In the early morning hours, right before daybreak, a small creature stirred. After a small yawn and a good stretch, the Ulaya made it's way up to a small cliff to watch the sunrise. Ah, dawn. Yoake's favorite time of the day. Like clock-work she awoke every morning just in time to watch this magnificent occurrence of nature. It never grew old to her; the female joyously bathed herself in the light of the sun's first rays.

Young Aether had awoken early from her uneasy sleep. Seeing the early morning sky lighten with the coming of dawn, she arose from her bed of soft grasses and moss. Airi, her adopted sister, had mentioned an outing later in the day, but at the moment the ulaya had nothing to do. Following familiar paths through the brush, Aether arrived at a nearby placid lake full of clear blue water cascading down out of a tumultuous river. As she approached the lake and drank, the little ulaya's acute hearing picked up the footsteps of another. Pausing in her morning drink, Aether tracked the sounds. Emerging from between two lush trees, the young one was suprised to see a ulaya basking in the light of the early dawn.

Yoake heard some movement from behind her and turned around to see a young Jokoa' looking back at her. "Ohayo," she greeted with a smile, padding softly towards the little one. "Watashi wa Yoake desu. Onamae wa nan desu ka?"
(Translation: Good morning. My name is Yoake. What is your name?)

Aether blinked at the ulaya before her. The adult spoke a strange language, one that the young one had never heard before. Listening to the words carefully, she tried to understand their meaning. To her suprise, the translation formed quickly in her mind. "Yoake? That is a beautiful name. My name is Aether." Hoping she had understood correctly, the ulaya looked expectantly at her companion.

"Ah, gomen ne," Yoake apologized with a small bow, realizing that the child spoke another tongue from her. "I'm glad that you understood me though, and thank you for the compliment. Your name is rather pretty as well," she said with a smile. "So, what are you doing out here all on your own so early in the morning?"
(In case you haven't guessed, gomen=sorry)

Dorian yawned as he lay down in the grass. He had been up for quite some time now. Dorian quietly closed his eyes, hoping to get back to sleep for a while longer. But he soon became restless and found he could not fall back asleep. He got up and stretched and let out another yawn before heading toward a lake to get a drink. He stared off at the sunrise as he lapped up the cool water. I should get up this early more often. That sunrise is magnificent, he thought. Just then, Dorian picked up a the scent of another ulaya nearby. He followed the scent until he he saw the two out on a cliff. He emerged from the tall grass with a broad smile on his face."Hello there you two. And good morning!" He moved closer to them and sat down. "My name is Dorian Ari Ciaran," he said proudly.

"Wow, that's a rather long name," Yoake said with a semi-smirk/smile. "Mind if I just call you Dorian? My name is Yoake." She gave a small polite bow after saying this. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Dorian grinned at Yoake. "You can call me whatever you want. Dorian, Dac, Doofus...I would probably respond," he said with a laugh. "But Dorian is fine."

Startled by the sudden appearance of another ulaya, Aether paused before speaking. After watching the older ones intereact, she grinned up at the newcomer, Dorian Ari Ciaran. "Then it's a pleasure to meet you Dorian. My name is Aether." While speaking, she mimicked Yoake's bow with a smaller one of her own. The young ulaya then turned her gaze from the adults nearby to the sky above her. It's previously pink tint was quickly fading to the normal sky-blue of daytime. Dawn was passing rapidly.

Dorian watched as the little ulaya gave a cute bow, mimicking Yoake. "It's very nice to meet you Aether. You are quite adorable, if I may say. And if I may not say it, then forgive me," he laughed. Dorian followed Aether's gaze to the sky. "You two get to enjoy the beautiful sunrise?"

"Hai," Yoake replied with a nod, glancing up to watch the last of the sunrise. "It's my favorite part of the day. I find the colors to be absolutely magnificent." She looked back down at Dorian with a smile. "What about you two? Which part of the day do you enjoy most?"

((Aether has grown so...she's now an adult... Aether cert (adult)Everyone up for a miraculous growth spurt? XD)) Aether turned her attention back to Yoake and Dorian as the male ulaya spoke to her. Smiling at his description of her, she was about to comment when Yoake replied first. She thought about the elder female's question. "Dawn is a beautiful time of day. However, the sunset is equally glorious." A soft smile played over her young face. The now-rising sun's rays fell on her features as something about her youthful figure seemed to change. Sensing a difference, Aether looked about her in confusion. She seemed...taller somehow. In fact, she was close to Yoake's height suddenly. What has happened to me? She looked at the others to comment or present some kind of helpful clue to her predicament.

"Wow, kids grow up so fast these days," Yoake said jokingly, though she was truly surprised at the sudden growth spurt. "I must say, you look quite lovely, Aether. How does it feel to be an adult all of the sudden?"

I'm an adult now. No wonder everything looks so strange.
Looking at Yoake, now at her eye level, Aether responded to the other's question. "Being an adult feels...odd." The ulaya once again looked over her new form She stared at her paws and legs, then looked over her shoulder to study her tail. She did feel different, yet eerily comfortable. "It truly doesn't look bad?" She asked, not entirely certain of whether or not she like the sudden change.

Purizumu watched the sunrise quietly from up in a tree. When it ended he finally realized that there was three other Ulaya close by talking to one another at a small cliff. He quickly shifted his position so he could not be seen, or not very well at least, and silently watched them, though is long tail could clearly be seen as it dangled down from the tree. He was a very shy Ulaya you see and even if he does wish to talk to others he'd be too timid to.
