The morning was quite dull as the sun shown so brightly amongst the sleeping land. Birds had recently began their merry little songs, as the wildlife stirred and began their routines. Happy go lucky, a thorn in anyone's gaze that loathed the brighter source of life. It was just unbearable to be even content in something of an obscene fairytale. Swooping inward to a decent there arrived a dark creature with crimson coated wings. She snorted with a quick look upwards as her cloven silver hooves touched upon the ground.

"This will have to do, " she muttered lashing her long tail back and forth in irritation.

Walking onward she inhaled the air wondering what game survived here in this forest. She desired to hunt, mainly something to give chase. Just hearing the panic in their breaths caused her satisfaction. She was rather agile and liked a good balanced meal. So, when a ferret came meagerly out near the creature of darkness it made her grin with a flick of her tongue among her lips. The thought of its size deterring her a bit, she shook it off and decided on a little "flame Broil".

Snorting she waited till the furry creature saw her then would give chase. He was oddly blue but enough to sate her appetite should she catch the delicious little quarry.

Stitch has made a great heist this round carrying his spoils in his mouth proudly. Feathers on strings, beads, and lots of shiny things he felt quite confident about. Chuckling to himself he wandered out into the open as if parading around his prizes, not noticing the looming threat above him. To Stitch is was just "another" random soquili.

Such a mistake for a little ferret to not pay attention.

He grinned up at this dark mare as if she were the ice mare or the hyper flutter. He had no recollection of the vicious creature that would surely eat him in one gulp.

Smiling he chuckled, not even caring if this female saw his stolen loot, "Heyas there you new here? Me Stitch and I stole lots see?" He held it out prouly and waited for her to comment.

Cynder couldn't believe her ears. This "rodent" was talking to her as if she were a friend. How moronic was that when the poor meal didn't know he was meant to be charred and eaten? Perhaps there were... yes others, she could smell them now. Those "lesser" breeds of soquili that traveled in herds and grazed on grass. The ones that got near two-legged freaks and waited eagerly to be fed like someone's pets. How disgusting those soquili made the races look. Cynder was a pure kalona, a dragon with pride as she struck terror into those unfortunate to cross her path. She watched him her green eyes narrowing as her tail lashed back and forth impatiently.

"Stitch. Ah that's your name is it?" she repeated drawing out the "s" in his name with a mean hiss, "I think you should run right now for I plan to eat you. I have not eaten in many days and you seem quite nice with a bit of fire upon your flesh." She flicked her ears and waited, he either ran or she would torch him right there on the spot.

"Now are you going to do as I asked... or shall we just burn you right here on the spot. Your choice." Perhaps now that pitiful wretch would finally get the point now that she stated her ultimatum.

Stitch's face went from proud and happy to downright terrified. This soquili wasn't one to play around, and worse yet she planned to hurt, no she planned to EAT him. Shivering he began backing away, the contents of his thievery dangling idly from his maw.

"Stitch no like your words. You plan to eat Stitch. Is good um good Stitch. No eat funny happy Stitch." Now he was shaking worse than before still backing away from her with caution. Then with a pivot of his back feet he turned and ran fast as his little feet would carry him.

Stitch knew the female was dead serious as he kept his pace weaving in and out of the thick bushes. His sanctuary was with the ice mare and the herd. So, with little puffs of breath he headed there seeking safety from this nasty creature that meant harm.

Cynder curled her lips upward as he began backing away from her with a terrified guise. Oh she would enjoy this very much, a chase to give her purpose perhaps.

"Yes. That's it little pest." she grinned watching him begin his retreat.

When he gave chase she took to the skies following his every maneuver as her large wings propelled her through the sky. Seemed he was going somewhere, a place of safety she pondered. No matter whoever he was friends with, she'd destroy them too if they stood in her way.

Bring on anything and Cynder would take it willingly. She rather liked the challenge and hoped it wouldn't be dull going out of her way like this.

The fall was flowering leaves, spreading them all over the ground in beautiful colors. The wonderful sign that the winter was arriving with a few turns of the moon. The summer fowl were flying south to the warmth as the winds blew in chilled feelings from the north.

Below the trees stood a mare, a crystalline creature born in the hues of wintry ice and wonder. Her breath escaping in faint white puffs as they swirled and disappeared above her. Life was moving onward yet Celendria's own seemed endless. Even as the years passed, babies were born, and soquili came and went, she never regretted things in her own lifetime. The confrontations, the sadness and joy, it all made the ice mare whom she truly was. Now, walking upon the elder's path she saw things differently yet they all seemed the same in a new light.

Sighing she watched things around her feeling content and at ease. Soon the ground would be white and her youth would surface once more in those frozen depths.

Never would she imagine how fast the sky could turn from cerulean to blackness with the shrill of a small familiar. Which did indeed cause Celendria's eyes to narrow as her ears went flat, turning toward the commotion heading toward her.

Stitch ran for all he was worth, his little heart pounding directly out of his chest with sheer panic. The smell of the cooking fire weaving its way toward him.

If only the little ferret could make it there on time.

He ran faster now noting the blue intensity of the elder mare standing alert to his cries each time the darker demon breathed flame. His tail had singed twice now, which made him cry in shrill whines and screams. Scampering he skidded in toward Celendria pulling in to rest panting at her feet. Looking up he cried to her, little tears streaming his face as the beast came in for a landing in the chase.

"Stitch no bad! Stitch no bad. Save Stitch! Save Stich Cel...en... dria? No eat Stitch! Not Tasty!" He pleaded shrinking into a ball almost as his shaking fingerlike limbs clenching her fetlocks.

Cynder narrowed her green slitted eyes as she descended to the ground releasing one last trail of flame. Direct contact to her quarry causing a faint charred smell to emanate from him. She grinned snaking her head out to bite, but missed as he hid behind something that looked like a horse.

Ah a soquili. Pitiful wretch that you are.

She hissed looking directly at the icy female in front of her, "That's my prey that you stand protecting. Hand him over to me for I desire to eat sometime today. Resist and you'll have more trouble over your head." She snaked her head toward him waiting as her eyes never left this icy mare simply standing there. Was she stupid enough to pick a fight with Cynder perhaps. Shame such a lovely shade of winter would get stained and bruised.. Oh well. She waited with her tail ready to strike should the other foolishly come head on at her. Like a sharpened blade Cynder's tail was ready for the kill, the wounded if she was merciful.

Celendria resisted the urge to question Stitch as to why this beast had followed him into the territory of her friends. The last thing Celendria wished was the injury to any herdmates, and especially Tirranna. She could not bear to even judge the pain and promise this mare would provide. She meant business and Celendria knew this full well.

At that moment she felt trapped between protecting everyone and herself. This was a kalona, a demon born of the soquili races. They found pleasure in pain and suffering, and also struck without notice. This one in particular had a tail that seemed sharp as a weapon, a razor used for slicing. Even the horns that spiked out on her head and neck were used to fight and injure. Thankfully there were no foals about right now to cause even more distraction than was already needed.

Clearing her throat she addressed the kalona trying to be polite and show she meant no ill will toward the angry forceful mare, "I am the ice mare Celendria. You are welcome here dark one." She said with a nod of her head, though her eyes never wavered from the darker creature. "I do not know why Stitch has caused you to follow him here, but I also will not let you eat him either. He is a friend of this herd as are most whom dwell here." She knew this would anger the darker mere, even cause her to attack. She wished no violence but it may come to that eventually. For the protection of the others she'd give her life if she had to.

Cynder narrowed her eyes at this vile mare whom was protecting a thief that was mainly her dinner. He wasn't blue once the fur was removed, he actually was flesh, blood, and bone beneath that furry hide of his.

"Celendria. Your welcome is not needed mare. I am Cynder, All I desire is that rodent at your heels. I will not hesitate to take it by force." She grinned yet her disposition was seemingly calm and cool headed. A dangerous reaction for the wise ice mare that sought peace over violence.

Cynder eyed up the slender mare carefully noting where her tail could slice or her horns could gouge at a moment's notice. Easy as pie basically if she went that route on taking back what was really hers. How dare this Celendria tell her otherwise?

"Come we shall be civil and open to no negotiation. This is by my terms and only those shall be heeded." She hissed once more glaring at the ice mare, a fair warning before blood would be shed.

Stitch heard the Kalona's nasty tongue and shivered at the thought that he would be lost in her belly soon. He for once didn't speak for fear of Cynder would lash out past Celendria and grab him. All he could do was still cling to the mare's back leg and hope she was a decent shield in the arrival of a battle breaking out over him. Usually he loved the attention, but now was terrified this was happening in the first place.

Celendria never once quickened her breath, nor did she flinch in the presence of this beastly demon dragon. She was protecting everything that she held dear as she laid her life on the line for the sake of a pitiful ferret. Not to mention an unruly one that stole, lied, and was downright asinine to everyone around him. But the ice mare was mainly concerned that even though he was all these things, he still was part of the herd.

"Cynder. I am sorry I can not comply with your terms. I gave you welcome to be here in this land, my dwelling where I watch over and help the others. I can not allow this sort of violence to ensure where peace is harmony and tranquility. This is a place where all are welcome should they accept it willingly." She stood with her body tall and proud yet her form held a slight quivering to it announced by the mere twitches in her withers. She knew she was not designed for combat but she wouldn't let down the herd either. She was of course an elder and was determined to follow through with things she had learned deeply within her time that had passed here in this land she now called home.

Cynder was growing impatient hissing with each breath before she automatically swung her tail within inches of the ice mare's face before her tail grazed the blue chest leaving a tiny welt that started to bleed. She pulled her tail back as it snaked along with her.

"I will not negotiate which is rightfully mine mare. And know this for next time I strike it will be for your throat. So do consider what I've said for it shall be only now that I resort to this talk." She hissed and grinned at the mare though there was no sarcasm nor folly in her action. Her direct attack with a razorblade tail was her way of saying "now" politely, next time she wouldn't hesitate to slice deeper.

Now it was up to Celendria to either die of stupidity or hand over that damn hairball she wanted. How hard was it to follow directions Cynder muttered to herself. She was tired of the games these pathetic human loving creatures played with her.

It was time to deal with them accordingly.

Celendria flinched as the tail struck her gritting teeth as the blood emerged. The stinging pain that was trickling from her chest was a reminder how she must remain strong. Cynder was hard headed it seemed, but dangerous with the way she handled things. She was a killer, a creature of dark instinct that meant what she said.

For a moment Celendria pondered handing over Stitch, a ploy to save herself at that very moment. If he was taken care of Cynder would retreat and leave the heard to be on its own. What was one miserable ferret that upset everyone to the pain the ice mare was enduring right now? But she stood there defiantly praying she had the strength to carry on. Euphoria, her children, all the herd, they counted on her to protect them.

Stitch is part of the herd.

"Strike me down if you wish Cynder. I shall protect my herd, my friends, my family at all costs." Celendria now pawed the ground as her eyes stayed directly upon the Kalona, her neck trickling blood still but not as much. If she had to fight to protect, to give her life to love, then that is what must be done.

Stitch who normally would have loved this was shaking more and more. His paws griped her fetlocks even tighter now watching the beast fight for him. Soon the mares would fight and he wanted no part of it. Scampering away into the teepee he hid there peeking out at the two preparing for combat. Blood had already been shed because of him, he hoped it wouldn't be more than that.

Lunging forward at Celendria's disappointing reaction she meant to strike and crack her neck or ribcage with her lethal tail. Perhaps if this mare was so foolish she'd enjoy hearing a cracking bone somewhere. And maybe that foolish rodent might just fear for that pitiful mare and hand himself over. All she wanted was the ferret after all. What was so damn hard about understanding a dragon's appetite the mare wondered. Foolish.

Celendria may of been older than the dragon, but she wasn't foolish to take a killing blow either. As the tail swung at her, the elder mare reared upward attempting to deter the swinging weapon at her. Kicking out her limber agile legs Celendria tried her best to lower the blows the dragon was issuing toward her. Grunting she swung herself back down toward the ground as she pawed the ground in front of her.

Cynder narrowed her emerald orbs at this defiant creature. Tired. She was so tired of this charade the other was posing at her. Cynder desired food within her growling stomach lying deep inside her as flame was working its way into her nostrils. If this mare wanted a fight it was time to play with fire. Snorting she released two puffs of smoke before opening her mouth to release a single layered flame at her target.

Celendria smelt the inferno as it sneaked out from the other's nostrils. The sort of aroma that literally made your eyes water miserably was drifting from the dragon. She did however move quite fast as the flame spewed outward toward her. Just barely missing her coat she had avoided the first stream of flame licking toward her from the sanctuary of Cynder's flaming bonfire.

Cynder hissed at Celendria releasing yet another flame as it caught upon the teepee setting it to burn. Raising a brow she noted how fast a human could run as her place of safety was beginning to burn even more now. The thought occurred to the kalona dragon what human flesh tasted like. But she was more amused watching the girl try and put the flames out.

Celendria narrowed her own eyes now for Tirranna was in danger along with losing her sanctuary of sleep and rest. The time was over for niceties, now it was personal. Snorting she waited for the next stream of flame that would be aimed at her again. She wanted to help her friend, but on the other hand she had a problem to deal with as well.

Feena flitted alongside that great stallion wondering back toward the clearing where she recently had come back to upon reaching adulthood. She knew supplies for their journey would be plentiful there. Besides her mother stated how nice the two legger was to help her soquili friends when in need. So, it was in her best interest to head there and gather what she needed. Smiling at him she never fluttered her large wings faster than the great swooping of his.

Yuuri was enjoying himself, forgetting the whole ordeal with the "other" him as he accompanied such a beautiful lady that fluttered by his side. His long legs outstretched he glided with her feeling quite grand that such a mare would spend time with him. Maybe the whole thing of the Maoh could be placed in the background and he could focus on this adventure even more.

Even though Feena was quite in a daze feeling special with Yuuri, she snapped to attention as they neared the clearing. The putrid odor of fire and brimstone was unbearable as the black smoke curled upward toward the two soquili. She squinted lowering herself closer to the ground noting the fiery teepee and the ice and darkness in confrontation. This occurred to the lively flutter something was terribly wrong in this mess.

Yuuri snorted from the smoke feeling the tenseness in his companion. He noted the dragon and his face went intense as his legs pulled him into a dive flourished with those strong wings that beat upon his back. Already he was blacking out as the pendent upon his chest glowed brightly, letting the aura penetrated through the black snarling swirls that barred their way. Letting out a warning he came in for a landing as his massive feet touched upon the ground in a loud embrace. Already he seemed much larger than before as his black orbs focused directly on the dragon fighting the elder mare. Stepping over toward Celendria he tossed his head and waited for the dragon's response. He noticed the bleeding upon the ice mare's neck which made him extremely angry.

Feena landed not too far away blinking in an almost curious yet excited expression. It seemed the friend she thought was quite handsome had changed somehow. He was bolder, more chivalrous than he had been before. An almost swooning feeling was feeling Feena with adoration as she noticed how protective he was becoming.

Celendria snorted and was about to charge when the great winged landed near her, stepping in front of the confrontation to deter the dragon. She paused releasing a breath stepping back from the great massive male between her and Cynder. Perhaps a godsend she noted Feena that had landed not too far from where this male did.

Cynder was also about to lunge if it weren't for this great annoyance whose feet looked to be bigger than she ever witnessed. He wore strange trappings and a light emanated from that pendent around his neck. "great... now I deal with more annoyance when I hunger. Bring it stallion for I wait for your death eagerly." She was so fed up with toying and decided she'd burn the place down if she had to.

Tirrana was fleeing this way and that trying to save what she could of the teepee before it burned to nothing. Thankful that her soquili friends were eager to help she tried desperately to gain ground past the fire and watch over the beautiful ice mare that now had help it looked like. Such a grand stallion he was as well dressed in funny clothing.

User Image

Glory was rushing buckets to Shaylee as she tried watching everything going on around her. Now Feena had returned with a strange stallion that was protecting her mom right now. Such odd things going on she noted before seeking for more buckets and kicking dirt at the teepee.

User Image

Shaylee zipped back and forth along with Saissis alternating buckets with the water she grabbed from the river past the deer trail. She wanted to watch this great dragon but duties came first.

User Image

Saissis as well was fighting to help the fire though the poor teepee skins were rather toasy, filled with holes and other bad things. She frowned with each bucketful knowing poor Tirranna wouldn't have a very warm enclosure for winter. Already the snow was beginning to fall slowly making the mare move even more rapidly than before.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 27, 2007 2:33 pm

Cynder was furious that this pack of nags was standing in her way. Pulling a deepness in her chest she exhaled a raging set flame from her gullet smoking from her nostrils. Letting the stream streak outward it engulfed the teepee hide in complete fire. Everything was set to a brilliant blaze, all of it charring as it tumbled downward in a smoldering heap.

"Ahaa haa haa let it burn... let it all burn if you won't give me what I desire. See now ice mare how your two-legged friend struggles to keep her sanctuary. Pity isn't it? She'll have nowhere to sleep when the snow finally settles" she announced as puffs of smoke billowed outward from her nostrils.

Grinning as the soquili all scattered from the burning hide, she noted how sadness was settling in their hearts. She felt no pity for them for she felt no sadness of her own. Just that anger that succumbed her own eyes for something gone astray.

Celendria shrilled as she saw the flaming mass engulf the teepee till it crumbled like shallow leaves. Her voice held pain and suffering as she heard her own friend cry out that the battle was lost. The mare was torn on what to do finally for everything was resting on her shoulders of death and life. Her protection of a thieving ferret had cost Tirranna her only means of life. How was this an elder's decision if she could not protect and nurture everyone she held deep in her heart. Now all she felt was two things deafening to a wiseman's conscience, regret and anger. Neither of which were her ally or salvation right now. Blindly she stepped around the taller white stallion and prepared to charge at Cynder, ready to kill her if need be. Beginning a gallop she headed straight at Cynder.

Yuuri whom was settled in front of Celendria stood quite boldly as his mane swirled and shifted in the last flickering light of the smoldering blaze. He was ready for this dragon to pursue her charge even with his presence. But when the elder mare deliberately went out of his protection to attack blindly, the stallion turned so quick he snorted with a heave of his breath. He never thought that Celendria would even attempt to try and take on the dragon herself. She truly was a brave soul, but this wasn't her time to prove it. Pivoting his heels he followed after her in hopes that she'd be intervened.

Though in this fatal charge the dragon would take no mercy in the mare's death, rather she'd enjoy it to the bitter end. This was unjust and sorely unbalanced. To rectify this another stepped out intervening the ice mare and dragon. Odd to one's first view, this mare stepped with agile grace and determined will as she crashed into Cynder trying to knock her off balance.
Claws of silver pushed her smaller form at the dragon mare as her head thrusted forward. Dressed in an odd outfit (though who wasn't these days) she carried herself as a warrior wearing a smaller hat with a waving paper taisman. Pushing forward she lunged into Cynder with all her might.

Tirranna had cried since her teepee was nothing but the bony frame that once stood proudly. It was gone, all of it as the burned smell of deer hide crawled in her nostrils. She cried aloud wiping tears as they arrived one right after another. Feeling the presence of the other soquili she looked upward to see Shaylee, Saissis, and Glory standing near her for comfort and warmth.

Stitch crept out and hid behind the crying human girl feeling a bit distraught this was his doing. Now he agreed that perhaps he shouldn't of bragged to the big scary dragon kalona. Sometimes its best to let sleeping wolves, or in her case dragons lie.

The whole turn of events caught Cynder off guard, for when she was trying take on Celendria's foolishness she never anticipated another soquili charging at her. Feeling the impact the dragon fell off balance and crashed into the ground with a deafening thud. With a deafening roar she lashed her tail about trying to regain balance. Never had she felt so angry in her life as she pulled herself to her feet. Eyes now pinned upon her oppressor that had even remotely tried to piss her off.

A single mare with claws? Cynder chuckled noting just how small this little mare really was dressed in some kind of odd outfit with a paper that hung in front of her eyes.

"Enough of this! All I desired was the damn blue the rodent, but now... now you've left me no choice. I'll destroy all of you in one breath. Cry and seek solace for your burned flesh shall be what makes me most happy!" she raged and hissed puffing smoke through her nostrils as a dragon prepared for combat. Swinging her tail she managed to gradually graze Celendria pushing her back once more.

Hsien-Ko pushed the ice mare back shaking her head, "No elder! This is not your time to die and neither is it the others. Protect them as you have. I will deal with this menace demon." Snorting she pawed the ground watching Cynder, her eyes narrowed intently. She will fall by my hooves if she touches the others... You have my word Elder.

"Demon! You are not welcome here and that is not what is wanted here. Now you leave me no choice but to extinguish your life!" she snorted with a loud whinney before charging again.

Celendria skidded with her tail furling behind her like a mass of white silken snow. Her shoulder was now bleeding from the impact of the bladed tail that caught her so rapidly. Stumbling she stepped backwards her lungs heaving as tears streaked her cheeks.

Is this truly how an elder is chosen? Am I to idly stand here as everyone I know dies from this creature who deems our death? Its not fair! I never wanted this arrival of a demon the others have been safe from. Now I bleed as the rain falls from the skies in the summer. As the wintry winds call my name from so far away my blood burns with her destruction. And yet is it truly what I want?

For a moment Celendria trurned her head to face the sobbing human she called friend as Chepi was to her. Protect. That was what an elder did when peril was promised in harsh whispers and unforgivable phrases . And this was what she must do as she turned her back toward the dragon breathing her name and memory, etching them in her mind so clearly. Starting to walk she began a trail toward Tirranna as Hsien-Ko stood in the way along with Yuuri. Though her heart and mind screamed to fight, Celendria knew her place was with the one creature that could never defend herself from Cynder. Tirranna was very precious to Celendria as was the herd she overseen. This was her place, her time to prove the status she'd gain. She always believed that with age came wisdom, and now she understood.

Craning her head downward she nuzzled Tirranna with a soft breath she blew outward.

Yuuri gave a promising look to Feena and nodded before he too stood his ground against Cynder. Not knowing who Hsien-Ko was, he still appreciated the help she was giving. His mane furloughed as did his tail as the blue light of his swaying pendent radiated his strength even more now.

"You've done nothing but selfish motions demon mare, a judgment that you deem worthy of your own actions. All this... this peril and commitment to destroy those you despise. Have you ever once though why you want something to cause this much angst against you? To cause this much pain to those that would wish you good will and help you? No! All you deem is our destruction. You have no fear or contempt of your actions... as long as that ferret fills your belly! I say Cynder you are spoiled and a coward to attack the innocent! You are better off with your own kind if you can not even remotely accept and come to terms with an elder's request." He sorted breath as his large head tossed and nodded with eyes that pinned the dragon like daggers sifting through her soul.

Tirrana screamed with a sob as the ice mare once again came closer to death. She understood that the mare was protecting them, but for what cause should she die in their defense? She cared too much to see these creatures lost to darkness. Noticing Stitch she uplifted him in her arms holding him tightly as he shook and took on fear only he could know.

"Its because of you little blue thief. You brought her here didn't you" she spoke with her voice shaking as she petted his furry little blue forelock of hair. She never expected a kalona to ever enter there and now one had. The stories of the demons were indeed true. As Celendria walked toward her, the maiden noticed something familiar as her belly swayed in her slow pace of sorrow. Her sides weren't to formed yet, but Tirranna noticed the miracle that was growing deep within the ice mare causing her to smile. Life was seeking a way to overcome darkness as it unfolded.

As the mare neared closer she wrapped her free arm around her burying her soft face in the cool yet warm fur of the Celendria. "Mare of ice... thank you." she cried with a sob as her other arm hung tightly to Stitch.

The other mares of the flutter variety stared in awe of the events unfolding before them. Though the teepee was hopeless as the buckets lay strewn about the grounds, there seemed a new found hope within the stallion and the odd mare. Though things were grim and unsure, there seemed to be something lifting like a veil in the horizon.

Cynder was furious as she noticed the ice mare retreat to stand guard over a measly human girl. These soquili were truly worthless, primates of their own species only out to make a mockery of her. She could burn this mass completely engulfing them in her torrent of bale fire, but why should she when all they had was bitter words for her anyway. She was tired of this charade deeming that rodent not worth her time as the human stroked its measly little head like a ragged furry doll. They could keep their damn little menace, she was sure to find hunting quarry elsewhere.

Snorting she in took the others with a squinted view hissing as smoke wafted up from her nostrils. The strange odd looking mare that rushed her before standing rigid and full of fury in her stance. This was a knight, a warrior intending death should she even remotely charge the elder again. Not much but a few cuts grazed the ice mare's body yet seeing this made Cynder feel dignified she had inflicted damage. Basically to prove a point to all of them with her frustration and anger.

Knowing the blue rodent wasn't worth her time anymore she sought out another feeding idea noticing a rabbit not too far from where they all stood. Puffing smoke from her nose she waited then released a stream of fire toward the flailing creature. As it screamed in the utmost terror, Cynder snaked her head outward and grabbed the dead animal, crunching noisily in front of her horrified companions. Releasing another puff of smoke she looked at them with a large smile.

"I've deemed that rodent not of my concern anymore. I'll leave for I grow bored of your pathetic welcome." she hissed looking over her handiwork, "Better find some means to keep that human warm elder.... I do think the snow is coming very soon."

She grinned extending her leathery like velvet crimson wings before pushing off in the sky with a great push of her legs. Pulling herself higher she laughed at them for the damage was done. Though the attack of the warrior mare had caused some bruising in her sides, she was still confident she could of taken them all if she wanted.

Celendria stood firm with Tirrana watching the scene continue in disgust of the desecration of a rabbit. Though she was thankful it wasn't Stitch, she still held fear for the little creature that had given Cynder satisfaction to leave. Stitch probally wasn't out of the clear though, for she just knew Cynder would return if she found a reason to do so. All Celendria was thankful of is that the herd and especially Tirranna was safe from anymore attacks. But what of her human friend now that her home was nothing but a memory the elder wondered. Cynder was right, the snows were on their way for they spoke to the mare in sweet lyrics and soft tones of chilled serenity. Tirrana would surely freeze when the first ice storm finally made his rounds in this land.

Celendria wouldn't let that happen, she just couldn't. Maybe if there was another of her kind she could possibly stay with during the rebuilding of her beloved sanctuary. This was the first thing the mare was pondering looking downward at the tear streaked girl.

Looking upward she smiled at the two new soquili that had helped her nodding to them with a welcoming whinny, "Thank you friends. You are welcome here though much does not reside from the demon's attack. I am quite sorry and apologetic things have come to pass like this."

Hsien-Ko stepped forward, her lungs heaving from the past battle. Some blood trickling from the spikes she encountered in the brawl to protect Celendria. "Tis fine elder. I am in your debt for letting you get injured as you have. I will stay and protect this herd if I am accepted to do so. No demon shall prevail as long as I stand over these grounds through light and dark times. This you have my word for I am Hsien-Ko the warrior."

Yuuri smiled bowing his head to the ice mare glancing over at the young flutter he fancied quite a lot. If he hadn't come this far on that journey, the elder may not be standing. He now carried a regular look about him for the shining pendent hung idly about his neck as calm as it had been before. "Elder. If it wasn't for Feena here wanting to go adventuring, we I would have never got the notion to follow her and come to ask for provisions...." he stated looking at the charred remains. Now may of been a bad time to bring that up anyway. "Ah yeah aha haa ha I don't think its anything to worry about anymore Feena."

Feena stepped forward after nuzzling her mother, "Well at least we're all safe and sound now right? That I'm glad for anyway. Yuuri I think the trip will have to wait for a bit. I'd like to help mom and her friends to clean up here a bit. Would you mind I mean soon as things are cleared up I'm sure the adventure won't go anywhere." She looked at him with a pleading look though her heart as well was dying to explore the great unknown.

Yuuri chuckled walking over steadily to stand next to Feena. "Of course. Hey I'll help too if you need me too. You know a big strong stallion helping out the damsels in distress, kind of a kingly thing to do huh?"

"Wel okay then I think this place is doomed. Where to start oh great thinkers and elder?" Shaylee asked with her nose scrunched up horribly from the burning charred remains.

"What we need to do first, and I'm sure Celendria has noticed this, is find Tirranna a place to stay till the ice storms are through. We can forage ourselves over the wintry months, but our friend here can't do the same. What say you elder of this proposition?" Lady Saissis queried with soft eyes lying upon the others as she spoke with a moving gentle voice.

"Indeed I think that's our best route to go now mother. I know these two-leggers are afflicted by the cold worse than we are at any given notice. I'm sure there are others that would help her if we alerted the mates of the herd from here. Like say umm Zaribe. Don't he have a mate with a twio-legger?" Glory stepped toward Tirranna tussling her hair with her muzzle playfully but gently.

"Umm... if I can make a suggestion," came the voice of a little dappled pony trotting through with the prettiest blue eyes, "Well I like the two-legger idea quite well. I think you all are wonderful to think of Tirranna than yourselves at a time like this. If there's anything I may do to help... please ask." Peaches nodded curtly with a little bow of her head.

Celendria looked to all of them and nodded, "Yes. The first urgency shall be finding Tirranna a place of residence till the winter and ice have passed. I shall not let her stay in this frigid winter much more if I can help it. I will seek out Dyami and Frosta for advice on the other two-leggers. Then we shall find her a place to stay." Looking downward she smiled at the girl and nodded. Now began another journey that Celendria was traveling toward.
