The spot in the ceiling through which the moon had been shining brilliantly the night before was now replaced with the bright sunlight of the new day. Ren found herself to be rather cozy, encompassed by something soft and warm. It took a moment for her in her state of semi-sleep to remember that she was with Ronin at the moment. A large smile crossed her face as this fact came into mind and she moved her head a little so that she was facing him. "Ohayo," she greeted sleepily, giving him a soft lick on the cheek. "Sleep well?"

Ronin smiled as Ren licked his cheek. "Yes, very well!" He had woken up a few times, but had slept rather well. "How did you sleep?" he said as he nuzzled her.
((sorry for short post..ill do a god one next time. I have to go for the night, but I'll reply again tomorrow morning!))

"Wonderfully," she replied, nuzzling him back affectionately. Then playfully she added, "You make for marvelous companionship." Of course, this was an understatement, just she didn't want to appear any more forward than she was already being.

Ronin couldn't help but grin at Ren's comment. Ronin was very pleased to wake up next to Ren. He had been used to waking up alone and it felt good to have someone beside him...someone he cared about. "What do you say to some breakfast?"

Ren smiled and stretched a little bit, passing her tail over him softly. "Sounds great." She rolled back onto her belly and swished her tail contentedly behind her. "What kind of animals are there around here?"

"Not much worth eating in this cave really. There's quite a few mountain goat and maybe a few lynx just outside of here...and one mean big horn sheep somewhere," he laughed. "And there's always fish. So what sounds good?" Ronin gently placed his front paw over Ren's as he waited for her answer.

"Hmm," Ren replied, looking up at the ceiling thoughtfully as she sat up. "Well, I've never had several of the things that you mentioned really, so I'll just trust your judgment." She looked back over at the modiphim and smiled. She had never realized until now just how lonely she had really been all of this time.

"Alright, I know just the perfect thing for breakfast. That is...if you're up for a possible challenge?" Ronin slowly stood and stretched out his wings. He then realized that he had been looking directly at Ren's eyes during most of their conversation and hadn't felt any effects. He smiled inwardly, wondering if she was indeed learning to control it.

"A challenge you say? Sounds interesting." Ren stood up and walked over to the water, taking a few laps. "What exactly did you have in mind?" At seeing the reflection of her own eyes, it registered in the back of her mind that she had been able to keep herself from influencing him. This thought made her smile a little. Perhaps there is hope after all...

Ronin followed Ren to the edge of the water and grinned deviously. "You'll have to wait and see." He too drank some of the cool water. "You ready to head out?"

Ronin headed toward the way they had come in the night before. He paused and peered into the darkness of the cave. He sniffed a bit before contunuing. This time he took a different turn down a different path.
"This way," he said happily.

Ren's curiosity was being to rise as they moved onward. Her eyes kept a careful watch of their surroundings, as she clearly remembered there being many pitfalls in this cave from the evening before. True, this was a different route, but all the more reason to stay alert. As the two walked, she kept herself fairly close to the modiphim before her. "Do you come here often?"
