Who: Mouse, Julian and Gage
Where: Gales & Virtue Bookstore
When: Mid-November, midafternoon
Weather: Gray and crisp
The Gales & Virtue Bookstore was all you would expect it to be: with various newspapers at the entrance, and then the latest and most controversial bestsellers being displayed not too far ahead and on pedestals and shelves in every other aisle thereafter. The books themselves didn't really give to or take from the atmosphere at all; their presence is what one would expect, and the genres and types were clearly marked. It must have been for the sake of everyone's sanity and well-being that literature of a religious nature was stationed as far away as possible from the 'Fiction' section.
Across the entire establisment lingered the scent of fresh paper, potpourri, and gourmet coffee: a pleasant combination, and most likely in a deliberate attempt to make the place as a whole feel more intellectual. If the people lingering about the cafe and meandering through the self-help section were any indication, the effect worked, as they all seemed pretty proud of themselves to be out here in search of a good book instead of sitting in their houses and getting entertainment from television and the internet.
Mouse's meanderings currently had her in the Philosophy section of Gales & Virtue, though for once in her life it was because she was waiting for something to catch her eye. Usually she would be looking for a specific book to take home with her. However, she wasn't looking for anything for herself-- it had been a little over a month since she left her fel essence and soul with Natsuki to be taken to the Lab, which had given her plenty of time to ponder on her future Raevan. This lead to the realization that the little bookshelf she had fashioned for its room was completely and utterly empty.
As such, she had arrived here to solve that problem. Someone else might have filled the thing with little toys and trinkets (and admittedly, a part of her was tempted to), but making sure her Raevan would be able to read as soon as possible was a huge priority for the green-haired girl.
