I've checked out the links you have, and although they were very helpfull, I still seem to be having trouble with a lot of stuff that didn't seem to be in any of the links I found.
One would be, how do you create monster groups? Cuz I can't seem to figure that out. I figured it out.
And two, how do you link one map to another? Like say, the character was on the main world map, how would I go about making it so he can enter a cave I put there? I know it must be an event or something, but I'm having troubles. Thanks for helping me guys!
When your testing your game, I know how to make the title screen show, but how do you actually MAKE the title appear? Does that appear when you make the game disk? Thansk guys!
How do you make it so when you defeat a monster group, there sprite on the map dissapears, but another one respawns somewhere else (So there will still be monsters one the map) Thanks Mion!
But I once again have another question. This is really a "Where the hell is it" Question. How do you make it so the party starts wih say 3 potions. Must I place an event? Is there a menu I can go to?
Its with 2k3, just so you all know!

This is very simple..I've never tried 2k3 but I'm assuming events are pretty much the same. First off, create the event, and make sure it's activated by "Player Touch"
Then, for the event itself just do "Teleport player to(where ever)"
If that doesn't help at all, I'll just download it myself and check it out.

Its with 2k3, just so you all know! Yeah, I understand, there aren't very many links for good 2K3 tutorials there right now, and I lost all my bookmarks the other day so it's taking me a while to remember all the places that had ones that covered a lot of stuff.
As for the map question, I think there are two ways you can do it with 2K3, but I'll list both of them.
[Example One] On the event layer, right-click on where you want your player to exit the map and go down to 'Place Teleport Event'. A little window will pop up, and all you need to do is pick the map you want your character to end up on, the appropriate tile, and which direction they'll be facing once they've gotten there. The first example would be best if let's say your character went up a flight of steps in a house to the second floor. You wouldn't need anything fancy, just moving them from one place to another.
[Example Two] Or, right-click where you want your character to exit the map, make a New Event, go to Insert in Event Commands, and on the second page go to Teleport. This will open up the same small window as in the example above. Once again, just pick the map, tile and direction, and press OK. This second example would be best if something dramatic was happening, like a crazy time machine that has some neat sound effects or animations going on before your character is teleported, as you can easily add these onto the event.
Please let me know if this helped. whee

Jaranu Thanks guys! That really helped a lot! But I have another question.. When your testing your game, I know how to make the title screen show, but how do you actually MAKE the title appear? Does that appear when you make the game disk? I think you need to actually make an image with the title, import the image, and then set it as the default image for your title. I think. Just make sure to add the image to Graphics/Titles folder and then import it from there (if you ever plan on sharing the game, that way the image will be included. If it isn't in the file people will get an error since the graphic won't be there).
I hope that makes sense. I haven't slept much lately. sweatdrop

All of the RPG Maker's are all the same imo. If you can work one, you can work the rest. :3

Maybe so, but when you're first learning, things can be overwhelming.

I can look around a bit and maybe find some links for you, I'll edit this post with them once I find some. I know there are some somewhere..
Edit: Hopefully this will help you out. Zxmelee's Video Tutorials I'm going to watch them myself, and see if I learn anything new. whee

Cut scenes are a pain..depending on what you want to happen. Just have to know how to work switches and flags..
I've recently download 2k3 so I'm messing around with that. For the monster group question, you want a sprite to appear elsewhere on the map after one is defeated?

For the monster group question, you want a sprite to appear elsewhere on the map after one is defeated? Yeah! But I also wanna figure out how to make the sprite dissapear when you defeat too! So I guess it's really two questions in one... Because In an early part of the game, when your going through a forest, you have to fight a group of goblins. I got it so they stay in a certain spot (So you have to fight them) And I know how to make it so they say something before the fight, but I fight them, win, but there still there, and since the sprite stays there, you can't even go any further!

Ok I've recently download RPG Maker 2k3 to find out it's exactly the same as RPG Maker XP..just less detailed..
So here's what you do-
1.Create your monster event when they're blocking the way. Your last event command should be "Erase Event"
2.The one before "Erase Event" should be "Switch Operations" and turn Switch 1 ON.
3.For your other monster group, change the preconditions so it will only occur when Switch 1 is ON.
And that's it. I tried to make it sound as easy as possible, but that may not be so. Let me know if this helped.
