Quirks: She seems to have a delayed reaction to anything, during the day. At nighttime, she seems more normal.
Personality: 'Scientific' would be putting it mildly. She seems to want to analyze everything, find out why everything works the way it works, does what it does. And she's not going to accept anything except what can be explained down to the minute details. Aren isn't afraid to go hunting for those details, either - in fact, she seems to enjoy it. So while a toddler being curious about the world is nothing new, the single-minded determination with which she pursues such information is on the unusual side.
Straying outside the realm of simply curiously, Aren would bewilder most adults. She seems disconnected from reality - seeing everything purely in scientific ways; in fact, she seems to miss social factors entirely. Insults fly past her, as do compliments. She seems to view these as simply critiques, sometimes false, sometimes accurate; things to be assessed, and then to move on past them.
While with some children, this curiosity would engender an enthusiastic personality, it seems to have done the opposite with this little girl. She's calm and collected, her curiosity sprouting up as determined fascination.
All in all, she's an odd little girl. And anyone who's had her simply watching them, observing their movements as if trying to divine how they move just from watching, would agree.
