it.
Anxious eyes darted to his brother's face. What should they do?

Edward's reaction was different, the older brother sliding his hands in his pockets again as his face took on an icy look at the mention of the name. He held his ground though, for he knew this wasn't the same Sloth as the one they had known. However, from that expression on his/her face... it looked like they knew something... and were perhaps trying to get a reaction out of them.
Edward sneered a bit, "Sloth huh? Funny, you have the same name of someone I don't really like. No offense." He wasn't getting a good vibe from this Sloth either, but he wasn't about to take any sort of action at the moment unless it was absolutely nessecary. There was a different between a homunculus and someone who took the name of a sin.. which he was pretty sure was the latter here. There was only one homunculus that could really change its shape to make it look like different people, and that was Envy.

Amusing! So very amusing!
"I ain't a homonculous, so you ain't got a problem with me." she pointed out, amused. "Just gotta warn ye that there's are around 7 or more other people with sin names here, three o' whom happen to be my sibs. Figured out may as well get ye used t' us and our names b'fore you meet th' others. I'm quite a lot shorter than they are. But yeah, we've been expecting you. Thought you'd find your way to th' tower earlier though."

Seeing his brother icy-calm, hearing this Sloth's response relaxed Alphonse considerably. Really though... he had to learn to be a little less jumpy about such things. Sheepishly Al put a hand to the back of his neck, giving a slow smile. "heh. Right. Sorry."
Pause. More with sin names? Well after meeting those in that strange 'family' that basically adopted him Al figured he really shouldn't be surprised. Really. Still it was hard to digest. He had let himself be lulled into a sense of normality with it being just Ed & him for so long.
"Wait... you've been waiting for us?" Al shuffled his feet a little, uncertainly. Maybe... okay he was having second thoughts about following that feeling now. What if the two things were somehow connected? "Why?"

As soon as the word homunculus came out of Sloth's mouth, he already had his suspicions. This sin named person seemed to know a lot about them, and Ed didn't like that very much. Sure... back in Amestris, they had become famous, but here... not so much.
He heard his brother's questions, but he felt his were more important, "How do you know so much about us?" He wasn't entirely sure he wanted to go anywhere this Sloth led them, something just didn't seem right.

Sloth's eyes flickered with amusement. "Dji-sama, my boss, is responsible for th' fact that you're here now, and in the bodies you've currently got. Particularly for th' er... canine and Feline bits, I'm afraid. Please do tell, what IS the last thing you two remember?"
