 Full Name: Naida Melusine Emerson
Nicknames: Nai
Gender: Female
Age: Toddler
Profession: Smallness
Eye Color: Black
Hair Color: Gold/silver
Personality: Naida spends the bulk of her day lost inside her head, mixing reality with a healthy dose of dreaminess and fantasy. She's affectionate and can be friendly and outgoing one on one, but crowds make her uncomfortable. She tends to be fairly soft-spoken, unless she's excited - which doesn't take much. Although she does like being with people, she spends most of her time engaged in solitary activities, like reading or swimming...or both. She doesn't pay that much attention to her surroundings and doesn't always think through her plans, which leads to frequent accidental mischief. Her sense of fear and revulsion is dull, even for a toddler, and sometimes she'll do something like eat a bug or lean out of a fourth-story window without ever realizing why such a thing would be objectionable. She thinks walking would be nice, but she's fine riding her mommy and wouldn't want to lose her voice even if she could find a licensed sea witch.
Family: Naida's adopted mother is Laura, and as of yet she doesn't have any siblings. She claims that Ariel is her cousin, but this is debatable.
Favorite Things: - Oranges - Stories - Daydreaming - Pale green - Swimming - Fairy tales - Magic - Laura, Rachel, and Gina - Animals that don't bite - Quiet places - Mermaids - Music - Braids - Clouds - Rain - Snow (and sledding) - Baths
Least Favorite Things: - Hot, dry days - Sneezing - Too many people - Knotted hair - Squash - Eating bad things - Mud - Arguing - Animals that bite - Boring stories

Regina is Naida's first and best friend. The two met while sledding, and get up to all sorts of mischief together.
Gina is my favorite friend! She's pretty and I think she is a princess. She chews on bones sometimes.

What a dear little leaf! I wonder what it will become?

Well, it's planted! I guess we'll wait and see what happens.

Oh my goodness, she's beautiful! A sweet baby mermaid's come out of the leaf!
