I just got a notice saying I received my three thank you letters. I had no idea what they were talking about until I remembered I ordered some IN AUGUST. Gaia can't be that slow at opening their mail. neutral

GCSE is like, the exams you do at the end of compulsory education in England. I'm planning on taking a Chinese GCSE this academic year, so I got a revision guide! biggrin

Gha, I miss England. As I sit here and reminisce over some biscuits and tea, I realize that America is blagh. Its so new and boring, and the food doesn't taste nearly as good. And they don't sell scones in the grocery stores. And everyone sucks at driving.

A few weeks ago, there was a flock of turkeys in my backyard.

I used to see turkeys every Wednesday at 9:10 AM crossing a road near my house. On the way I walk to school, you know.

There's actually a lot of wildlife out there. Not long ago a deer came out of the woods about fifteen feet away from me. We stared at each other for a while, and then she ran off. The day before Thanksgiving, there was an otter swimming on a little lake that I walk by. And there was the Songbird Convention, where hundreds of songbirds — all sorts of them — were all in a short stretch along the road and were being very loud.

An otter? Neat. The best animal I've met, besides the obvious deers and squerrils, was a possum, and a vole. And this one really really huge woodpecker.

I think I saw a quail once smile

And I've seen a mouse in my school, mice in the underground, and foxes; sometimes dead on the side of the road, once in a country park (it was just a baby!) and once near my house. And then squirrels and stuff. We used to have loads of rabbits go to my primary school before the kids got there.

There was a mountain lion crossing the road one time, but I didn't see it because my dad thought it was a bobcat even though that would be cool too I guess. Our school is vole infested, or was. I've seen beavers and foxes too. There's a lot of wildlife here.

I like voles.
