From where she stood the mountains, her home, looked nothing more then hills. It was amazing how small and insignificant something could seem when you looked at it from another angle. The water, for instance, seemed no more then a puddle from the mountain peaks but standing next to it's edge, it was vast. Almost never ending and lovely to look at. "Not lovely enough..." She said turning her gaze downward to face her own reflection. "You are cold so why don't you freeze?" She snapped kicking into the water angrily. She had come all this way to see everything frozen and yet nothing was yet.
She kicked at the lake again and again as though her touch would be enough to chill it further. The fact that it didn't only upset her more. As she was about to start her attack up again a drop of red fell from her hoof into the water sending red tendrils spiraling outward in the ripples. The color seemed to sooth her and she fixed her posture no longer on the attack. "Ahhh...so you can cooperate can't you water...?" She purred watching as the color slowly dissipated.

Maybe shes could be his Drusilla...XD. She's so PRETTY]
The Unicorn carried himself lightly, his horn gleaming in the night. Stars and fireflies seemed to dance around him as he carried himself through the open ground of the field. He was indeed looking for company. He had left little Milo where he had found him, and told him he'd be back.. And he would. And he had left Birdy.. But Birdy and he were close as of now. SHe was a sweet sort.
His cloven black hooves stomped into the earth as he walked, his tropical colored eyes gleaming as well. His leather duster made of ebony and heavy things flowed behind him as he walked, as did his shiny platinum colored mane.
His lion-like tail with the peroxided lion tip, thrashed as he walked, keeping up with him sightly and causing him to look a tad bit ethereal.
"Ah. What a night."

((Thank you and as far as being his Drusilla we'll see. *nod* Gotta see how they interact first)) Pale ears flicked backwards like radars. What was that sound? She didn't want to look away from the red spots she had just let fall from her hoof into the water. At the distant sound of a voice she found she had no choice though. If there was one thing she hated it was swarms of horses showing up when she wanted to be alone and if there was one thing she had noticed since her trip down it was that the odds of finding a solitary horse were slim.
She tore herself away from the beautiful sight to scan the area for soquili. She kept her ears alert for the sound of multiple hoof steps but she didn't really hear anything. This just wasn't sitting right. Narrowing her eyes slightly she took off at a light trot each step falling like a snow flake her mane and tail floating along behind her like silken threads. There was someone here and she was going to find out who.

Oh yes, I know.lol. I wasnt trying to*bricked* Im sorry. I'll shut up. XD]
Spike didn't see the mare as he was walking, his eyes were too busy in front of him, watching his direction closely. He did not need to get lost tonight. It was far too lovely for that. Keeping his head high, his ears perked and swiveled about his head.
He knew someone was out there, and it caused him to stop, and narrow an eye. He tilted his head to the side to listen closely. Intently. He wasnt moving, and he wasnt going to go find the source. But it never hurt to be careful and watchful of what was going on around you.
His cloven black hooves stomped into the ground only slightly as he resumed his step.
There was nothing of interest. The birds had probably been making the noise.

((Chill you aren't being bricked. XD I consider it a compliment.))
"There." She stopped almost instantly and turned on a pinpoint. Her ears were locked on the point where the most recent disturbance had come from. She turned her head slowly until she was facing the same way her ears were pointing. She did her best to focus her eyes to see out into the shadows. It was now the she wished her eyes were better accustomed to the darkness.
Out in the distance she could see something moving but she couldn't tell what it was. She stiffened slightly and pulled her head higher giving her a more powerful appearance. "Who are you and what are you doing out here?" She demanded letting her voice shatter the still air. This was her sanctuary tonight and no one had any business disrupting her.

Normally Spike was considerate and charming with mares who could benefit him in some way. But this mare hadn't proven that yet, so he was really wondering whether he wanted to speak to her or not. Hiding in the shadows was more his thing.. But hey, to each their own.
He gave a devious look to the mare as he stepped slowly out of the shadows. Watching her long tresses fall across the earth, he looked back to her eyes, his eyes already scanning the mare rather intently.
"No one whom you've met. Im sure."
He said, eyes deviant and mischevious.

So the intruder was a stallion. A lone stallion. That surprised her a bit but she didn't let it show in any way. "Of course not, fool. I don't live here and it would be a shame if I did." She said with a bit of a chilly bite. She had never been good with strangers and she did not like being studied. She locked on to him so she could actually pick him out of the background and study him right back. Short blond mane, bright blue eyes, a strange looking tail, and a bulky black body.
That wasn't right. She narrowed her eyes trying to get a better look. The black didn't seem to be part of his coat at all. Then what was it? It covered everything from the base of his neck down to his hooves but there was a gap towards the back that revealed his real legs. She snorted laughing softly deciding that sarcasm would be her best bet in this situation. "What manner of creature decided it would only eat part of you?" She asked cocking her head to the side gesturing with her eyes alone at the strange black thing.

The stallion continued walking, a yawn escaping his maw. But he saw the mare now. A creme colored femme with very dark hair. She seemed to..have a set of wings painted much like his love Birdy.
"I beg your pardon?" He asked, looking at her like she had gone off her rocker.
"Do I know you?" He asked, wondering if maybe he had merited the remark. But he had never seen this mare before, but he was good at eating plants that seemed to take bits of memory away. Made him feel good it did..

"That great black thing that seems to have decided the most of your body would make a decent meal. It appears to have died during the process though." She said cocking her head to one side trying a bit harder to pick his form out of the darkness. She shook her head finally giving up on seeing in the dark, her eyes just weren't suited for seeing anything without the sun up.
"No, I can say with certainty that you do not know me. I have only just recently journeyed down from my mountain home to see the ice and snow whenever they arrive."

Spike looked at his back, to see what the hell the mare might have been talking about. Oh!The duster. Well duh..But still..He never took it off,so it was something of a fleeting thought mostly. He never thought about it much.
"Oh! The jacket.. I think it makes me look more manly." He said, striking a sort of proud pose as he stood tall and gave a cocky smile.
"Well..Then name's Spike.. What are you called?"

Thorn couldn't help but snort at this dropping her 'I could care less' attitude for a moment to have a laugh. "Manly? Why, I've seen other mares that look more manly then you do. As I have said before, it looks as though some beast wanted you as a snack but couldn't stomach all of you. You, Spike, are quite funny." As her rather cruel laughter died out a beautiful, icy smile settled on her face. The one before her was quite comical, or at least she thought he was. His intentions didn't matter in the least to her.
"My name is Thorn." She said approaching him for the first time since she was able to see him. "While it is rare, I can say I am pleased to have met you."

He shook his head, not sure whether she had just insulted him, or complimented him. Because he was confused, he just disregarded both thoughts, and said what he wanted to.
"More manly than I? I never want to meet those mares, love. Sound quite intimidating indeed."
He said, flashing a grin, his fangs catching the light.
"Pleasure is mine, Thorn. Your name is quite interesting..Similar to my own.." He said, saying the name over in his head. Spike and Thorn..It would be a perfect villianous duo should a movie ever come out like that..
Not that he knew what movies were..

Another peel of laughter filled the air slightly less icy then her earlier laugh. He was truly amusing and while he didn't seem to be catching the intended meaning behind her words but his interpretation was more enjoyable. If she had been in a more spiteful mood she would have continued insulting him though it helped that his eyes had a frozen blue color to them that she was able to make out being close. She loved those icy colors almost as much as she loved the bright red color of blood and berries.
"I suppose they are." she said nodding her head slightly in agreement. "Both deadly and both able to draw the most beautiful substance. You agree?"
((*laughing at the movie thing*))

"Most beautiful substance? Well now.. Only substance I can draw out of others thats beautiful is blood."
He grinned, and winked at her a bit. Not a flirting wink, but a wink nonetheless.
"And you don't strike me as the blood.. type."
He said, looking at her and noting she very much resembled a crow.
Well that was okay.. His mate resembled a bird as well.. Nothing wrong with birds.
[Lol, I know]

"No?" It seemed that his eyes did not see in the dark well either. That or the few splotches of red on her had simply been over looked. The berry juice splattered on her hooves and dream catcher wasn't exactly blood but it closely resembeled it. Perhaps he could tell what it was just from looking at it. "Well I'm far from ordinary and I've seen strange things." A smile fell on her face accomponied by what could only be discribed as an insane glint in her eye.
"Icicles, for instance, did you know that they make good weapons? I didn't either before last year. Now I know and now you know what and attraction to blood I have. It's such a beautiful color you see."
